Once again her mothers were meeting with the elders. This time, however, Tyiva wasn’t so disappointed with the idea of waiting on Chibale. Instead the young Alkidike found herself roaming the shores as if searching for something…or in this case someone. Would the young mystic be around once more? “What if she is focused on her studies?” Strangely enough the question made the Alkidike feel disappointed. It would have been nice to run into the little one again.
Rather than waste time while waiting Tyiva instead opted to bring out the pair of blades gifted to her and began to sharpen them.

As a group of Alkidike warriors walked past, Danika paused from her studies. Tilting her head thoughtfully the youngling slowly lowered her writing stick towards the ground. That one warrior with the bow and arrows…she recognized those markings! A rare smile of pure excitement lit up the girl’s features as she stood from the ground. If that sister was here, then perhaps so was her daughter?
Such a thought prompted Danika to leave Aisha’s side so that she could walk along the beaches. When she finally spotted the lone figure sitting there on the shore, Danika let out a laugh and ran forward, “Ty!”

Tyiva had been so focused on her blades that the appearance of a youngling took her by surprise, “Lady Danika?” Tossing her swords aside quickly the Alkidike braced herself for impact. As she fell backwards with the youngling in her arms the apprentice smiled, “It is good to see you as well.”
Holding the little one in her arms Tyiva had to pause. How often would a young mystic get affection? Let alone how rare would such a moment be in her future? It prompted the warrior in training to actually allow the girl to stay in her lap as they sat along the shore, “It seems that you are still full of energy.” She teased lightly as she glanced down at the youngling.

Danika stayed on Tyiva’s lap happily. It was a rare thing for the child and she was enjoying it, “Yep!” She replied to the teasing with a grin, “I gotta! If not how can I have any fun?” She pursed her lips out in a pout, “I’d fall asleep all the time…” After all those lessons did drain her! The little one had been going from early morning and was determined to use all of her free time for fun! Even if it meant she didn’t sleep as much as others.
“So what do?” She found herself asking Tyiva, “Did you come to play?” Danika [2/10]

“Oh, I see.” Tyiva grinned as she resisted the urge to ruffle the young mystic’s hair. Even if she was okay showing some affection there was no telling if someone else came along. The last thing she wanted was to cause trouble! So as Danika scooted off of her lap, Tyiva found herself pulling up from the ground. “Do you want to play?”
Tyiva looked around thoughtfully, “Did you want to build more figures or something else?” She didn’t know much about what younglings did for fun. As one herself she was too busy trailing after her mothers and trying to learn all about the warrior’s path. That and crafting and cooking…other than that she had never been one to truly ‘play’. I suppose I’m not the best playmate for Danika to pick.
Still if she could help keep the young mystic happy then that was plenty for the apprentice. Tyiva [3/10]

Danika tilted her head thoughtfully. What could they do? As Tyiva watched her the youngling paced the beach before stopping as the waters touched her feet. She had seen some younglings playing the other day around here – of course she had studies so she wasn’t allowed to join in – but the memory was still there. It had seemed rather fun, “Ty…close your eyes!”
That stated she began to walk towards the waters with her hands stretched out before her. Danika [3/10]

“Close my eyes?” The Alkidike questioned the younger one with a raised brow. What in the world was this child thinking of doing? It was rare for Tyiva to trust anyone’s commands other than her mothers, but the Alkidike slowly turned on her heel and closed her eyes, “I’ll give you twenty breaths, Danika.”
Standing there Tyiva felt like it was forever. Though her antenna twitched as she sensed movement on the sands behind her. What was this child thinking? Frowning the apprentice focused solely on trying to figure out the puzzle when she was suddenly splashed with something cool and wet, “Oh!” Tyiva [4/10]

Carrying her ‘water bomb’ the youngling nearly stumbled on the sands. No, no! She had Tyiva even waiting on her so Danika was even more determined. With a mischievous grin the youngling finally got close enough to toss the water. Seeing Tyiva jump at the contact made her grin, “Got ya!” Oh so this was why the younglings had so much fun! It was exciting and funny all at the same time to surprise others like this!
Oh, but was she in trouble!
Danika squeed before darting around the beach with the apprentice trailing after her. Danika [4/10]

