Alphard had seen his fair share of people running about as of late, and while he was no stranger to any one thing being odd or out of place? Random energy signatures never failed to capture his interest. Today he was just out by an old abanded and slightly overgrown with plant gas station by the highway. The prime place for both homeless and for agents to be looking for easy victims. And drug dealers. But random enegry signature was new. "Hey," he called out, "you new or something, cuz I get the feeling we might be you know, on the same MO you know?" Or not. Just because a signature didn't feel bad didn't mean the person behind it was good after all.

This wasn't normally the sort of place she'd go but she knew about the rundown state of the area and why wouldn't Negaverse agents, who weren't the nicest of people, go there to pick on the homeless people and take energy from them.
That was why she was here, to see if this idea might pay off. She knew it was a risk, and dangerous, but wasn't jumping from a plane also? And she enjoyed doing that. This also wasn't the same as going into Negaspace so she was fairly certain she wasn't jumping into too deep a pool, sort to speak. What she wasn't expecting was another aura or someone to call out to her. Her uniform was, thankfully, covered in a nice warm coat.
"Sort of new. You?" She asked making her way toward the other figure. She didn't know him, though she didn't know a lot of people really.

A... girl. Well. A page. Girl page. Knight in training or whatever. He smiled for a moment, looking around before giving a shrug. No bow or tiara told him that much at least. "Alphard of the Night missy. Super Alphard on account that's a ******** super cool." A lie. It was mostly his luck that he'd ever managed to gain power, much less that he'd actually gotten into position enough to need and merit it. Not that he'd complain. "You patrolling? I'm just kind of kickin back, since I cant feel anything bad around. None of those monster types either." He stared for a second then- "Any reason for the coat?"

"Gorner, page of Castor." She returned the introduction with her own, short and simple, as she glanced over the others clothing. it was certainly interesting and it stood out.
"Yeah, I thought a place like this with the homeless here might attract some people looking to take advantage of an easy situation." Shrugging her shoulders. Seemed none were here, perhaps a good thing. It meant there was little for her to do aside from head back further into the city and maybe run in to something there.
"Too cold out to not have it. I didn't get as lucky as you with a better covering uniform, mine is rather cold." It was far better suited for summer or even spring, certainly not fall or winter though.

"Gorner? Like 'she was a Gorner'? 'Gorner to the wind'? That is wild." He whispered to himself. So many potential jokes and puns one could make with that kind of name. Or, just general quips and comebacks. Jokes for days, he was tickled pink by it. "I figured!" He said, reflecting back to their conversation at hand, "most times they prey on the ones we don't think about so places like this tend to have one stalking about. Not tonight though. 'S kind of weird." He looked at her for a moment unable to really comment further on the uniform before he grinned. "Want to fight?" He motioned to the area around them. "Nobody should bother us, and, blood will help you get toasty warm. I've wanted to go against a knight and hey, no time like the present as the saying goes."

"From what my cousins said, and what little I've seen and heard elsewhere, it seems to be the way they are." So she had come here figuring it would be a good choice - right? Seemed it wasn't right now...a shame really. Maybe the park, the big one, in the city would have a few she could handle? It was worth a look at some point before she called it a night and headed home.
"Why have you wanted to go against a knight?" She asked, wondering what the reason was...was there even one? Was there something special about knights? She certainly didn't think so, especially with the little item she had gotten gifted. But she didn't say no to the idea of a fight, in fact she was kind of liking the sound of it to be honest.
"Guess if we're going to fight the coat has to go." It was too long and would just get in the way, more so than the damn uniform would. Slender fingers made quick work of the buttons and the zipper and under it she wore a rather short dress, slit up the sides, and a bit of armor. Really it was not fit for the cold winters of Destiny City...or anywhere else for that matter.
Letting the coat fall to the ground, she'd get it later, she stood there hoping for things to start quickly so she could be moving and warming her body...she did not care to freeze to death. "Well, come on then."

Whistling as she lost the coat, Alphard smiled and held up is hand towards her. "Well I wanted to try and fight a knight see how my magic worked you know?" But starting out with magic would have been a cheap trick so he chose the opposite. Besides fighting bland was just no fair. Running forward he threw a punch towards Gorner's midsection a mirthful determination in his eyes.

For a moment she stood and stared, not having expected his reaction to her attire, but after that moment passed she shrugged it off and let him speak. "Sounds fair enough. Can't say I have any magic myself though." So she was left with hands and feet, neither of which she had ever used for a fight. However, that didn't mean she was some weak female either. She just...didn't have the same instincts as others or the knowledge other people had. She was going to have to wing it.
Maybe she should have paid a bit more attention, or been abit more ready, either way she wasn't. She was just getting into the idea of doing more than simple banter and he was running at her. A fist connecting with her mid section sent her staggering back a few steps, an arm curling about the abused area. Well, that hurt and it brought her around a bit. Wagging a finger at him. "Not going to be that easy. You are going to have to work for it. You got lucky" She didn't want to drag this out, she really didn't have patience, but she wanted this to at least be fun.
When she was done stepping back, and comforting herself, she moved in and went for a kick aimed at one of his legs.

The shin. Of all the places to hit, she got his shin which had Alphard literally hopping on one foot hissing in pain. "SHHHhhhhhit. Coulda gone for my thigh- chrIST." He pat his leg before smiling through the sting, aiming to hit her back a few more times. Sleet Tempest Snape we can time skip gen sparring

Watching him hop about she broke out into laughter. "I could have - but didn't." She answered with a smile. There were a lot of places she could have gone for, but she hadn't. She had gone for the shin, like a child might do, but it worked.
The next few minuets, how many minuets she didn't know, she spent moving to avoid attacks, taking hits, and delivering her own attacks. She tended, it seemed, to favor kicks over punches.
Stepping back, away from the other, the white haired page took the time to glance the other over. This wasn't so bad really - fun in fact. She'd be bruised by the time she got home, if she wasn't already, she could feel the soreness for forming or already formed bruises in various spots. Thankfully most were hidden by her uniform. iStoleYurVamps Let me know if this works.

In the end, he was sweating, sore, and also stiff all at the same time. There was a burn in his muscles but in a way he knew he'd regret and love. It had been a good experience overall. Standing as his full height, he wiped his brow and smiled. "Think we should call it a night?" His shin was still, ironically, the most tender. "I don't want to have to go home and get jumped ya know."

"Yeah...I'm already feeling sore." She'd be grabbing an ice pack ,or maybe a hot soak, when she got home to try and ease it. Between the two the hot soak sounded better truth be told, since it was still chilly out.
"No doubt you are also - but worth it." She had enjoyed it, that much was obvious. There had been, and still was, a certain thrill. She liked a good rush, did a lot of semi dangerous things in order to get a good rush in fact. This was no different and wouldn't surprise those who knew her.
"Go home and get jumped...got someone at home waiting for you?" She questioned before shaking her head, laughing lightly. "That wouldn't be good. We should try this again." Moving a bit, shifting her weight, she felt that throbbing feeling one got from a bruise when poked just a bit too much. For right now she made her way to her coat and slung it over her left arm. If she put it on now, as hot and sweaty as she was, she'd over heat. She'd need it though as the heat would fade and she'd start to feel the cold again - and freeze.
"I'm sure, if you want, we can arrange something."

Alphard let out a nervous laugh. More like he lived in a place that was a little less than reputable. "Sort of. It's been.. fun though. If you need me, I'm around so-" He shrugged. "Safe walk home yo."
