 When both trolls are seated and the game's headset is in place, a large GameBro logo appears, and a warning page appears. The fine text scrolls past too fast to read and soon a character creation screen appears. Players can choose from a selection of medieval weapons; swords, shields, spears, bow and arrows, and plenty more. As soon as you've finalized your character a voice instructs each player on basic game mechanics and lets them practice. A countdown begins, and at the end your teleported to a large arena, only one other troll in sight.
Each turn roll 2D6, the first dice, hit accuracy hits on a 3-6.
If the first dice is a hit it deals the 2nd D6 of damage. |

Ahhh, character creation! Her favorite part of any game. She could fuss around with it forever! When Leeroi's games gave her customization options, she always took advantage of them. Sometimes a little too much.
Fortunately (for Chiara), the customization options were fairly simple. She decided go with her usual, familiar weapon to start - an axe. With a stabby knife for a side weapon, because who didn't want that! When she got a little better at the game, she figured, she could try other weapons and get really ridiculously awesome.
She went through the tutorials, and positively bounced on the balls of her feet as the countdown counted down. The moment she could, she charged forward in an attack, swinging her axe with a wild grin on her face. It was best to start these things with a bang, wasn't it?

Chiara reveled in the blood of her enemies. "Do you like that redblood?!" Chiara said, the blood lust getting to her. She swung and hacked at the other with her sword, then jumped back. She probably shouldn't be enjoying this so much, and in all honesty she should probably even the playing field a little, she HAD played this game a lot more than Psykgi. Chiara's character grunted, and rolled a bottle over to the other. "Well this isent any fun if i just get to win, Psykgi. Here, drink that, youve probably got a hang for the controls now, right?"
Psykgi obtains a bottle she can use to heal 10 hp

"Ha!" Psykgi managed to parry some of the attacks, but they got through. Did she like it? She was enjoying herself, though it did hurt and hadn't she heard of virtual reality games having real life consequences? Or was that just another game? Ah well, worrying about that kind of thing wasn't worth her time. After all, she was here, she was playing, and she was having fun.
Still - One of Chiara's attacks hit her right as she was preparing for a swing, unbalancing her - she was getting dangerously close to losing. In all competitions, someone had to win and someone had to lose and Psykgi was generally okay with taking her losses and trying again, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to fight to the finish.
She managed to get herself some space when Chiara broke character. To Psykgi's dissappointment. It broke the immersion a little, but she kept up her... significanctly bloody-minded... grin. "Well, thank you!" she said, picking up the bottle and looking it over. Knowing Chiara, it could just as easily be poison in this game, but well - Psykgi would try anything once.
Micillia I mean, if it can still be considered a battle, I don't mind. Can it be used in the same turn as an attack? Aaaand my dialog brain just went BLUP. |

"Wh...!" Psykgi dodged, the bottles missing her with their identical shattering glass bullets. Sharp glass raindrops. Whatever.
Either way, that had been a trap, and Psykgi really should have figured it out. This was Alternia. This was Chiara. Normally, she was better at these traps. But she survived it anyway.
"Again! Thanks!" she said, noting the new broken glass traps around her. Interesting! She took a swig of the potion just to see what would happen (she was half expecting it to be a poison item, honestly) - it, apparently, was real.
"Ahhh! Good stuff!" she said, attacking again. Her axe struck Chiara's shield with a lot of force, but there was strategy in that strike.
Going to push her towards the glass she thought, mentally preparing herself for a series of better strikes,
See where I go from there...
