She was the worst friend ever; absolutely terrible when it all boiled down. Regina was forgetful and scattered and... "How could you forget your phone? We weren't supposed to get separated..." Regina had convinced someone to let her borrow their phone long enough to sign onto mobile AIM to send a message to Joce. Left my phone @ the flat. Sorry we got lost, Joce! Heading back to grab it. Text me and let me know where you'll be. She'd gone back to let herself into the apartment, taking longer to recall where she'd left her phone than it had taken for her to get back to the apartment. When she finally found her phone she frowned at the lack of text message back from her friend. She sent another, reaching out to Joce again. [ Text to Joce: Made it back to the apt. Found my phone, obviously. Where should we meet up? ] When she received no response she sent another text. [ Text to Joce: Starting to worry. Don't hear your phone here, so assuming you have it. Just let me know if you're alright? ]

[ Text tp Regi: Oh the way back to your place. I now hate bats ] She hadn't intended to ignore Regina but with the commotion at the festival and the 'misshap' after she just hadn't looked at it. Somehow she'd figured out how to return to her normal self and when she'd finally picked up her phone she found the texts and cursed softly. [ Text tp Regi: Not far away ] They needed to talk though. She couldn't just -not- tell Regi about everything that had hapened.

[ Text to Joce: Are you alright? I'm sorry I got lost! Unlocked door for you. ] After sending the text she got up to do just that, unlocking the door so Joce wouldn't have to worry that she couldn't get back in to the flat. She then went to the kitchen to start a pot of water to throw some tea together-- Or maybe cocoa, depending on what Joce wanted when she got back. [ Text to Joce: Snacks? I'm sorry. I know we were supposed to have a night out. ]

[ Text to Regi: No I'm not really all right. Turn on the news ] She had seen the news trucks outside the festival so she knew there would be something about it on tv. If Regi hadn't seen it already that probably meant she hadn't been paying attention to anything which was rather like her. Thankfully she wasn't that far from Regi's apartment and managed to get back there without any other incidents. Nudging the door open she left her shoes by the door. "Regi? I'm back."

When the door opened Joce was met by arms tossed around her neck and an overly worried Regina clinging to her. "I'm so sorry I forgot my phone. I should have been there with you..." She prattled off almost instantly, although her voice was muffled by Jocelyn's shoulder as well as the sound of the television playing in the background. She'd gone to wait by the door as soon as she'd heard the slightest bit of the news, sorely tempted to head out to find her friend anyways even if she'd said she was on her way.

She grunted softly as Regi clung to her but slid her arms around her friend and hugged her back. "It would have been much nicer with you there ... even if that would mean you got hurt too." She was still bandaged up from where she'd been bitten and scratch. "Good to know that this place is still completely nonsense though." She managed a slight smirk.

"Absolute nonsense." She shook her head, giving Jocelyn a squeeze before letting her go and stepping back. Her brow furrowed as she spotted the bandages and she might have piped up with something else if the kettle she'd set to heat up water hadn't started to whistle. "Tea or cocoa. Maker, I'm sorry, Joce... I..." Her lips pursed together as she looked to her friend. How could she tell her that if she'd been there maybe there was a chance that she wouldn't have been hurt? How could she tell her that maybe she would've been able to do something to stop it?

"Next time don't forget your phone and leave me stranded?" She smiled slightly as she followed Regi back into the kitchen. "Tea I think. I could probably use some after everything today." She pulled her hair free of the braid knowing it was messy and she needed to re-do it anyway. "It ... i'm just glad to be back here where nothing else messed up can happen that isn't our usual weirdness." She shook her head as she flipped onto one of the chairs in the kitchen table.

Regina was oddly silent as she moved about the kitchen, setting two tea balls into two cups before adding the hot water. She let them steep for a moment before pausing by the counter, fumbling around in her pocket for a second. "A-about that. Joce... There's something I've been meaning to talk to you about. I haven't yet, n-not because I didn't want to tell you, but because I didn't know how." She pulled the signet ring out of her pocket, setting it down on the counter. "A few things have happened lately, outside of the usual weirdness. Like... Like this." She nudged the ring over to her friend as if somehow she might automatically know what it was without seeing the magical girl transformation. "I found this when I was going through some things at an antique shop... I swear this isn't any of my usual, weird nonsense, but it felt like it was reaching out to me so I took it. Then I started hearing things. Joce, I'm one of the weirdos."

She watched Regi go about making tea and rubbed at her arm a bit until she came over to the table. She'd expected another apology of some sort or begging for forgiveness. She didn't expect Regi to drop a ring on the table and start babbling about stuff. It took a few moments for everything to sink in and she looked between Regina and the ring for a moment before she started laughing. The sort of 'I've gone nuts and can't stop' type of laughing too. It took a good few minuets before she finally ran out of air and was able to get herself under control. "Well. At least I'm not the only one." She held out one hand and an ornate carved hammer dropped into it as if out of thin air.

She watched Joce as she went through what Regina liked to call the 'breakdown phase', concerned for her, but not concerned enough to slap her to get her to stop. "Maker's breath... You got a hammer? A hammer is so much better than a stick. Bloody hell," she huffed, reaching to push her glasses back onto her nose. That seemed to be all it took, though for Regi to go back to somewhat normal-- And that really was a step for her, all things considered. Back when she and Joce had first met seeing a magic trick like that would've sent her running. "... Did that happen tonight?"

"It looks like one my grandfather kept in his forge." She set it down on the table as she took a deep breath. "And it doesn't really weigh that much I think the head is hollow or something. It just looks pretty." She leaned back in her chair and looked back up at Regi with a slight nod. "Yea. On the way back here one of the freaks attacked me and this just sorta happened. The hammer appeared in my hand and next thing I knew I was in funny clothes and everything."

"We don't get a whole lot of information about things, starting out this way. I... Was a little bit lucky. There was an older knight that I ran into and he recognized the symbol," she brushed her thumb over the Earth symbol on her ring as she plucked it up before tucking it back into her pocket. "Celliwig of Earth... Y'know it gets weirder? We can travel to places too. Probably-- Probably better to save that for another night, though. You've been through a lot for one evening." She seemed to be talking to herself at the end, pulling the tea balls out of the cups before adding a bit of cream to each and nudging a cup back towards her friend. "Do we need to make a trip to the hospital?"

"No hospital." She shook her head. "There were lots of paramedics showing up at the festival so everyone who got hurt also got checked out. They cleaned everything up and I got banages. Nothing was deep enough for stitches." That had at least been a bonus in her eyes. "Yea I ... I think i need to sleep on all this before I start asking questions. It just sort of happened. Thurdheim of Jupiter. Which if I remember my mythology correctly is where Thor's forge is. So that's not somewhere you can really go right?"

"I've actually picked up a few more books on mythology after recent events-- Most of it has been Celtic and Arthurian, but I think I have one on Norse mythology from before. I've compiled a lot of research on Celliwig since I found out that I was different. Not nearly as much as I should have, I'm sure, but..." She wrapped her fingers around her cup of tea, taking in some of the warmth. She'd had paper records for some time, but when it became clear enough that probably wasn't wise she'd backed everything up digitally and heavily encrypted the information before storing it on a device that only she could access. Paranoid? Sure, but if anyone came after her the way they had come after the blogger she'd met paranoid was better than years of information lost. "That's probably an answer better saved for morning too, honestly. I can show you Celliwig and explain a lot more there once you're rested."
