Melody had been feeling horrible all morning, throwing up and difficulty breathing. She had tried to deal with the problem on her own, searching on her phone what could be the cause of her symptoms but it only gave her results pertaining to humans and true-races that she hoped didn't apply to her. Eventually, she texted Leukos and tried to move to the best, stumbling slightly but coming to a sit on the floor.
Leukos knocked on the door slightly but didn't hear anything at first before knocking again. A faint voice beckoning him in. Opening the door, his eyes fell on Melody on the floor first, immediately rushing to her side. "Melody.. are you okay?!" he asked, a panic on his face that he normally never showed.
Melody was taken deep shaky breaths as she held a hand to her chest. "...I don't know... I... I don't know... I've been throwing up all morning and my chest hurts so much... I... I woke up like this.." she explained through small gasps before settling with her rapid breathing.
"Dammit, Melody. I'm calling Mara... this is serious! Why didn't you say something?!" He was already pulling out his phone when he shook his head. //Mara, Melody needs help, she's really sick and in pain. She can't breathe and is sitting in her room.// he relayed, focusing his thoughts the best he could.

//What?..... // there was a pause as Mara stared down at a vial of blood and frowned. //....Get one of the doctors ... I'll do it. I'll meet you both there// she said cursing as she called the medical wing and telling them there was an emergency with one of the metas. It was mostly a skeleton crew there now until there was more active fighting or other reasons but the pixie doctor and a few other personal where still there from yesterday. It was only yesterday ...
"I'll be back .." she muttered looking at Kae. "Melody seems to be having some problems" she said with a hint of concern as she put the vial down and headed out, stepping through the cleaning room before taking off what she was wearing as quickly as possible as she tried to keep calm. She couldn't do pretty much anything even if she did teleport up there now covered in...well she could definitely make it worse that is for sure.
Once done she headed toward the medical wing.

The pixie doctor knocked on the door as two medical assistants stood slightly off to the side holding on to a bed encase she needed to be moved. . "Hello?" the doctor said glancing at the room number.

Leukos immediately moved to pick her up with ease and was about to leave the room when the doctor and assistants arrived.
Melody winced as he picked her up, resting into his arms like she did when they were kids. "..i'm sorry, Leukos.. I didn't want to worry you.."
He frowned, "Melody, I'm always worried about you. You can't help that, you mean too much to me for me to just ignore your well-being." Moving to lay her in the bed they brought, he nodded to the doctor. "It's okay, they are going to take care of you, and I'll be right here with you." he assured, still worried to death about her.
Melody nodded, having too much trouble breathing to answer.

The pixie fluttered his wings in alarm moving to check her as Leukos placed her on the bed. Nope they had not come prepared for this and he started walking fast as the gurney was pushed as he looked to Leukos. "How long has she been like this?" he said looking from him to Melody "What are you feeling? did you eat anything recently?" he asked concerned, asking her questions trying to pinpoint the problem up to the point they reached the medical wing and they moved her to a room. Inside they connected her to an EKG and placed a oxygen mask over her as someone got ready to place an IV.
Mara walked in and automatically moved out of the way with a look of concern as she stared at Melody then searched for Leukos.

"She said since this morning. Vomiting, chest pains, and difficulty breathing."
She whimpered before taking a deep breath and looking to the doctor. "...pain... hollow.." she muttered. "I.. haven't eaten anything..." she relay before she started crying. "I'm sorry... i'm... i'm sorry..."
He looked even more worried as he stared at her soul, just confused what she meant by "hollow".

Mara frowned as the medical staff set up the machines around Melody. Focusing on Melody she shook her head " Heart problems?" remembering this was Melody, did she have the same heart problem as Hexxis?.
The pixie stared at the read out and didn't respond to Mara as he moved back to a chart and stopped when Melody mentioned hollow. "Hollow?" he asked intently as one of the nurses set up the IV then used it to fill a vial.
"Second one for me" Mara interrupted quietly as the nurse looked up in surprise, recognized her and moved to get a second one. Mara turned her attention back to Melody and shook her head "Stop saying sorry. Your sick, it happens. Lets try to figure out what happened. Take a deep breath...try to relax. I'm not angry so don't start thinking I am" she said trying to be comforting while also being stern at the same time, surpised at her own reaction but she was worried. Hexxis pissed her off when they tried to help her and now she was dead, so what about her sister? This was not the time for her to panic and be unable to breath. "Relax..." she glance toward the Pixie who was frowning as adjusting the air mix for Melody.

She was slowly getting her breathing to slow, but it was still fast and strained. "...here..." she commented softly, moving a hand to her chest, not her heart, but to the side, where her lung was. There was a slight grimace to her expression, as she closed her eyes and tried to get the sick feeling in her stomach to go away.
Leukos was trying not the look alarmed. "I don't see anything wrong with her spiritually... her soul is fine... Do you think-..." he hesitated, looking to Mara. "...the same as Hexxis?" he asked with a growing concern.
She looked very worried, "...d-did they-... am i.. going to die...?" she was starting to panic more, breaking into a soft sob which didn't help with her breathing one bit.