Oh! Tyiva felt flustered, but she found herself running after the young mystic. “Hey, if you start something it’s only fair to stand until the end!” She called out as she scooped up water as well. Thankful that no one seemed to be around the apprentice threw some water towards the youngling with a grin. So this was what ‘playing’ entailed? It was almost like training. Didn’t you have to be quick in order to avoid the water and then toss more of your own?
Everything somehow always turned into training for Tyiva, but at least this time she was having a lot of fun. It was exciting to run through the shallow waters while also making certain to slow down at times to give the little one a chance. Even in play Tyiva was ever careful of the one she was playing with. But surely splashing her with some water wouldn’t hurt, would it? Tyiva [5/10]

Danika squeaked as the water hit her. Oh! “Otay!” She grinned towards the apprentice, “Fight!” Reaching down she brought up another handful of water to splash towards the other Alkidike. It was actually a lot of fun! Especially since Tyiva was playing along with her. It made Danika super happy to be able to not worry about appearances and studies for once. It was nice being able to just playfully splash water back and forth like this.
It was so much fun that she didn’t want it to end – even if she got soaking wet! Danika [5/10]

”There we go.” Smiling in pride at the braveness of the young mystic who stood tall even in a water fight, Tyiva found herself sending a return splash towards the youngling. Even if it was just play there was an obvious spirit of a warrior within her. I hope she keeps this courage forever. They would need that in their leader. Honestly the more Tyiva spent time with the youngling she felt her respect for the other Alkidike growing. She wasn’t some cold far away figure, but rather a younger sister full of life.
Perhaps a bit too much life for me.
Laughing, Tyiva found herself slipping in the waters – something which allowed Danika to throw a series of splashes directly at her face. “He-hey!” Shaking her head, her dreads sending water everywhere, Tyiva looked towards the youngling, “How is it that you have so much more energy than me?” She teased lightly as she sat there and allowed the waters to roll over her lower body. Sending up a wave to attack Tyiva with, Danika giggled. “Cause I can!” She replied childishly before finally stopping her splashes so that she could try to sit next to Tyiva in the waters. It just felt so nice to let the cool waters roll over her warm body. Honestly since her near accident months ago, Danika had been too afraid to go out this far by herself. With Tyiva here, however, she felt safe enough to do lots of things! Which of course included playing in the deeper waters like this.
After sitting in silence for a good few moments, Danika glanced towards Tyiva. “Thank you for playin’ with me today again.” She offered with a small smile, “It was fun.” Her antenna flicked as if in agreement while the youngling moved a hand through the waters. Soon enough she would have to give up play again so that she could focus on her studies and being a more serious mystic figure. The thought made Danika scrunch up her nose. Was it truly already almost over? Danika [6/10]

Relaxing in the waters the apprentice watched as the youngling floated there. It may have seemed that Tyiva was completely at ease, but in truth her body was perfectly poised for diving. She was prepared just in case something happened to send the youngling under the waters. Not that it was too deep here, but who knew if the waters would suddenly change? Her gaze stared upwards warily. Were those dark clouds on the horizon? If a storm comes then I will surely escort her all the way home.
Her thoughts, however, were interrupted by the sudden thanks. Blinking in surprise Tyiva glanced over at the youngling before slowly smiling, ”It’s not a problem. I’m glad to play with you at any time, Danika.” She nodded her head, “How else am I to pass time while my mothers are away meeting with the elders?” Tyiva [7/10]

”True.” Danika grinned as she floated towards Tyiva and latched onto her arm, “What now? I won so this game is over.” She teased lightly as she glanced around. Was the meeting over yet? Danika pursed her lips thoughtfully. Should they head back to the shore? Honestly her body was beginning to feel a bit heavy after all that running around. It seemed that finally her energy was ending as she let a yawn slip.
“Whoops.” Flushing lightly the youngling tugged at Tyiva’s arms, “You’re tired? Then let’s go back.” She blinked innocently towards the older Alkidike before tugging once more towards the shore. Danika [7/10]

Me tired? Tyiva almost protested before realization hit her. “Ah, yes.” She lied with a faint nod, “ I suppose I could do with some rest since you defeated me.” She smiled faintly before helping the youngling to her feet in the shallow waters. Holding tightly onto Danika’s hand Tyiva carefully helped the youngling to follow her back towards the shore. The last thing she wanted after all was for the young mystic to slip and harm herself.
As they moved out of the waters and onto the sands, Tyiva glanced down. “Where to?” She questioned before wiping extra water from her body. As she did that the apprentice also walked over to pick up her blades which she slipped back into their sheaths at her sides.
