Night had fallen on the tiny oceanic town. It's port was shut down for the night, the waves along the shoreline ever crashing against the beachfront. Moga Village was not all that complex in many ways. A simple place but one that had it's own typical problems. Namely, the strange earthquakes that came and the sudden rise in monster activity. No one knew what was causing them but there was a rumor that a very angry Lagiacrus was the cause.

So it was that the Hunter Guild had sent a good number of it's newest and finest to take the beast down. The plan was to lure it to the attached Deserted Island and then? Well. Hope for the best...

Needless to say, the hunters gathered at their temporary camp were left to prepare for the fight soon to take place. Here and there a few felyne went about, fetching and gathering supplies but for the most part, the monsters hunters were alone save for each other.