Mara paled as Melody pointed to her lung, in the exact place Hexxis was stabbed. She glanced at Leukos and grimaced at he added the last part when it was not needed here and now.//and...there she goes. Shoot// Mara thought to herself as she took a breath and moved to Melody.
"Melody, look at me. Breath...it isn't the same as Hexxis. Hexxis had a heart problem and your heart is fine. Look a thing the screen if it was like Hexxis it would be all over the place and everyone here would be pumping you full of what ever heart medication they need to give you " ignoring the soft scoff of the Pixie behind her as she stared at the point Melody pointed too.
"Hexxis? Is she her sister?" The Pixie spoke up looking between them intently, seeing a faint similarity now. "Or daughter?" Metas were so hard to classify sometimes.
"Twin sister" Mara said with a softer irritated growl.
"Hm...I'll send for a scan as well " he said quietly looking at Melody and at where she pointed. "A full upper body scan. " he clarified then blinked and looked at Mara. "Do yo-"
"Yea...the te- just yea. I'll have him come up and run the machine" Mara said pulling away as she made a quick call a request then hanged up. "He's heading up".
"Why would her soul look odd if it was her body that was dying" a soft voice that only Leukos might hear muttered quietly to itself from the corner of the room.
The faint outline of an archangel with dark purple hair and wings fadeing to yellow stood there, arms crossed with a slightly perplexed look at it watched the proceedings.

Melody shifted her eyes to the monitor as Mara explained it wasn't the same as Hexxis' condition, nodding as she was slowly calmly down again.
Leukos whipped his head up as soon as he heard a voice that wasn't already in the room. An intruder? His hair was bristling and shifting colors in defense as he narrowed his eyes on the future in the corner. //You better start talking. Who are you?// he demanded, a growl to his words as he did not appear happy about unexpected visitors, especially with Melody hurt. He just might be quick to assume this person had something to do with it. //Because not every injury is physical. Just like when a spirit separates, it can cause these symptoms. So why are you here....// his tone wasn't getting any softer as he stared at the outline of the figure.

"Okay" he said simply as he moved to tie the IV to her without taking it out then moving to fiddle with the paper as he gave the technician time to arrive and likely turn on the machine, calibrate and so on and so forth. At least this time they weren't working with collared metas, it has been something that had bothered him about Hexxis, if they were supposedly free why had she been here when she just wanted to go home.
"Marisa...could you go check to s-" he started to say then froze as Leukos hair suddenly brightened and bristled just like a cat. For a moment the doctor flickered to transparent then back but stared at the other meta then Mara. It didn't look like he was looking at them though and he slowly relaxed.
Mara snapped her eyes toward Leukos and followed his gaze but saw nothing. "What's wrong?" She asked quietly, her hand moving toward her phone even if Wizard was living at the base for now as a safety precaution after what happened before they tried to rescue a Tri. Her other hand had swirls of darkness ready but not formed.
The spirit said nothing, only casually glanced behind him trying to see if someone had come from...the corner? He started to turn back when his question was answered and snapped his gaze up at the rainbow haired meta. Eyes narrowing to a squint as if he was looking at something that might have been painfully bright.
"Uh.....me?" Was his incredible intelligent response as he moved a little from side to side to see if Leukos was tracking by him. "You can see me?" Feeling exceptionally bright today he laughed then quickly turned serious because the meta looked ready to tear into something and maybe it would be him. Even if he had yet to see someone still alive hurt one of them, tthere had to be a reason all those other spirits had muttered about a bright light, except that cat thing, that one just wandered off to the crazy elf.
Even now he was taking steps toward Leukos instead of away before suddenly stopping with a faint look of confusion. "My name? Um..." there was a pause as If he was trying very hard to remember it. "Ametrine Gold...I think " he tilted his head to the side and looked at Melody even as he seem relax more as closer the closer he was to Leukos. "She is Hexxis sister...did Tri adopt her too? Having her here must be painful for him after Hexxis's death. " he muttered sympathetically.

Leukos looked so defensive until the spirit answered with his name, his demeanor immediately changing to surprise and confusion. This was... the spirit that followed Mara around a lot. Although it never attacked or seemed to want to harm her, he did keep a very close eye on it. But to finally speak to the spirit and find out the name. "...gold?..." he muttered, as he watched him approach, a look of sympathy on his face as he appeared to be too preoccupied to here Mara.
His hair shifted back to its normal color, smoothing down slightly as he stared at the spirit. "...are you related to her...?" he asked aloud before glancing away a moment. //No, she's... adopted by Mara... Hexxis and her weren't very close and grew up separately.//
Leukos suddenly paused, wide eyed. "...what?!.." He was showed a flicker of alarm as he looked down to Melody. //...hexxis is-...//
He suddenly moved to the spirit with a sense of purpose, a range of emotion. Panic, anger, confusion, despair. "How do you know that??!" he demanded. s**t, this wasn't good. Was this affecting Melody? Gaia, if she found out, she'd likely freak out. How... how were they even going to tell her.
Melody could hear Leukos muttering and talking before opening her eyes halfway to watch him stare at something that wasn't there before moving toward it... Arguing with it? "...leukos?.." she whispered, concerned. What was even going on...

