When the new ruler of vangelism was chosen, the Church dedicated to Michael was, largely, retrofitted and changed to fit the new ruler asthetically. Here is where the faithful to Vangelism gather in prayer, in fellowship, and often in preparation when the call to arms goes out. Templars guard everyhall, faithful to the many gods of the pantheon. It lies in the heart of Fraxon, and is a the size of a much smaller city, as is stated in it's entry in the worlds and nations thread, and there are many thousands of vangelists here. Mark wielders have the ability to go most places within the palace, but even then not a lot is restricted. Within you hear the sounds of commerce, the sounds of healing and prayer, beautiful music everywhere. Rare is an unholy or non human seen here, mostly due to them not often being vangelists, but all are welcome to come and convert, observe, and learn. Even in such heated times as now, the general populace is not biased against their Mazdakii counterparts.

Even so, it is here where the heat of debates about what to do over Mazdakism are at their fieriest within the closed chambers of the inner sanctums.

Bells the size of trucks tolled, as they did on the hour each and every hour like clockwork. The sound of boots, greaves and shoes alike beat against the ground like a stampede: the work day had begun and commerce was still golden. Vera Gran was no stranger to the flow of traffic, and as usual she moved along with it like a single drop in the massive river that is vangelism. Many stares did she catch on her way from the hundreds she would pass on her way. She returned the ones she recognized for they favored her, and she ignored the skepticism and judgement she received just for existing, and twice over for having the audacity to believe herself a true vangelist. Still, even as they threw daggers with their eyes at the fact she was armed to the teeth with daggers, hand guns and a katana the color of obsidian, Vera Gran commanded at least respect from them. She'd taken the moniker of a black hand of vangelism, finding it's enemies wherever they lived and rooting them out. This sent her on missions to Nocturne, Kevai and Kenai alike to find those who had wronged Fraxon.

And at one time she had not been alone.

Now she walked the halls alone among all of her fellow Vangelists, wondering where exactly it had been that the world became so fractured. Perhaps it was when Elessia left the correct path, singing her song of sour notes to an uncorrupted choir who echoed it back at her, falling alongside her. Her own patron diety had sided with her. Uriel was not alone, as too did Solaris, and many other angels not to be named. Vera was no angel, and by no means above corruption. For a time she toyed with the idea of serving under Elessia instead of Michael. Now, as it stands, she saw that it mattered not. She was devout in her beliefs not because of Michael's omniscience in the first place, so him leaving with Antony in charge was not a smack for her. She had believed in the church when Raphael was the emperor, she loved Antony for marking him. She loved Samael for teaching mercy and understanding, even for those of unholy birth such as she. Monsters were not so because they chose to be so often as because they are born such. Nature v Nurture has an argument on eitherside, and Vera would tell all that she was nurtured against being evil in Samael's light. She was still tempermental, and the sharpened blade that became her mind was tasked by Uriel and Solaris both to destroy. Prayer in these very halls had also found a close friend.

One who left the church alongside Raphael when he formed his new pantheon. Vera had conflicted feelings. On the one hand, she had trusted in Raphael when he was emperor, followed his example and the example too of his vassal Maria Kal as a destroyer of her enemies... of their enemies. He wanted a world free of impact by the gods on the plane simply because their impact had been seen so negatively. Was that fair, however? Was our world not a gift from the gods? They fight on the third plane, use mortals as pawns in their games at times, but they also do so much to keep them alive. Solonor, who never turns an eye from the sun for very long, does everything in her power to keep it burning. She does this for the plain. Justoarianism is but a small portion of Vangelism in her eyes, and no one does more to keep the plane healthy than Solonor. Even Mazdakist god Maria is beholden to Solonor for her power, even she works in Vangelism's interest. Solonor atones by slaying the most foul of demons, and Uriel himself provides council for Vangelists here in our home. They made mistakes because there was no love, and with Antony at the head instead of Michael, who never really cared for anyone, Vangelism would be strong.

Instead Vera's only friend and half of the population under the Golden Sun Banner have abandoned Vangelism for their heretical gods, gods who do not love them. God's who do not wish the best for them. Raphael made a mistake not taking his place alongside Antony and his siblings. He made a mistake allying with the literal biggest whore on the plane and the snake who once ruled Eternal Darkness. Maria followed them, taking her dinosaur and causing a greater rift in the world in Los Anthos. Vera took solemn steps away from the herd of gray faces she was sworn to see safe as a member of Uriel's and Solaris's order. Vera entered a very large room, full of knights and magus and weapon masters alike, kneeling along them as a priest offered words of prayer over them all. It was how she took to starting her day, even if she wasn't quite so pious as to require prayer every single morning and before every action. When her eyes closed the visage of Solaris's Gladius filled her mind, as did Uriel's shield. She knew why so many had gathered. An inquisition was forming to bring demands to the Red Borrough. Demands that they come back, leave Fraxon, or be brought to heel forcefully.
Vera worried about seeing those eyes out there... Sophia's eyes. She stood alongside the many others ready to leave, gripping the hilt of her weapon tightly. Within the hour they were marching towards the Borrough a few hundred strong, Vera at the tip of the spear mostly just for fear her nerves would scare her out without the army pushing her forward.
