11/07/2016 - Get To Know Your Guildmates!Hey, Newbies! Did you know the guild has a chatroom? Because it does! Our Guild Chat is where members can talk to each other, get to know each other, and plot fun roleplay drama with each other. We encourage all members to come hang out with us. Plotting out scenes and getting immersed in the guild is much easier and more fun when you're doing it in real time with the whole group. Plus, most of the veteran members and moderators hang out there regularly, meaning you can get quick answers to any questions. Before entering, please read the chatroom rules here, and here, and some important notes about the guild here.

2/14/2017 - Signature Madness!We're making some changes to how crew deal with leaving their signature on family profiles. Starting now, the first post of all family profile threads need to include the following: Accepted by: *crew signature*
Recent updates accepted by: *crew signature*
Accepted characters: (list of currently accepted characters) You may code the form in any way you see fit to work with your thread's aesthetic, as long as all the information is present and visible. In order to get all profiles updates with the new system, members are going to have until March 15, 2017 to get their character profiles updated. You may choose to update profiles however you see fit, even if that's just making sure their age is accurate. You'll also need to add the form above to the first post of all family profile threads. ** Important !! ** Do not move the signatures currently present on your profiles to the form! Once the 16th rolls around, crew will begin the process of checking and re-accepting all profiles, and leaving new signatures. This process should be completed by the end of March. Profiles that are not updated by the cutoff will be tagged as needing updates. You will have to post in the NCR to get the thread looked over at that point. Any profiles that are not updated by the end of April will be moved to the Graveyard. ** The following information is not in the Announcement that was sent via the Guild Announcement System **Members will still be permitted to post their characters while they are updated and pending reacceptance in March. However, if they are not updated in March and end up being tagged by crew as needing updates, you will not be allowed to post those characters until they are updated and reaccepted. If you post a character from a family that has been tagged as 'Needs Updates', you will be issued a warning. This has been a Vitally Fundamental Disclosure.

02/15/2017 - Signature Madness Part 2!In the interest of helping members understand the plan for profile updates and the integration of our new approval signature system, we've created a thread in the Family Profiles Subforum. It outlines some of the basic information on what's happening. If you have any questions, you are also free to post them to the thread for a crew member to answer. 04/04/2017 - Bring Out Yer Dead!
Hear ye, hear ye!
All family profiles should have been looked over and had their signatures updated under the new system. Currently, there should only be one signature on any profile*, under the 'accepted by' section, and the Accepted Characters section should list all characters in the thread that were updated.
*exceptions made for threads that were already acceptable under the new system, which were left alone
Key word being 'should', some profiles might have been missed. As of right now, it's member's responsibility to check their threads and make sure that they were all looked over. If you find one that got missed, please PM a link to Cara MiaKitty.
Any profile that was not updated and therefore did not get checked should now have one of two notes attached in place of 'Accepted' in the title, either 'Needs Updating (On Hold)' or 'Needs Updating'. On hold profiles belong to people who are on an official hiatus and have made crew aware of this fact. Those threads will be left alone until the member returns. But, any thread without the On Hold tag needs to be updated immediately. If it is not updated by April 15, the thread will be removed and the family will be considered inactive until the member requests for it to be returned and updates it accordingly.

05/06/2017 - Mind Your HeadLast minute reminder to all members that if you have a first year, you need to post them in the Sorting Hat thread in order for them to participate in the school year. Failure to post your student for sorting will result in their profile being moved to the Whomping Willow once the sorting is over. In case you missed it, Quidditch tryouts are officially underway! Grab a broom and head out to the pitch for a spot on your house team! First years are welcome to tryout, though they must use a school broom. Anything is a UFO if you're bad enough at identifying things.
But this is Quidditch, so it's probably a Bludger.

08/08/2017 - Your House Wants YOU (for the Quidditch team)Sorting has been closed for the school year! All first year students have until the 15th of this month to add their house to their profile. Failure to add it will result in your profile being moved to the Whomping Willow. Please add your house and add "House Added" to your profile's thread title so it can be accepted by the Student Profiles Manager. Do not mark your profile as "Accepted." Quidditch tryouts are now underway! If you're interested and haven't already, please come try out for your house team! First year students are permitted to play but must use school issued brooms. You can find important information on how to play here and here. Tryouts will be starting very soon, so hurry up, or you'll be late! If you get lost on the way to class, ask a portrait or a ghost.

10/01/2017 - Summer Homework Assignments SuckThird Years and up! Now's the time to send in your elective requests for the next school year! Feel free to use the elective list from last year as a reference to remember which classes to sign up for. Second Year students are also eligible to sign up for Advanced Flying I. Currently Accepted Students: You have until October 15th to update your students for next year! Any student not updated by the 15th will be removed to the Whomping Willow. Students must be re-accepted by the start of the new school year to be posted. There has also been a slight skeleton and policy update - students who are granted the prefect or Head titles must include this information in their profiles. There is also an optional section for extracurriculars such as Quidditch and clubs! If you are using either of the guild-provided skeletons, you can find these sections in the thread with them. There is also a new thread detailing information on how updating students works, please read it and be sure to follow its guidelines in the future. If you're a new member and have a currently pending first year, please join us for the Summer month over at Ministry of Magic and the Wizarding World! Try not to get attacked by any dementors over the holidays, dears.

01/12/2017 - Summertime BluesThird Years and up, don't forget to send in your elective requests for the 2040-2041 school year! Here's last year's list for your reference. Second years are also welcome to sign up for Advanced Flying. Currently accepted students! Remember to get your students updated for the next school year, and be sure to follow the guidelines outlined here regarding thread titles. Unlike last year, anyone who fails to follow these guides will have their profiles removed to the Whomping Willow. Students with newly applied honors such as prefect should remember to include this information in profiles as well! You have until January 25th to update your profiles. Trust me, tickling a sleeping dragon is a very, very bad idea.
