__________ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The moment your created character is approved, they are dropped into Radiant Dawn's version of the One Piece world. This world is made up of a multitude of area, most of which your created character can now claim for themselves. You can determine if a thread is able to be claimed by reading its first post. Shops, Forging Pots, Checkpoints, and Money-making areas will never be able to be claimed.

When attempting to take control of an area, there is a set word requirement that must be met. This requirement may be split up between different posts and/or characters. However, the longer it takes to seize control of an area, the more you risk having another person snatch it away. While it is no easy task, another character may attempt to steal away a territory before you claim it for yourself. This is done by creating a post meeting the words you and any allies have already written. Fortunately, you may combat this by physically fighting and having the winner walk away with the territory. Any time a battle is begun to determine the controller of a territory, the remaining word count does not matter. The winner of the fight is now the one who controls the territory.

Example: Person A can type out 300 words towards taking control of a thread. Person B, an ally of the former, types out their own 500 words towards taking the same territory. Since the two people aiming to take this thread are allied, they have a total of 800 words put towards the requirement to take the territory. Person C is an enemy of both the previous two people and wishes to also claim this territory for himself. Instead of meeting the word requirement for the initial claim, he must write out 800 words in order to meet the words written by Person A and B. Afterward, he must still battle and win in order to take the unclaimed territory away from the two who were already there. No matter who wins the battle, the remaining words do not have to be accounted for, as the fight determines the new owner.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A territory is considered unclaimed when there is nobody in control of it. As long as the first post of a thread indicates that there is no owner and nobody is updating for it, then you may attempt to seize control through this portion of the system. A total of 2,000 words is needed to take control of the territory. These words can be split between posts and/or allied characters. After reaching the required number of words, one of the people involved in the takeover must make an update within the "Point Spending Updates" thread. Unless otherwise specified, the person who makes this update is also the person who will be considered the primary controller of the territory. This person's name, as well as their crew, will be placed in the first post of the thread in order to further signify them as the primary controller.

A territory is considered claimed when there is a RPC in control of it. Taking a territory that is already claimed functions a bit different than taking one that is not. Anyone attempting to seize control from another RPC must first write 2,000 words and quote the primary controller. This is to give the controller of the territory a chance to return to their territory and stop the assailants. However, the primary controller may only respond if they have a Den Den Mushi. If they do not, then the person(s) attempting to take away the territory may simply post 500 more words and claim the territory for themselves. Afterward, one of the people involved in the takeover must make an update within the "Point Spending Updates" thread. Unless otherwise specified, the person who makes this update is also the person who will be considered the new primary controller of the territory. This person's name, as well as their crew, will be placed in the first post of the thread in order to further signify them as the new primary controller.

If the primary controller does have a Den Den Mushi, they have [24] hours to make it to their territory and defend it. If they succeed in the defense, then nothing is gained nor lost. Any attackers must wait an entire week before attempting to attack this territory again. Should the attacks defeat the primary controller's defense, then they may continue as if they have succeeded in taking the territory.

    All factions may claim territories.

All factions may liberate claimed territories and any words used for liberation may also be used for word count experience. However, nobody may attempt to claim a territory they have just liberated. You must wait until the next week to claim any territory liberated by yourself.

In order to liberate a territory, you act as if you are taking control of a claimed territory. However, when making the update, you state that you want the thread to remain unclaimed.

𝖯𝗋𝗂𝗆𝖺𝗋𝗒 𝖢𝗈𝗇𝗍𝗋𝗈𝗅
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Unless specified, the person who placed the update for territory control will be the one deemed that territory's "Primary Controller." This title gives its owner maximum control over their territory and, In the event a crew disbands or splits, all territory will always stay under their primary controller's command. This title can be given to another person through an update in the "Point Spending Updates" thread. When updating to be a primary controller of a thread, you must post a link to the character's profile in the Character Creation Sub-forum. The moderator who approves of your claim will place a new section labelled Territory in the same post as approved custom items and techniques. This new section will list all of your claimed territory and, if applicable, the crew you have claimed them for.

When the primary controller dies, the territory will be left without a ruler, fall, and become unclaimed once more.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
While taking territories is nice, one must also strive to keep the ones they already own. Territories come with a slew of benefits that will disappear the moment you lose the land:

Information is given to the primary controller. While not everything will be logged or taken note of, the primary controller will be made aware of any fights, major transactions, or large gatherings that occur within their land. Intimate details are not able to be gained in this manner. The primary controller will only learn of the bare minimum and anything that makes any of these events stand out (pirate flags, scarring, etc.).

