 Characters Name: Fox Race: Hybrid - Kumiho + Geist Zodiac Sign: The Chalice University: Leviathan/Grendel Gender: Female Starting Stage: Senior Body Type Base: Kumiho base H, Ears 2. Wisps on ears tips, tail tips, and fluff on legs. Brief Description of Appearance: This character is based on my OC Fox. And I have a lot of art work that you can look at for more information! I would like her to be the tan color with the freckles and other markings on her body. I would like for her arms to be Geist arms, but her legs to be Kumiho paws. I would like her wisps to be white in color and I would like to see them on her poofy parts on her legs, just the tip of her tails, ears, and arms! Her eyes should have white sclera and be glowing white/gray for the pupil! I would like to see her hair long (not quite touching the floor). Custom form Name: Fox Starting Stage: Senior Race: Hybrid - Kumiho + Geist Base: Kumiho base H, Ears 2. Wisps on ears tips, tail tips, and feet. Face: Either something custom that really matches the beautiful eyes she has in her original form, or maybe base combo of 66 eyes and 62's mouth/nose? Description: Body: A very light tan in color, if you look at the original closely you can see that it fades into white in some areas and I would like to keep that! She has darker markings all over her body and we have to have those cute freckles on her face!
Eyes: Her eyes are just slightly darker than white, a very pale silver in color and glowing. If there is anyway way they could have Geists wisps, I would love that! But I understand if that's more a mutated trait.
Hair: Her hair is very log and actually cut unevenly in the back. It will probably not be seen anyway because of those adorable tail! Has two twin tails in the front with star balls in them! Would also like the hairpin in her bangs!
Clothes: Traditional Kumiho style! The clothing ref linked is a good one to look at for this! I really like the collar piece in the clothing because it changers the collar in the original into something that makes sense with the traditional clothing!
Tails: The refs show this pretty well!
Wisps: I would like to see the wisps on her feet, tip of tails, and tip of her ears. Not the whole ears, just the tops. If possible I'd love for them to be custom and sort of more spiritual flame-like, like in her original ref! Would also love wisps in her eyes or even the eye lashes? Don't know if that makes sense or even can be done! (let me know about this in the critiques!) Positive Traitsxxx• Enthusiastic-Optimist - Fox is always in high spirits, there's not a whole lot anyone can do to knock her off her pedestal. There's always a way to accomplish you're goal, it's just a matter of being smart enough, brave enough, and adventurous enough to figure it out! Fox lives and breaths by her ability to get though tough, sometimes seemingly, impossible situations. She is quick to turn her back on someone that proclaims something is 'hopeless' and completely gives up. She'll try to get someone back in the game, but she will give up on them if they seriously just give in. She'd rather do something alone, than let someone else drag her down.
xxx• Loyal - Fox is loyal to a fault. She may not always get along with her Mom or agree with her methods, but family is family and Fox would do anything for her mother. Fox certainly doesn't get attached very easily, but once she does she's a hard one to shake. If a friend comes to her in need, she doesn't even need to know what or why, just how can she help! I suppose this could get turned against her in some way. If someone tried hard enough they could fake a friendship with her and use her. It would just be a lot of work for something that they could get out of someone else with a whole lot less effort.
xxx• Whimsical - Do whatever you want, whenever you feel like doing it! Cause life is short and wouldn't you rather not regret missing out on something in life? Bottom of the line is Fox is fun, maybe a bit too blunt, and carefree in life. She'll always take her classes seriously, but at least she can have fun while she's at it!
