"You see a mysterious kiokote lurking behind an old, moss-covered log..." Indeed, there is a kiokote lurking behind an old log, trying to look mysterious. A seemingly random assortment of pebbles, sticks, larger pebbles, and pieces of bark are carefully arranged on top of the log. There may also be... yes, a small fish, trying its best to flop away from this... madness. Unabashed, the kiokote doe continues to address no one in particular in a booming voice. "Come, traveller... I see a hidden power within you! I, Spice, the Master Wizard, can reveal its secret to you, if you dare!"

(how to play) Once a day, you can ask Spice to reveal unto you a 'magical power'! It's all nonsense-- Spice is a bit odd. But if you want to play along... Step 1: Roll 2d20 (two twenty-sided dice) and compare each result to the list below. 1. Black 2. Fire 3. Swirl 4. Fish 5. Smoke 6. Shining 7. Elder 8. Death 9. Thunder 10. Rainbow 11. Sparkle 12. Fang 13. Love 14. Slicing 15. Smell 16. Light 17. Water 18. Mystery 19. Ice 20. Spirit So if you rolled and 11 and a 3, you would get the magical power 'Sparkle Swirl'. Fancy! Step 2: Describe what your new power does! It's completely up to you. One sentence is fine, but more is great too! Spice is big on 'immersion', whatever that is. For your effort, Spice will reward you with a token, no matter what your power ended up being! Special rule: If you roll doubles, instead of a token you can contact Suishii (er, me) and recieve a (bad) sketch of your kin using their new (probably awful) power! 'Water Water' sounds great, right? You can only collect this once. If you roll doubles again any other time, Spice will take pity on you and just give you a token instead. Double special rule (which is funny because this one doesn't involve rolling doubles): Even if you don't roll doubles, I may pick out some entries I find good or funny and give some art anyway!

 Speak Up approached the buck carefully, following along with some others heading that way, and she listened to him giving 'powers' to others. There were some giggles, and some really enthusiastic responses. When it was her turn she stepped forward and spoke softly. "Can... you give me one too?" she waited hopefully only to blink a moment at being told 'Smell Slicing' and tried to think of what that could be and do. That was going to be tricky! Still she decided to give it her best try, and she started to swing her tail about wildly, as if she was cutting the air. This would work, right?

"Smoke Mystery," Jest says, contemplating how interesting that could be. "I'm supposing I poof and then reappear all the time, right? Only the mystery part is I have absolutely no freaking idea how or why I do it!" She chewed her lip and then pondered that a little. "That sounds like fun. I could get into a ton of mischief that way and no one would know it wa--. Ahem." She shakes herself and smirks. Too bad it wasn't real, ughhh.

"Sparkle Elder," said Traveler, musing over the combination of words with an expression of curiosity. He tossed his head a little, trying to determine what exactly being a sparkling elder entailed; but even if he couldn't quite get that, it still made him amused all the same.

 ( #58cee0 ) Roll: 4, 12 - Fish Fang (1 token) Flowerborn Dragon walks up to the kiokote and smiles, "I hear you can give magic powers. I'd like one please.""Fish Fang, huh? That sounds like it would be great for hunting!" Not really Flowerborn Dragon's thing, she's a bit too prissy for all that. But the market is all in good fun, so she plays along, running around the clearing in a sinuous way to imitate swimming and snapping her teeth at imaginary fish. Out of breath and grinning she accepts a token from the kin running the booth. "Thank you!" and heads off to see the rest of the market.

Frozen walked up to the booth, watching as the rest who came by did their thing. She wasn't sure what was going on, but curiosity got her too. "So you can give me powers huh? Or at least tell me what I have." Light Swirl? What in the swamp? Maybe she can do something with a stick that has some fire or a hole in it and twirl it around. That would make light look like it was swirling right? She was here for the fun and possible flirting.

Rainbow death? Lore blink, nose wrinkling in thought, how was that a power? Though it did seem rather powerful and frightening. She did like rainbows. "I smite my enemies with the power of pretty lights?" She hedged, unsure if she was doing this right.

"Magic powers, hmm?" Gentle Beauty smiled softly, curious what she'd be given.
Smell.. Sparkle? She thought of it a little bit, then grinned "I have a sense of smell so well tuned, I can catch the scent of the little sparkles of light on the water and in the air from the sun and moon."

"M-magical powers within me?" She asked back, not sure if the buck was messing with her or being serious. "Well.... my power is... " she trailed off. It was then that a fish came up for air in the pool of water beside her. "FISH! Right. Yes. I can make Fish Sparkle!" she shouted at him with excited eyes. "You know, just like this." Kiss of Death quickly slammed her hoof right onto the fish she saw seconds ago and watched it bolt and flop out of the water and into the air, and the water shimmered like stars in the frosty winter weather. Sea of Stars marvelled at the thought of his new ice smoke powers! To think, being able to turn the treacherously icy path to his little nookish home into a dry slip-proof trek in a puff of smoke would make his life SO much easier!