Controlling all claimable threads within a single sub-forum causes the primary controller and their crew to receive a 25% discount on all items in the stores of that sub-forum. This discount is increased to 50% if the sub-forum is within the Grand Line. The total word count needed to take over these threads is increased to 3,500 and, as long as they are not the ones who completed the destruction, pirates may now use the Reconstruction system to fix their own territory and gain experience. No beli is gained through a pirate's reconstruction.

Territories give weekly stats. Every Sunday, the primary controller and the entirety of their crew will gain 6 stats per normal area and 12 stats per Kingdom under their control. These stats are not gained when a territory is first taken. It is only claimable on or after the next Sunday.

A bounty increase is given to each person responsible for the takeover of an area. Normal areas add 5 million beli, while Kingdoms will add 10 million. This amount will always be evenly split among each participant. Only Pirates gain this bounty.

Owning a Kingdom is more valuable than owning a regular area. In the Blues, a Kingdom's ruler gains 25,000 Beli for the first week owned. The amount of Beli increases by 25,000 each following week and maxes out at 100,000 Beli per week. In the Grand Line, a Kingdom's ruler starts out gaining 50,000 Beli for the first week owned. This amount of Beli also increases by 25,000 each following week, but maxes out at 150,000 Beli per week. Unfortunately, this money is held within the Kingdom itself and must be picked up by the ruler in order for it to be claimed. The primary controller of the Kingdom and the captain of their crew are the only people who may legally claim the beli, but any future raiders may forcefully take this beli on top of what they would normally make. Marines do not gain this benefit.

Destroyed territory will no longer offer its full benefits. Shop discounts and the total word count increases are completely lost once a single area in the sub-forum is destroyed. Kingdoms will no longer have their beli amount increase if they are destroyed, nor will the primary controller be able to claim any beli until it is reconstructed.

This topic will teach you everything you need to know about liberating areas in this One Piece Guild. Liberation is the process in which RPC Marines, Mercenaries, and/or Loners in the guild remove a group of NPCs or an individual RPC from power in almost any desired location. Simply put, the member creates a story arc in which he or she has their character enter a location and dismantle the present regime, thus freeing the area from tyranny and oppression. This grants beli and experience should you be successful.

Lıвeяαтe

In order to liberate a territory already under control of another individual or group, more effort is required. It may be liberated by an individual or group by typing 2,500 words as indicated above. The individual or group is allowed to write up to 2,000 words before they must PM a moderator, informing them of their attempt to seize it. They must then leave an in-game message for the controller to see, by quoting them in a post. The current controller must have a Den Den Mushi in order to respond to the summons. If they do not own one, the 2,500 words may be written without notifying anyone. If they do own a Den Den Mushi, they will be alerted of the attempt. At that point they have two options...

    • The controller may stay where they are, allowing whomever is attempting to take over the territory to do so without issue.

    • The controller may head to the territory in question (post at every docking area on the way back) If the controller is within [4] rows away from the territory, they will make it in time and prevent the liberation. If they are further away, the liberator may finish their required words before the controller arrives. Being further away, however, does not prevent them from arriving, they simply arrive late.

The controller must respond immediately to a liberation. Once they receive the PM and in-character message, they are not allowed to dawdle, they must make a decision immediately and either opt to stay or head to the territory. If they make the decision to travel to the territory and are within [4] rows, the Liberator may not complete their liberation until defeating the owner in combat or having the rights to the territory turned over.

    Nøямαł Aяeαš

All parties involved generate a number from 25-50 and multiply the outcome by 1,000 to determine the amount of Beli gained for their troubles. Each participant also receives 6 stats.

    Kıиgđøмš

All parties involved generate a number from 50-75 and multiply the outcome by 1,000 to determine the amount of Beli gained for your troubles. Each participant also receives 12 stats.

  • You may not liberate while doing events.

  • Liberation does not grant the member ownership rights.

  • Everyone involved in a single liberation campaign must label their posts as such. Treat it similarly to a row event, with each successive person tacking on their word count to the last person's until the required amount has been met. So, when liberating Gyasta, if person A types 300 words and person B types 500, their post labels should look like this;

Person A: Liberation of Gyasta [300/2,500]
Person B: Liberation of Gyasta [800/2,500]