Negative Traitsxxx• Vain - Fox thinks she's beautiful. She thinks highly of her opinions. She knows she's smart. And she definitely thinks her magical ability is 'da bomb'. You better feel like the luckiest person on earth when she's just even close to you; let alone talking to, working with you, or friends with you. Bottom line is, Fox thinks highly of herself and it's, again, very hard to make her think otherwise. Not one to handle criticism very well.
xxx• Competitive - Fox is a competitive soul, she thinks of most everything like a competition. Who can look best in that outfit? Who can make the best grade on this assignment? Who can cross the finish line first? Fox has been known to set up competitions with others to prove she's better than someone. Does it always work out in her favor? No, not always. But she still gets a kick out of riling people up in this fashion.
xxx• Vindictive - An eye for and eye, as they say. In Fox's case, it'll probably be more like an eye for a head. If you intentionally knock this girl down in some way she will definitely make sure you get some payback. She holds a grudge like you've never seen before. You better be prepared to skip town if you manage to embarrass her.

Hobbies and Abilitiesxxx• Medium and Battery - As far back as she can remember Fox has been able to see and interact with ghosts. At first, it terrified her. But after working with her mother, she grew fascinated with spirits. She started having trouble with her excess magic as a junior, again her mother helped her to get it under control. It wasn't all that easy at first. She now collects excess magic on her own or just spends as much of it as she can with illusions. This girl does not wear make up, it's all magic baby.
xxx• Illusion - Fox has always been gifted with a strong connection to illusion magic. She finds it fun and simply loves using it as much as possible in every day life.
xxx• Exploring - Fox wants to see everything that there is to see. There's just no way around it. If you tell her there's an off-limits area, you're just peeking her interest even more. Oh, and there's no way telling her a place is haunted will keep her away from it.
Personalityxxx• An apple for an apple, or so the saying goes. Fox is typically in good spirits and means little to no harm to those around her. Most people are a little intimidated to get to know her on a more personal level and she sort of likes it that way. She always walks with her back straight and eyes forward, never afraid to meet the eyes of a stranger. Those that do worm their way into her heart are welcomed with open arms and a will for her to do anything for them. If you cross this wicked Fox, be prepared. She always pays back, often at 10x whatever was done to her. She holds grudges and has been known to give people the silent treatment for years at a time.
Schoolingxxx• Fox earned her diploma at a school in the West Continent. She wouldn't lie and say everything was easy for her there. Most of the other kids were pure-Geists and they teased her a lot when she was younger for it. She tried to not let it get to her, but it still sucked a bit. She made friends with some of the other hybrid kids, they were not quite that rare anymore, and it got her though those awkward years. Once she was old enough and started to grow into her looks more she was prone to just calling people jealous.
She applied for Grendel after graduating and is looking forward to studying even more Illusion while she is there! Later she plans to attend Leviathan for enchanting as well!
My Race, Other races, and Myselfxxx• My Race - Fox doesn't know a lot about what it means to be half-Kumiho. She thinks they are a beautiful race at least and studies what she can find on them in books and online. As for being a Geist, she's proud of her heritage at least. She just wishes that it didn't revolve so much around stealing from each other. Her mother uses it in the worst case possible. She absolutely haaaates Geists who think stealing something of her's is a way of flirting with her. She may be half-Geist but if you touch her stuff you better run. I guess you could call Fox possesive of the things she has and she really doesn't think it's cute when someone tries to take something from her.
xxx• Other Races - Fox judges others by their character and not their race. So far she hasn't had an interaction with any one person that has painted her whole view on an entire race.

BackstoryFox grew up in the Geist Territories in the West Continent, she only had one parent growing up and it was her Geist mother. The two of them got along well enough when she was a young child. As she started to grow old she found that her Mother could be a little cold personality wise. She always seemed more interested in her work and passing down what she did for a living to Fox, instead of taking her daughter's own interests into mind. Her mother was an amazing Alchemist, probably one of the best. Her work wasn't always because of her own talents though, she'd often steal ideas from others or find some way to take another's work and use it to finish something of her own. She didn't straight up plagiarize, but people found it suspicious when she'd suddenly come out with a paper that looked a lot like something they also had in the works.
