Jacinth was wandering around the pride on the same paths and through the same grasses she had since she was a pup, now into her juvenile stages of life she found the same old to be boring and needed some excitement, rumor had it that there had been another litter - how old they were she had't the foggiest, but she needed to seek them out and find a friend. She had felt like friends were few and far between, yet if she had tried earlier it was quite possible she'd have found others.

"May I go out?" Adolfo had posed the question with little questioning and more of a statement. He was seated before his parent and basically ready to leave the den as soon as he was given permission. Fortunately he didn't have to wait long and was given the chance to leave and earlier than usually! His juvenile body was rumbling with excitement as he bolted from the den and directly into something. "Oof!" Adolfo proclaimed as he tumbled backward and the other body tumbled away from him.

"Excuse me." He grumbled, groaning as he righted himself and watched as an entirely orange pelted wild dog did the same. "Me too." She returned an apologetic smile mirrored his own. Once they had themselves in a better place he realized that they were roughly the same age, something that was sort of a big deal in the pride. "What's your name?" He asked, the excitement creeping into his tone as he spoke. Jacinth was simply baffled by the sudden run in by her newest companion. She was quick to dust herself off a touch more before finally entertaining his question.

"Jacinth, you?" Her ears moved forward and she tilted her head a touch. "Mine's Adolfo." He gave a friendly smile, that excitement growing once more. "Did you want to play a game?" He inquired.

"Let's play..." The pale youth stopped to think about this a little. The largest problems in their young lives was when the next meal would be and what they could do in between. Nothing else really mattered to him, not now, this was abundantly clear when the orange youth had made it clear she agreed to play a game. "What about hide and seek?" He offered. Sure, being just the two of them it could possibly get boring fast, but alas the options were few and far between.

"I'll hide first, you have to find me!"

He didn't hesitate to bolt away, nothing but names between them in the hopes that his choice would be well received. He scurried along, finding a worn path and soon a bunch of bushes that appeared even a touch welcoming, how perfect! He didn't know that perhaps that would be easy to spy and so he didn't think to look much further - adding in that his pelt was pale as could be he stuck out a ridiculous amount among the greens and browns.

"I'm ready!"

His yell out was habit, he hoped she wouldn't find him right away.

Hide and seek? Jacinth was reminded in her short life that she enjoyed nothing more than a chance to seek others out. This was her moment to shine! "Of course I'll play Hide and Seek!" He was a dog after her own heart it seemed. It was only moments after her acceptance that she watched his dawdle off to find a hiding sot, soon as he was a couple paw steps away she lowered her head and closed her eyes, raising a paw to cover them - just in case she had considered cheating of her own accord.

It seemed cheating wasn't necessary. He called out from his hiding place and soon she was on the prowl. That prowling took little to no time at all and she had to try her hardest not to laugh out loud. There, before her path that she had chosen at random, at a fork she spied a pile of bushes that just couldn't see to keep still and had a young giggle that whispered it's way to her standing ears. On top of all that she spied a tail waggling beside it and a pale pelt - there was no escaping the fact that this young dog wasn't incredibly talented in the way of this particular game. So she played along.

"Oh, I wonder where Adolfo has hidden?" Her paws dragged across the ground in a slow, dramatic, crawl of a walk. "Hm, I wonder if he is behind this bush?" A soft 'no' came from the bush that made it impossible to ignore and so she approached the bush, dropped her rump and pushed it aside. "Found you!" She cried out and soon as he was done his groaning she was off to hide - not in plain sight this time though. She found a nice collection of trees with a log, not much further than those bushes, but in the opposite direction and hid within that log. Jacinth would prove she is the champion.

"Nuts." He groaned out loud after being found so easily and by a girl if there were any males around to do so he'd likely been mocked for sometime before he was able to begin the hunt in return. Once she was a distance away he closed his own eyes tight, dropping his rump in the mean time and counting softly to himself. There was no call out from his companion, the smarter way to go it would seem, he hadn't the foggiest where she might be.

"Maybe we should pick where we don't go next time or create some rules." He grumbled to himself, sill a bit sore about the way the game had started off - he was in some luck though, something he hadn't anticipated. An adult was muttering about witnessing a young orange dog scampering about not far ahead, what the adults didn't know were that he was the one seeking her out - or at least they kept a decently straight view of the world so many more paws above him. With that little bit of cheating up his sleeve he sought out the wriggling little body of an excited wild dog that had been far to enthusiastic about her hiding abilities.

In all fairness she had chosen a fantastic spot, one that he'd not have thought to look at had he not been given the tips, though accidental as they were. He stalked the log - it was covered in a mossy texture and smelled of mildew. The log was surrounded by grass and trees, both short/tall and small/large. The spot was incredibly ideal, he couldn't argue that fact. Adolfo circled the log, finally finding an opening that allowed him to tap her back.

"Gotcha!" He bellowed and gave a smack to the open space that revealed her bright orange back. He heard a cry and then laughter as she scooted from the log that held her so well. The game was ending to quickly in her mind, not giving her enough time to really find a great place, versus this place. Though she thought it had been pretty decent, but clearly she underestimated her newest partner in crime.

"Fine, fine.. I think I should head home though." She admitted, looking to the sky. It was darkening up fiercely and she wasn't to keen on being out during a storm. "Me too." He said with a grin.

"Let's play again some other time, hopefully there will be others next time!"

Then the pair went their own separate ways to find shelter for the impending storm.
