Ashral frowned as they walked back from the Halloween Ball. This had not been the eperience she expected. Granted, she had anticipated hang ups, but having someone identify them was another. And even worse, Ree's cringe-worthy performance at trying to convince an entire crowd he wasn't Ree, asking her to lie, she honestly had just bolted. She wasn't equipped to deal with that. Luckily, it didn't seem like anyone was following. She was already beginning to limp slightly. "...i'm sorry... i'm not good at lying... I should have said something... " she sighed. "It was fortunate someone created a distraction. I just..." she paused, a pained look as she stared down at the ground while they walked.

Kylar followed after the pair, his footsteps silent as he stepped just above the street rather than on it. Silently he observed the pair, looking to gather information and possibly find a gap in their defenses. The only observations he had so far was Ree mumbling, perhaps a caution to not be overheard or maybe he was simply rambling about being upset. The malice however, she had a more noticeable flaw. Ashral was limping, if only slightly, perhaps if they were spooked again she would fall behind and be easier to pick off.

Kylar began moving toward the pair quickly, the hunt bringing about a special excitement. A realization ended the hunt as quickly as it began however, there were still much to close to the ball and possible backup with Hexxis and Tri not far off. Perhaps his whispers had been communication between them, some communication device hidden within his helmet.

Erring on the side of caution once more he fell back silently continuing to observe, at least for now. Knowing Ree, there would likely be an irresistible opportunity in the near future.

"That wouldn't be a problem, we could easily get a bag if you want. Almost any bag would do. It is the costumes that are the important part" he said quietly one hand raised to touch the helmet as if he was reaching for his own head and forgetting. He shook his head sharply for no reason before looking at her with deep sense of guilt.

"No, you're right let's just go. We can do this again next year" he said with only a hint of a smile. "For now lets just go, I'll fly" he offered, slowing as he watched her curiously.

Ashral nodded. "Next year.." she repeated, okay with the answer. She moved to him, r3aching up to wrap her arms around his neck for him to pick her up when she heard a voice of someone yelling. Whipping around to look, she already was moving, ready to summon her sword in immediate paranoia but hesitated. Refrained. Then relaxed. It was someone just asking for a picture. Taking a deep breath, she looked to Ree to see what he would do.

The running slowed to a fast walk as they turned to notice Kylar moving towards them. He watched the malice tense as if prepared for conflict before relaxing in the archangels grasp. A twinge of annoyance crossed his face briefly before he regained his composure and spoke up, "That's rude, I just wanted a picture with Ree Luz, the man who killed [Criel]." He stopped moving towards them after saying that and added. "You're my hero, fighting against the corrupt government so openly. My brother would have flipped out if he saw I got a picture with you. Are you sure you can't spare just a single picture for a fan?"

It was a quick change of tactic and a dangerous gamble, but he held the phone out to him without approaching and spoke, "Please? It would mean so much."

The tension in his body increased as he snapped his head up staring intently under his helmet as he stared at the man silently. He stopped himself...just barely, as the well dress man continued to talk about his brother and how they were a fan. He stared to long at the meta and at the hand that held out the phone as the words brought out a more moral conflict to mind than he would have thought. //trouble makers// //opinionated// //who called us out in the ball// //man's voice// // followed?// //danger// //don't think to much// //have to // //no, act // //act// //fans? We didn't kill him// //we have killed // //not him/ //not him//

Ree stared at the outstretched hand, the faint swirls of black tattoos barely visible under the cuff nudged at his memory but it wouldn't come. Saying nothing he scooped up Ashral and took wing , heading toward the more centralized area of the city.

Ashral gave a small noise of surprise as Ree scooped her up and took flight with her. She looked to Ree then to the man that pursued and faded out of view.

//What do we do. Kill him. I can't do that, I won't. Ree is in danger. But... Eliminate him. He's gone. Dissapeared. What now. There's no way to tell. What do we do. What does he want. Ree.//

She was beginning to panic as she tried to see where he went but couldnt. She slowly wrapped her arms around him, trying to stabilize herself to him.

Kylar followed the pair unaware that they had the ability to see him. The attack came as a surprise as something began pulling at him attempting to rip his head off. The force pressed upwards causing a great discomfort as he tried to resist the pressure reaching out towards the man responsible. He felt out with his power attempting to suppress the archangels control, but it had been a while since they last met and Ree had grown in strength allowing him to easily be overpowered.

Kylar, failing to prevent the attack began to fall to the ground as his head was ripped from his body. The experience wasn't deadly, but it was painful. Thank god for being a puppet or that might have been a bloody end once more. However, did Ree know he could move without his head? It was unlikely, so he let the body fall to the ground the head held up by the telekenisis as he waited to see how he would act while pretending to be dead, which wasn't hard to do without a head.