It became obvious to her Mother that she was a Battery at a young age, Fox couldn't get a handle on her ability to fade for quite some time. As a young child she'd disappear when her emotions got out of hand and would spend hours looking more like a ghost then someone alive. Her mother helped her to siphon off excess magic when she got a bit older and could handle the process. With a lot of work she'd learn how to do this for herself as well.
Fox got her talents as a medium from her mother as well, both born with the gift it seems. This terrified her when she was young and she'd beg her mother to help her with ghosts she'd seen on her way to school and such. She'd learn how to deal with them from her Mother and eventually she'd get to where she could ignore them if she really wanted to. Now-a-days she's actually fascinated with them and isn't shy about striking up conversations with them. Fox actually likes the idea of helping these spirits to move on with their life, but isn't against helping them torment some poor sap if they did them some wrong in their life.
As Fox got closer to her adult years, school would be over soon, she started to ask questions about her father. She never did as a child, thinking her mother might not want to talk about why they were so different. It wasn't until she was older that Fox would find out her Mother didn't even know her Father's real name, just that he had gone by Aoi at the time. Apparently he'd been a traveler, coming from Above and seeking Knowledge in Below. They had ended up working on a project together and imbued, not out of love, but rather the desire to pass on their talents to an offspring. Fox doesn't know if she lives up to her father's expectations, but at least she hopes she lives up to her mother's in one way or another.
Once she graduated from her school on the West Continent she started to seriously think about what she'd want to do in the future. She had little interest in Alchemy and was fairly certain her mother would just try to claim her research as her own. Illusion was fun, and something that Kumiho tended to be fairly good at themselves. She was fairly gifted with magic, so why not study enchanting as well? There was also a desire to travel, go all over the world seeking...something. She wasn't quite sure what it was yet though. She decided to make a radical move though, in part to get away from her mother and in part to live on her own. She applied for Grendel first, wanting to study Illusion. Then she'd finish her schooling at Leviathan. It would give her the opportunity to see the world in a new way as well!
Plans for the FutureFox really wants to travel to Above at some point to see the Forest where her father would have grown up. She's also hoping to find some clues as to who he is there as well. At least she has an alias to go by, but it's still a mystery to her why he'd even use a fake name. Was he running form something? Would it be dangerous for her to go snooping around looking for him? She guessed she looked a lot like him. Her mother was a pale, mostly white, Geist with blond hair. They barely looked like they were related. Still, even if it is dangerous, she wants answers.
Schooling is very important to her, she'll probably Graduate before going to Above. After school is over she'd like to see everything in both Below and Above. Well, everything might be an exaggeration, but at least the High lights! She'd like to explore places not explored before! Her dream is to be the first to discover something before anyone else!

Roleplay Prompt Oh no! Your Nightmare has lost something that is very dear them! What have they lost, and how do they react? Fox was livid when she realized her hairpin had gone missing. It was an item that her father had left behind for her and if someone had stolen it from her she was going to tear them into so many small pieces no one would be able to identify them. She had already been through a full day of classes at Grendel; studied at the library, gone out for dinner with some classmates, and made it back home by the time she noticed it was missing. That was unlike her, she must check her reflection once every 30 minutes at least.
It had been a busy day though and all she could do was start backtracking. She went back to the restaurant first, it was the last place she had been. Maybe it had fallen out there and some kind person had turned it in. The look on her face when she stormed in had scared the hostess off before she could even say anything. Instead she stood there with her arms crossed and waited impatiently for someone else to greet her.
A few moments later the manager approached her, looking nervous despite their ability to handle difficult customers. "Can I help you?" Fox let out an irritated sigh. "I'm just looking for something I misplaced." She pulled out her phone and found a picture of her with the hairpin in view and explained that she had lost it and was hoping someone had turned it in. "I'm sorry, no one has turned it in, but you're-" They didn't even get to finish their sentence before Fox stormed passed them and went to look at the table where she had been sitting. After interrogating the people now sitting there and not finding anything she left for her next destination.
