The following vessels are exclusive to the Solarian Navy and are not sold to even allied nations. Please not that some images are placeholders until the vessels are used in RP. Anything marked Classified is OOC Knowledge, as this ships are still in production.

Shadow-class Prowler: The Prowler was a prototype that never went past a single ship. Instead of scrapping it or using it for training, Admiral of the Fleet Tylar Noche, who'd held the rank for all of a month, chose it for his flagship. He made sure the ship, then christened HMS ENterprise, was brought up to date with modern communications and stealth equipment. The weapons are barely destroyer level, but the ship can increases sensor ranges for allied ships around her, as well as increase the efficiency of fire-control and missile defenses. Armament and stats on the Solarian Naval flagship are currently classified.

Valkyrie-class Supercarrier (SC): This ship is currently CLASSIFIED as part of Project Overlord.

City-class Battleship (BB): This ship is currently CLASSIFIED as part of Project Overlord.

Deity-class Battleship (BB): The Deity-class battleship is the predominant force-application vessel of the Solarian Navy, designed with only one thing in mind: complete annihilation of enemy capital ships and orbital stations.

Atlas-class Missile Cruiser (MC): Atlas-class Missile Cruiser (MC)

The term 'Missile Cruiser' is a misnomer, as these vessels are more akin to battleships than anything else. While structurally weak, the Atlas is designed for pure missile saturation.

The Atlas carries 4,028,346 Starkiller missiles, which can be launched every five seconds, thirty per launch of each broadside.

The Navy has a limited number of these powerful ships.

Fortress-class Assault Carrier: The Assault Carrier is designed to be used with heavy ships, performing offensive and defensive operations and can hold its own in a fight.

Venom-class Battlecruiser (BC): The BC is designed for commerce raiding, as well as chasing down enemy ships attempting to flee. Useful for pirates and quick attacks on an unprepared orbital as well as screening and support for larger ships. Can be deployed in groups or solo. The Venom-class is larger, tougher, and heavier hitting than the old Lancaster. A single Venom contains the defenses and firepower of three Lancasters, as well as packing a more powerful engine and the best comms array available, making the Venom BC capable of filling both combat and support roles.

Hero-class Light Carrier (LC): The Light Carrier is designed to work with formations of light units, providing support via fighters. The Light Carrier can hold its own in a fight, but isn't designed to be handled like a normal warship.

Enforcer-class Marine Assault Cruiser (MAC): The MAC is commanded by a Naval officer and crewed by Naval personnel, but the purpose of a MAC is to deploy the embarked Marine Brigade (3,500 Marines). From the slots on the hull, the MAC fires orbital pods, each carrying a pair of Marines, with the intent of landing on the surface of a planet or hull of a station., This allows for rapid, precision deployment of elite ground forces, without having to rely on transports.

Designed to safely transport Solarian Army units, one Brigade at a time.

Myth-class Cruiser (CR): The Cruiser is the most common ship in the Navy, designed for a wide variety of solo and group operations. The Cruiser is the backbone of the Solarian Navy.

Weapon-class Destroyer (DD): Destroyers are designed for system defense, convoy escort, and as a recon and screening element for larger units. Almost always deployed in a group.

Highlander-class Corvette (CV): Designed for planetary and orbital station defense. Not equipped with a hyperdrive.

Raptor Heavy Fighter: A step below Corvettes, the Raptor is designed to attack and destroy weak points on a capital ship or orbital station, able to take multiple hits and keep on coming. The reason it was never considered a bomber is that the Raptor can also dogfight, though with none of the grace and agility of the Sparrow.

Murasame Multirole Fighter: This ship is CLASSIFIED as part of Project Overlord.

Hornet Multirole Fighter:
Hornets occupy a niche between Light and Heavy fighters, filling the role of both, though without surpassing them. The speed and agility of the Light Fighter, with the armor and striking power of the Heavy Fighter, Hornets are good at both dogfighting and assaulting capital ships. Hornets are used in small groups where any situation could arise. fighter is currently ready to be phased out with a newer model.

Sparrow Light Fighter: Sparrows are pure space dominance fighters, designed to pursue and destroy all other fighters. Not very effective against capital ships or orbital stations.

