The weather felt nice against the hybrid's skin, her charm to keep her skin moist was doing a great job even in the cold and dry weather. Rowan kicked her feet at the bench she placed herself idly while she waited for her grandparents and brother to get back. They weren't too far off, just getting some sweet treats for her with from a cart vendor while they all enjoyed the park. She had heard the jingling of their bell and couldn't resist the call of something yummy. Her grandparents were happy to indulge as long as she waited for them to bring it over to her.

The hybrid couldn't help but sigh. As much as her grandparents and her brother, Thebe, tried, she always felt left out. Was it for her own good? Or was it that she was afraid to take up he challenge. She felt like she relied on them too much. She was always around Thebe when they were at school, having him take her from class to class even though by this time she had memorized those familiar paths. It was nice that everyone gave her extra attention just because she couldn't see, but what if that was all she was to them? An inconvenience or a little girl who couldn't do anything by herself.

Rowan could do whatever she wanted if she put her mind to it, she knew she could. She would make sure that no one felt like they had to help her out, only if they wanted to. Her family was finishing up their transaction so she slid off the bench to meet them with a warm smile, "Thank you for the treats! I bet they'll be good!"