She didn't have much luck at the library either. She terrified two librarians and at least half a dozen students before coming up empty there as well. She was thankful that the school had night classes at least, so she could go through the building as well. Things were starting to look pretty grim at this point, at least none of her classrooms were currently in use so she didn't have to interrupt any classes, and you bet she would have. Her trendils looks like live-fire by the time she was done searching everywhere in the school she could think to look and came up empty.
Someone had to have it! Someone had taken her hairpin and they were going to pay when she found out who they were. She went to bed angry that night and woke up more just depressed in the morning. She slugged her way through her morning routine and nearly cried when she went to reach for her hairpin that wasn't there to place it in her hair.
When she got to her first class that day she sat up straight in her chair and watched every student as they walked through the door. Would someone be stupid enough to wear it? If they were, she'd call them on it immediately. One of her friends from the night before walked in and saw the burning look in her eyes and came over to sit next to her. "What's got you all...y'know." Fox scoffed at them and then pointed to her bangs, obviously giving them a chance to guess what was wrong. "Oh! That's right, I found this after you left last night." The rummaged around in their bag a bit before holding out their hand and there it was! Her hairpin!
"YOU FOUND IT!" Fox nearly cried when she snatched it out of the other's hand. She didn't mean to be so rude but she couldn't stand to be away from it any longer. At least her friend just laughed it off. "It must have fallen out when we ate or something. It was in the corner of the booth against the wall. You're lucky I noticed it before I left. Sorry, I should have texted you or something." "You should have! But it's okay, thanks for returning it!" And why hadn't she thought to interrogate her friends in the first place? That would have saved her all the trouble of hunting for it yesterday.

Hi Leo! I'm going to be critting your quest <3 So far Fox looks really great. There are a few things I want to touch upon before I can give you the all clear.
Design
- She looks really cute! I like her a lot and you have a lot of good references listed.
Personality
- Fox has a fun personality and I think it works together. My question to you is - Why are people intimidated by Fox? This was mentioned in her overall personality, but in her traits she is described as enthusiastic and whimsical. Someone like that sounds like a person others would be drawn towards, not repelled from?
- Speaking of enthusiastic, the way the trait is written it sounds more like optomistic. Optimism can be described as hopeful or anticipating the best outcome for an event. Enthusiasm is being excited for the event, regardless of the outcome.
while both describe her, it feels like Optimism is a better fit? What do you think?
History
- Her backstory is good. I like how well it defines how her personality came to be and how her current ambitions and goals are in place.
- Lore-wise, there is one part that sticks out to me. If she was raised with Geists, by a Geist, it would be very unlikely for her to hold their courting rituals in concept. Is there a reason she feels this way? Was there a particularly bad string of flirters who soured her like of them? Or is it due to how her mother plagiarized others work? What is stolen in geist society is typically physical in nature, so it can be flaunted and/or taken back. So someone plagiarizing ideas would be extremely unpopular. Her mother's actions would be seen as atypical behavior.

- There were a few spots I struggled with when I was reading. This extends to the whole profile as well. If you could go through it and fix up any mistakes and grammar issues you find, that would be awesome. : D thank you!

Personality
- So, I think Fox probably intimidates people with her looks and very loud personality. It's one thing to be like a friend to her when she's in a good mood and cheery. It's another to create deeper personal friendships with Fox. So while she might have a lot of friends or acquaintances, I'd say a good number of them might not want to get too close to her? If that makes sense. I did tweak a bit in that section.
- Hmm, I was trying to go for something more than just optimistic. Cause that applies more to specific situations. For now I'm just labeled her as an Enthusiastic-Optimist. Haha.
History
Changed some things up with her Mom in here.
Fixed all the mistakes, hopefully. xD I was very tired when I worked through it before. oops.
And I did talk about Fox looking for her dad in the 'Future' part of her Backstory. She does indeed plan on looking for her once she Graduates Uni!
