Physical Description: Che is a short, stocky woman, with waist length black hair and honey brown eyes. She prefers skirts and dresses to pants, and likes to let her hair flow loose. She always seems to be wearing a smile on her face, and a bright, challenging look in her eyes. Her skin is a dark caramel color.
Personality: No Nonsense
Che is a very blunt and forward woman. She doesn't like to beat around the bush, she feels like it's a waste of valuable time, especially in the heat of a medical emergency. This doesn't mean, however, that she can't cushion a blow if something she has to say may hurt the person she's talking to.
Ambitious
She wants to be the best in her field, and works hard to improve herself at every chance. Sometimes this means she pushes herself too hard and she burns herself out. She's trying hard to fix this in herself, but she can't stop herself from wanting to help.
Reliable
Che can always be relied on to do what she says she's going to do, or at least to the very best of her abilities. She hates having to break promises though she does her best to avoid making promises she's not sure she can keep.
Competitive
As stated earlier, Che wants to be the best. Usually this translates to her pushing herself to be a better dragonhealer. But not always. This can lead to her being aggressively competitive in games. Not necessarily a sore loser, but she can get a little grumpy if she doesn't win.
Jealous
Usually of someone else's skills, she tries to use this to fuel her ambitions to improve herself but some days it just doesn't work and she gets grumpy and snappish. She'll never steal or hurt anyone because they're better than she is, but she does doubt herself sometimes.
Bossy
She likes to be in charge. A natural-born leader, she can be domineering and bossy. She recognizes this in herself and tries not to let it become a problem but sometimes it doesn't quite work. This can become a problem, especially with people who don't appreciate being given orders.
History: Cheora and her twin brother Chetane are the only children of a Healer mother and a Baker father. While her parents work, Cheora and Chetane spend their days at the creche and it's there that Cheora made fast friends with a bubbly girl name Rinis. As a child, Cheora could often be found in the brunette's company, and if she wasn't with Rinis she was likely with her twin. When the twins were about six turns, their parents brought them to visit their respective workplaces.
At first, Cheora was sure she would want to follow in her father's footsteps and become a Baker. She imagined all the delicious breads, pastries, and treats she would be able to make for her family and friends. However when she was eight, tragedy struck. The twins' mother came down with a simple infection that could have been cured. However, the Healer's bay was full of people with winter colds and their mother would not stop and rest. The infection spread and attacked her heart, and it was then that Cheora decided to become a Healer. She began her training under her mother's friends at Western Weyr and at the age of ten left her family and friends to continue her training at Fort Hold. Dragons had always been a source of fascination for the young woman, and when she was thirteen she switched her focus to Dragonhealing. Cheora was eighteen when she walked the tables to become a Journeyman.
She often trades messages with her loved ones and was excited for her friend when Rinis decided to become a Candidate or, failing that, a fire lizard breeder. She loved the little creatures herself, though she hadn't been lucky enough to Impress one of her own. Once Rinis decided to become a Candidate, Cheora did everything she could to attend most if not all of the Hatchings at which her friend stood. She knew the day that Rinis Impressed would be huge for her and Cheora wanted to be there to celebrate with her.
When she isn't studying, training, or attending Hatchings, Cheora enjoys listening to the Harpers and helping around the creche of Fort Hold.
