Corsten stood up from his little abode and gave a shake of his pelt to dislodge the dust that had collect while he was stagnant and looked around with curious eyes. Giving a small yawn he figured he'd head towards one of the local water joints and get himself something to drink.
As he grew near the place seemed pretty dead from the looks of it. Wasn't there anyone else around besides himself? Giving a shrug of his shoulders he approached the water and dipped his head to drink. Maybe he'd find someone to talk to while he was out walking.
Finishing quenching his thirst he gave a brief look around and then headed towards the west. It seemed like a nice place to travel.

The night had been a short one, he'd spent it with his beloved, Naveen and couldn't have asked for anything much better than that. As he headed towards the watering hole that he and his mate had become accustomed to visiting he spied a new individual, though any individual would be a new one at this point as up until that moment they were entirely alone.
"Hello there." He called out, a little unsure of himself in the situation, but deciding to take the brave and high road he looked to make friends instead of react with suspicion. He paused his steps waiting for the stranger to approach him.

It would seem though, that just like that a white male came out of nowhere almost and the dark male brightened right up. Finally someone to talk to! Besides himself anyway. "Hello!" He called back to him in greeting, his tail wagging happily behind him. "You have no idea how good it is to see someone else." He said with a chuckle as he grew closer and paused a bit away. He didn't really know if the guy was friendly after all and he also didn't want to spook him if he was too nervous.

Adolfos tail began to wag in return - lucky he was friendly. The pale wild dog had almost sighed in relief, but was able to control himself, all he could think of was the cherished partner he had nearby, not that he'd let on to that immediately if he could avoid it.
"I'd imagine - it gets quite lonely walking this area." He gave a warm, inviting smile to match the others grin. "What brings you to these parts?" He offered the question, realizing the answer would likely be 'just passing through' and yet he still felt compelled to know. Was there an outside force making the wild dog pass through.. was there a possible pack? The thought nearly made Adolfo vibrate with excitement, but he forced himself to relax.
"Do you have a home nearby?"

He couldn't help but let out a bit of a light chuckle, at least he wasn't alone in mutual thoughts on things. "At least you know what I'm talking about." He said glad to hear that the male seemed familiar with the whole, being on one's own bit. It was honestly a lot harder that it sounded to find others that just got bored while out on these sorts of things."I'm just doing the whole, 'Let's go out on my own and find myself' bit. What about you?" He asked him in return. When questioned about a living location he shook his head. He wouldn't exactly call the place a home, it was more of a temporary place. "It's just a makeshift den really. Do you have a place nearby?" Perhaps he was trespassing?

The answers, though exciting to possible new members to the wide open rogue lands, hadn't been the answers that Adolfo wanted to hear at that exact moment. He had truly believed, briefly, that fate was answering some form of thoughts and even hopes that he shared with his mate. The disappointment was noticeable, but only for a brief moment. "I should have figured, we're in the same predicament, though I believe that we've found ourselves quite nicely." The smile he wore now was proud. That pride hadn't blinded him from the reality that he had just admitted there was more than just him here. Reality hit him moments after, but it was truly to late by then. "We have a den nearby too." He admitted in a defeated sort of way. What kind of protector was he?

He could see his answer wasn't exactly what the male was looking for and he sorta knew how that felt. It would appear the male was hoping to find a place that had more than just one other around. Meaning his solo act wasn't exactly that exciting. Stoic wanted to find himself a pack to join eventually as well, but he figured he could at least spread his 'wings' a bit first before doing that. Sow his wild oats so to speak. Though, something the male had said puzzled him. Looking around he didn't see anyone else and then figured he asked but was stopped short when there was a mention of a Den. Ah, he had a companion with him, but it didn't seem that they were anywhere present. At least not at the moment. "Oh that's very nice. I'm sorry I couldn't be of much more help for you though." He said feeling a little let down at the fact that he couldn't do much for him and his companion. "I do believe there are a few packs that way though." He had heard of a few at least from others he knew that had gone on a few outings. Perhaps that bit of information would help them out. "Maybe I could travel with you guys? If it's not a bother. I don't want to impose." He said.

Adolfo suddenly realized he had dragged the conversation down a peg at the look on the others face matching his own disappointment. To have set expectations on a complete stranger was entirely unfair of him. "Sorry about that. I hadn't intended for us to become so down about the whole thing. You know what it's like to be on your own, it's a lonely life." He was stating fact - even with Naveen. whom he could never get tired of, would likely grow bored of him or vice versa and need the company of another friend. Or at least have another dog to bounce ideas off of.
"No need to apologize - Naveen and I would be happy to have you along. Especially considering you're our best lead to date!" He was excited again and decided to let it all out as to why. "Naveen is my mate, we've been holed up here for quite a number of moons, mostly hanging around in the water, but for the most part we've talked about settling down." He stopped himself as quick as he could before he steam rolled his new companion with information.
"So that is why we are looking for a pack."

Despite how gloomy the topic was it seemed to turn around quick enough, which was nice. Tail swayed back and forth lightly and he gave the male a smile and then realized that he had never introduced himself and visa versa. It was insane how quickly one could get lost in a conversation without even knowing to whom they were talking to. He did get a bit of info about himself and his mate though.
Funny how that works.
"I'd be pleased to join the two of you."
He couldn't help but think that was a wonderful reason to find a pack to settle down with. More dogs meant more security for when pups were born. "I think that's a pretty smart move." He said with a small nod of his head. "I'm Corsten." He said finally getting around to introducing himself.
"Should we go introduce me to your mate?" He suggested to him. Figured it would be best to let his other half know there were now three to their party so she could let her feelings be known about it.

"Oh my, if Naveen were here she'd have given me a good stern look at having forgotten to introduce myself." He grinned in embarrassment at the sudden reality. "My name is Adolfo - as you could probably have guessed, Naveen is my mate and you're right we should go to meet her so you two can become acquainted."
Adolfo enjoyed the company of a male, it was a nice change of pace - he'd never give up time from Naveen for it, but should it ever happen he'd happily spend some time with a guy - guytime so to speak. "Come along then, let's go and meet up with her - give her the good news."
Adolfo lead the male back to his den - still nervous about having met someone new, but he couldn't be nervous forever.
