It was like any other light, winter snow. It was chilly and clouds hung in the sky but if you looked up you could swear you could still see the stars. The snow falls gently and coats the ground in a light layer--but these aren't normal snowflakes. Mixed in with the regular snow, crystalized snowflakes seem to be falling. These are roughly the size of a quarter and are light and hollow. They are fragile, like glass, but glisten like a fine cut gem. No one can explain this anomaly, but these small snowflakes won't melt. And they are all over Destiny City. You can find them gently falling to the ground, or lying in the fresh fallen snow. They don't seem evil--but they do make for some cute keepsakes!

Lavender had pretty much been MIA from every sort of scene that she had been a part of. She had really let her life go by the wayside and wasn’t caring all that much about it if she was honest with herself. She had so many…’duties’, but they all felt like a monumental waste of time to her. What was really the point to any of them? She was lonely, and this not having people to talk to or hang out with wasn’t helping her loneliness to heal any. And the worst part of all of this was she was a goddamn twin! She was always supposed to have had her brother there for her, right?

But stupid Levi was always busy with his own things…and she just…wasn’t.
Ever since reaching that happy age where she was legally allowed to buy booze…it seemed like all she did was buy booze. And drink. She was becoming an alcoholic mermaid, and she wasn’t letting anyone know about it either. It was really none of their business. It was her body, was it not? Besides, a few shots of tequila and she forgot how lonely she was, it was a great trade off.

Sadly though, two solid months of drinking had left her wallet empty and crying…and of course she hadn’t had a job since September, so that was an issue too. Not that she even had any confidence in herself to get a job in her condition. Her hair was unkempt and needed a good trip to the salon, and she had such a tired, haggard look about her. She stood now, outside a nice looking shop, surveying herself in the window, and not liking what she saw…maybe today wasn’t going to be the day she got a job…not looking like this, at any rate.

She took a step back from the shop window and rested her palm against the cold glass, sighing and fogging up the area that was in front of her. Well. s**t. Now what was she supposed to do? Should she just go home…get drunk and forget today ever happened?

Carefully, Lavender looked at her reflection, and then abruptly turned away, balling her hands into fists. What the ******** had happened to her? How could she have let herself get this bad off? How could she have fallen so far…? How could—ouch!

Something hit the girl on the head and she looked up, wondering if it had been a rock that some awful person had tossed off of the rooftop, but, there was nobody in sight. She glanced at the ground, hoping to find a rock or something…but instead…there was a…snowflake? A big snowflake.
Lavender picked it up and held it in her palm, waiting for the thing to start to melt…but it didn’t seem to want to. How…how odd.

She held the piece of snow…or…or ice? Glass? Whatever it was, she closed her hand around it and slipped it into her pocket. Winter was supposed to be her season, wasn’t it? Wasn’t…wasn’t she gifted with the power of…of blizzards for ******** sake? Maybe…maybe she should try and be a senshi again. Maybe if she would reach out to the other members in the Dark Mirror Court…well…maybe something good would come of it…or nothing would come of it and she would be no worse off than she was now right?

Maybe…

Possibly.

Well…that would be a task for tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. Today…she just wasn’t feeling it.