"I think so..." there was a pained look as if it were trying to remember and couldn't be sure, he just remember what he wanted them to do but everything else has been slowly fading through the years. He watched Leukos's hair dim and fall down slightly with a look of curiosity until his outburst.
Blinking he flared his own light in warning as two swords made from his own soul materialized in his hand but he didn't move forward or back instead the light flared back down and the sword demateralized as Leukos got closer. He was aware, suspicious but overall acted sedated. Silently he motioned to Mara "Yesterday, a text from Tri ...her body stabbed through the lung and pieces of someone named wind....no" he shook his head. "Zephyr? I think ..yes. They were testing trying to figure out how she died" he looked back at Melody. "She should take her as well...leave SIU and the mess with the governments" he muttered very quietly.
"Leukos!" Mara said harshly trying to grab his attention before Melody freaked out more and she started worrying if something was happening to him. As far as she knew he had never done something like us before. "For the none telepathic among us can you tell me what is happening. Are we being attacked?"

Leukos balled his fists tightly, 'Zephyr.. Hexxis stabbed through the chest... just like Ashral.'
He looked angry before Mara calling his name, snapped him out of his focus, whipping around to look at her. Hesitating, looking to Melody, the down. Right, Melody was hurt. But she was in pain in the chest. Where Hexxis was stabbed. Taking a deep breath, he looked to Mara seriously. "No.. I just... got distracted. Sorry." //Ametrine Gold.// he started off, trying to figure out how to tell her. //He says Hexxis was killed... stabbed through the lung by Zephyr...// he narrowed his eyes. //My own animosity aside... do you think what's happening with Melody has anything to do with Hexxis...// he was searching, his eyes looking to Melody before he moved back to the bed, trying to pretend nothing was wrong. //The lady that raised us... she had a twin. And they could feel everything the other felt. While I never saw Melody show any signs of that... it isn't something to dismiss.//
He glanced to the corner again. //Getting Mara to leave SIU is... no easy task. But maybe with what's happening.. she'll reconsider.//

Mara looked relieved when he snapped out ready to push for more only to pale completely with his next words. //What? Where did you he-...// she stopped as he continued, her gaze moving around the room in panic as she tried to see what he saw. //He's dead ..he's....../ she shut up running her hand through her and fisting it at the end before looking up. "It's fine. He's just getting some unwanted news...uh. Marisa see if he's ready" she waved her hand to the door as she moved to lean a bit heavily against on if the storage cabinets. She saw the proof of mane and malice's why was she going to doubt the guy who kept Ashral calm and cou,d talk to spirits? But why....why now.
It took her a bit to focus on what he was saying as she looked around the room with a pained glance. //Yes, she's dead. Captured by Haven and Criel. Don't spill this but no, it likely wasn't by Zephyr...her metal like bones were cracked to get that sword through to her lung and her sword didn't originally have his fingerprints .// she muttered. // Zeph doesn't have the strength and if he does we are going to know about it soon enough. It means nothing..not with things like telekineses and other powers around// she trailed off looking in the direction Leukos was still watching. //Didn't kill herself either, no cuts on her hands and the handle would have been past her reach // she muttered blankly. //He is watching us? Freaking idiot......it's been years why is he still here// she let go of her hair and took a deep breath.
"Doctor (name) know anything about twin links?" She said looking to the Pixie who had been staring at them silently.
At his name he turned his attention to Mara and frowned looking to Melody. "A little, infrequent in true races almost none at all in humans. Not my area of expertise, I would hazard a guess that it might appear in metas due to their similarity to us but I can't back that up. Might be good to give a call to (place) in Midena, they could offer more information " he said sounding apologetic as the assistant returned and gave the okay. " Stay here we'll bring her back here after the scan" he assured as he started to help move Melody to the other room.
Mara looked over at Melody and tried to smile but it was forced. "Just a scan, not painful at all and they will bring you back here" she tried to offer at least some assurance.
Ametrine nodded quietly moving back to the corner but staring at Mara intently. "She won't leave..even if I wish she would " he responded bitterly.

//...he's still around.// he interrupted her words about him being dead. //I'm having a hard time believing that the similarity in Hexxis' death and Ashral's death isn't coincidental... He probably-... I just wouldn't put it past him...// he spoke coldly.
//He's here. He was asking about Melody being adopted by Tri as well.//
Melody had appeared to calm down when Leukos stopped talking to those that weren't there. Trying to focus on what was happening, her breathing had at least slowed to an almost normal pace but it was obvious she was still in pain. "...twin links..?" she repeat, suddenly trying to sit up. "Is Hexxis in danger? We have to find her.. What if Kylar-.."
Leukos moved to her quickly, grabbing her hand into his and gently pushing her back down. "It's fine, Melody. We'll look into it, you just need to focus on yourself and get better. Okay?" he offered with a half smile, trying to reassure her as well.
Melody laid back, frowning and looked worried. She nodded at Mara, an expression of nervousness as she looked to Leukos and back to Mara.
