Knowing what she was planning on doing that day, Katrina had gone to the school wearing something nice. She'd picked out a simple black pencil skirt, pulling it on over a pair of black stockings-- Classy ones with the line running up the back along her calf. The pumps she'd picked resembled old saddle shoes and she'd borrowed a nice, white blouse from Prissy (nothing white ever lasted long in her wardrobe). She topped it all off with a black blazer containing a scarf in the pocket that was as close to the color of Romano purple as she could get.

"Not too bad," she murmured, glancing herself over in the mirror she'd attached to the visor of her car, touching up her bright pink lipstick before sliding out. The keys were tucked into her purse once the car was locked and she made her way across the campus, heading in the direction of the teacher's lounge and very pointedly avoiding the English wing.

Impersonating a teacher, or a student, was probably a terrible idea. It could likely get her into a decent amount of trouble-- She didn't seem to care.

The halls were empty, saving her the trouble of making excuses to anyone about what she was doing there. It would be easier the next time-- Once she'd been to the lounge, seen it with her own eyes, she would be able to teleport in when powered up... Not that she should be teleporting, she was sure, but did she care?

"No," she muttered to herself as she continued down the hall, heels click-clacking as she walked. She paused outside the door to the lounge, peering just beyond the cracked door with a soft smirk before nudging it open so she could slip inside.

"I'd heard a new teacher was recently recruited to Romano's. I was hoping that it was you, Professor."

"I've taken a brief tour before... I was telling you the truth when I said that an ex of mine works here-- Worked," she corrected herself, lips curling into the slightest trace of a snarl. The betrayal was still fresh enough, although she had moved past 'emotional' and straight to 'dangerous'.

"There are far better things to discuss than that, though. Are you enjoying the school so far? Different than the University, isn't it? Especially when it comes to the perks... Have you had the chance to test any of those out yet?" There was a smile on her face as she fished for answers that he either did or didn't have. She'd like to hope that whoever he had spoken with had hooked him up with the full benefits package-- Unless she'd been wrong and there wasn't anything promising about him.

"Tea from home or do they keep anything good here?" She added as she stepped closer to him, reaching out to invade his space by placing her hand on his cup, drawing it close enough that she could take a sniff at the steam rising out of it. "Mmm."

"Oh, there are most definitely students abusing the perks," she laughed as she brought her hand up to swat his away, resisting the urge to make another face at the fact that he was getting into her space as well. "But that is why it's good to have firm teachers in place-- People to make sure that they are well rounded, well educated and are entirely aware of what the rules and restrictions are as they rise up through the ranks." A brief pause. "... I meant years."

She hadn't. Clearly.

"Won't mention him again if you're up for helping me find a distraction tonight. Usually it's racing, but the weather's been a bit nippy for that lately-- Not impossible, just not wise. If you're up for a change of scenery we could always change clothes and I could pop us somewhere else." The last bit was said with a snap of her fingers, bright green eyes gleaming as she grinned.

"What do you say? Fancy an adventure?"

"It sounds to me like someone could have used a bit of that firm teaching. Rules and restrictions would mean you can't be in the teachers lounge, much less on school grounds, and should watch your tongue about rankings." He smirked, a low laugh rumbling in his chest. "Lucky for you there isn't anyone else around to hear you. To busy with their own distractions to stick around campus."

If he'd felt like doing anything else he wouldn't have stuck around either but the school was nice when it was actually quiet.

"As for an adventure ... there will be no popping of anyone anywhere from here. The staff is mostly gone but there are still some around, teachers and students alike, who don't need to be privy to some information." The windows weren't covered enough in the lounge to really hide anything from someone walking past. "My classroom on the other hand. Much better for a change of clothes."

"Just because you are no longer school-aged doesn't mean you can't continue learning. You would just require a different sort of teacher." He smirked slightly, a bit of the far less composed man he was shining through in his eyes. His new position had been freeing in ways he hadn't expected and he had started to feel quite a bit younger than he was.

Katrina on the other hand seemed like she could still use a bit of a level head around her.

"Reckless." He tsked as he moved to put the papers back into his bag and set the strap over his shoulder. "You only weren't caught because despite the usual drag on Fridays most of the staff left for the weekend already. You can't always rely on chance." With his bag in hand and Kat following he headed out of the staff lounge and back toward his classroom.

"Spend some time in jail and you will learn quickly that self preservation can be just as rewarding and sometimes the better option." His smirk widened slightly. That had been an interesting time in his life and he'd learned a few things about himself that he may haven't ever had the chance to otherwise. "I tend to chose my adventures carefully Mrs Kat."

The hallways were empty as they made his way to his classroom so he wasn't worried about her not paying attention to anything but him. In a way it was flattering even if it also probably said something about Katrina that wasn't healthy either.

At her comment about the college he laughed softly. "No. I am afraid that the enrollment office does not take kindly to being paid in pretty smiles and favors. Though some of them might take the favors anyway."

"And when you find a risk that you like and it puts your life in danger?" He raised a brow slightly. "Some risks are worth it, I will agree with you on that, but I would wager that I am far pickier with mine than you."

Not only because of how she acted but also because she was younger. He had been far more willing to jump into things twenty years ago. Was he that age he would probably be happy to take whatever risks she suggested.

"Is that why you decided to come hunt me down? For the risk?"
