Name: Aroontwa Age: 15 Sex: Male Sexual Orientation: Flexibly straight Craft: Glasscraft Rank: Apprentice Location: Ista Hold (eventually Western Weyr) Physical Description: Huge hulking man six feet three inches tall, broad shouldered, ash blond hair and hazel eyes, strong Personality: Aroontwa is a large man with a resting face that can scare a small child. Of he didn’t talk, then people would assume that he is angry. Thankfully he talks, and often, at length, about anything exciting. He does not just get excited, he gets ebullient and basically exudes enthusiasm and high spirits. He is also pretty flexible and easy going in his opinions, willing to listen and be persuaded as well as a little easily influenced by others. But he is free from concerns and worry, rarely gets anxious about things, and is generally carefree about most anything.
At times he is a rather absentminded, thinking and being excited more than being aware of the surroundings and his actions. Thankfully, he hasn’t hurt anyone yet. But it can be disconcerting to have a giant bouncing male waving his hands around and generally acting like a small child at the drop of a hat. He is really, really easily excited, about almost anything and will be uncritically enthusiastic about people or things. He is excited for others when they receive something, and to the extreme. He is often perplexing to others, and doesn’t really understand why. It makes him sad when others shy away from him or whisper about him. He will forgive and forget just as easily as being excited, which can be a bad thing in that he gets hurt over and over again sometimes.
History: Aroontwa’s parents are subdued individuals and didn’t know how to handle an over excitable child. They did the best they could, and encouraged him in his pursuits...of well everything… and when he finally circled back to glasswork around the time to become apprenticed they pounced on it and sent him off to the Glasscraft hall that was thankfully within the hold he was born in. There he was looked upon with scorn at his excitement until he proved to be very adept with glass blowing and have gentle hands when needed. His excitable nature caused exasperation in the masters and he often asked questions at inappropriate times.
Though he got along well with everyone it seemed, he didn’t make many true friends. He was considered strange, and girly despite his appearance, and while others were fine with having him around, only three really sought him out. The girly part came from his mannerisms reminding the boys of an eager little girl. He would wave his hands about and jump up and down as well as squeal. But Aroontwa was happy anyway.
Then thread came back. The terror and fear that so many felt affected Aroontwa, who spent the time after thread helping those that were injured to adapt and learn their new lives. One person that he was determined to help was his friend who was injured. His friend would never be able to be a glass worker now. She was in constant pain and bed bound now. While keeping up with his studies, he spent most of his free time visiting his friend and those others that were bed bound, reading stories, delivering meals, and generally trying to make life better for those that were the worst hit. THe teasing also abated as he had proven himself capable of keeping a level head in the crisis of threadfall even. He was excitable, but did not panic.
Other: After being searched, he is going to Western Weyr
Candidate Specific Questions Do you want them to have an official Search RP? Yes Do you understand they will age every passing year regardless if you're there to RP the or not? Yes Do you want them to have a possible Stands Impression? No - - - > Please keep in mind that Stands Impressions are very rare. This means that not everybody will get an opportunity to have a surprise Impression, and you lower your chances of being picked by a dragonet. Given the character is not ICly an official Candidate, they will need a reason to be at the Weyr of their choice long-term, or at least for every Hatching.

Really close to being approved.
You mention he's in Ista- - is that Ista Hold? Just clarifying since there's both an Ista Hold and an Ista Weyr. Also, in his history, where was he born? Was it Ista Hold or somewhere else on Pern? When he was snet to the glasscraft was that far away from home or was it close by? Did that affect him at all in his studies?
You mention he was considered girly in the Hall, but why would that be? Does he act feminine in any fashion? I don't see why he'd be made fun of in that way unless he had traits that were more traditionally feminine. Going into a bit more detail there might be good just so there's a reason on why he's getting picked on. Is it just a particular group or most of his apprentice peers?
His personality is very excitable. Did this get him in trouble during his time at the Glasscraft or with any of the masters?
Additionally, do his three friends defend him from such attacks or does it lessen any with age and experience at the Hall?
Also, when Thread came back, did it affect his family in any fashion? Did he lose any of his friends or loved ones or were they safe?
I think just rounding his history out a bit would be good, since that can tie in with his personality as well as influence it. Otherwise I think he'll be in a good spot to go!