HMMS Hope: His Majesty's Medical Ship Hope is the first and only ship of her line, built off the hull of an old Invictus-class pod-laying superdreadnaught, having served in her war capabilities for only five years, prior to her conversion. Unlike other hospital ships, Hope travels around outside of Solarian territory, providing medical treatment to all, regardless of class, status or affiliation. Any criminal that requests treatment will be treated as a normal citizen and be allowed to leave unharmed.

HMMS Hope is 100% unarmed and only carries anti-missile and anti-fighter defenses, though she is equipped with a triple-layer shielding system. The CO and the actual ship's crew are all Solarian Navy, but the medical personnel are entirely civilian. HMMS Hope is one of the top hospitals in the Solarian Empire, carrying the most advanced, top of the line medical equipment available. Only the Ganymede Naval Hospital is better.

Under Article 24 of the International Human Rights Treaty, attacking or molesting this ship is considered a War Crime.

Florence Nightengale-class Hospital ship: This line of hospital ships is designed to bring higher echelon medical treatment wherever it is needed, be it the site of a planetary disaster, a naval formation after a large battle, or some poorer independent world. These ships are completely unarmed and travel without escorts*, relying on the goodwill of those nearby for defense. Unlike HMMS Hope, these ships have a patrol area.

Officer Ranks of the Solarian Navy

Flag Officers

Admiral of the Fleet (AotF): Responsible for the management of the Solarian Navy, specifically organization of Numbered Fleets, Fleet Operations, Defensive operations across the Empire, recommendation for Flag Promotions, and overall Fleet Policy. In the event that two or more entire numbered Fleets are to be deployed in an operation, the Admiral of the Fleet takes command over the fleets. Only one person holds this rank at any one time, appointed by the Emperor, confirmed by the Senate, from one of the six Fleet Admirals. Represented by a large blue circle on the left collar.

Fleet Admiral (FAdm): Responsible for the management of one of the six numbered Fleets, specifically all combat operations, defensive pickets in their Area of Operations, formation of Squadrons, and peacekeeping in their AoR. There are traditionally six of these prestigious officers*. Represented by five six pointed stars in a circle on the left collar.

Admiral (Adm): Normally responsible for a large Fleet formation, normally Battleship types or higher. Represented by four six pointed stars on the left collar.

Vice Admiral (VAdm): Normally responsible for Task Force commands, as well as running various Naval departments. Typically, the commanding officer of Capital Fleet holds this rank. Represented by three six pointed stars on the left collar.

Rear Admiral (RAdm): Responsible for Divisions of Battleships and higher, as well as commanding small Task Groups. Rarely found commanding Battlecruiser Squadrons. Represented by two six pointed stars on the left collar.

Commodore (Comd): Responsible for Battlecruiser Squadrons, as well as large defense pickets. The highest rank capable of commanding a single ship. Represented by a single six pointed star.

Senior Officers

Captain, Senior Grade (CaptSG): A Captain that has been selected for Flag Rank. These officers are rarely in command of single ships, and are normally commanding squadrons of Battlecruisers, heavy Cruisers, and light cruisers. Single ship commands are normally Atlas-class Missile Cruisers, Assault Carriers, and Battleships. Represented by four diamonds on the left collar, arranged in a circle.

Captain, Junior Grade (CaptJG): A normal Captain. Commands full fighter groups, single ships, orbiting stations, and divisions. May command a small squadron of Cruisers, Destroyers, or Frigates. May also be staff officers for flag ranks. Represented by three diamonds on the left collar.

Commander (Cmdr): Commands single ships or orbiting stations. May command a Cruiser Division, Destroyer Squadron, or Destroyer Division. May also be staff officers for Flag Ranks. Represented by two diamonds on the left collar.

Lieutenant Commander (LtCmdr): Commands single ships. May command Destroyer and Light Divisions. Represented by a single diamond on the left collar.

Junior Officers

Lieutenant (Lt): May command single ships. May command a Destroyer Division. Represented by three discs on the left collar.

Lieutenant, Junior Grade (LtJG): Serving officer. May command Frigates or Corvettes. Represented by two discs on the left collar.

Ensign (En): Serving Officer. May command Corvettes at the approval of the first Flag Officer in Chain of Command. Represented by a single disc on the left collar.

*There are currently seven Fleet Admirals. One of them is on administrative leave. The CO of Capital Fleet is a Fleet Admiral in authority only, but not in rank.
