 Trudging along Adolfo was prepared to go through the whole night - it just seemed to be the right time to truly make some headway away from one home to hopefully find another. The pale wild dog did stop briefly though, ahead was a watering hole that had his name written all over it. Panting, the pale wild dog approached the waters edge with caution, he could never be to aware - at least in his mind. This was the opportune moment for someone, something to strike. He was defenseless though, just appeared so.
Then, instead of just leaning forward to lap at the glass-like waters he moved a paw to it's surface and tested the temperature. Though the nights were much colder than the days he could still feel the heat of the sun on his back and so it seemed needed the coolness. Toes, then a paw and soon his whole body was creeped into the water and he let out a breathy sigh of relief.
A shiver followed his sigh and once he relaxed a little he lifted himself up enough to lean back and gaze upward. He had chosen an incredible night to travel so late.

She hadn't been gone long from her traveling companion but when she came back he was standing in the semi-still waters of a watering hole. Her soft violet gaze never left him as she stood there, silently watching him. She wasn't even sure he knew she was standing there or not but she didn't care. It was nice to just observe him in his moment of serenity. Or relief from the heat at any rate. "I wasn't gone too long I hope?" She called out finally and moved to join him, a bright smile upon her muzzle. She had left to see if she could find something worth eating but hadn't really had much luck so far. Everything was either sleeping or preparing to hibernate. "I was afraid you may have run off without me." She teased.

The pale wild dogs body instantly responded to the call of his love - this showed with a broad smile on his maw. Adolfo moved to gaze towards his mate and upon seeing her they lit up. "You had only been gone long enough for me to start missing you, not a moment longer." He mused, the romantic at heart taking over.
"Never." An amused tone took over the word when spoken. "Did you have any luck tracking us down a meal?" Adolfo asked with curiosity - he wasn't hungering to deeply, but if she had gone out then she was certainly a little bit. That thought burned in the back of his mind fiercely, she was a perfectly capable individual and so he didn't force pampering, but he knew as soon as she was relaxed he would go off and try to get her a meal.
"The area seemed a little spare."

She smiled at his words and allowed herself to cool in the waters as she listened to the slight splashing her legs caused as she moved. Her expression changed and she frowned, "No, there wasn't really anything to find." She had done what she could to find something but she didn't want to venture too far away and then get lost returning. While she was certain he'd of come found her if she was gone for too long she didn't want to risk getting separated like that. NOT that she wasn't capable of taking care of herself, she had just been alone for so long that she wasn't exactly wanting to go back to that sort of lifestyle anytime soon, if at all. "It's pretty much slim pickings." She was certain there were a few animals hiding here and there but she wasn't that hungry to attempt to dig them out of their hiding places. It could wait. "Anything happen while I was away?"

Adolfo watched the reactions of his significant other carefully - there was no indication of anything having happened and so he was satisfied there wasn't any danger. It appeared as though there was simply nothing, which was unfortunate and a blessing in disguise really.
"When the time comes we will find something, until then we can enjoy the waters." It seemed water would always have a special place in their hearts, or so assumed that expanded to his beloved, as they always seemed to end up in it. "The sky is so clear this evening, I don't think a thing could have happened to take away my attention from it." He mused, lining himself up for a corny line.
"That is, until you returned to my side."
A wide smile beamed from the male, his eyes were glued to her. "You'll always capture my attention."

She had no doubts about them finding a place and it seemed to be he was in agreement. She turned her gaze towards the sky and smiled as he spoke and she allowed herself to just fade into the moment with the two of them. And then the corny lines started.
Giving him a broad grin she turned her head to look at him and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? That's truly flattering for you to say. Though I don't think I'd pass up that view above for me." She said with a light laugh. She was only teasing him but she was being semi truthful, that view was gorgeous.
She could feel his gaze on her still and it made her flush. "You know it embarrasses me when you talk like that." She said shyly.

"You have no idea how worth it you are."
Adolfo felt his heart flutter in his chest. The love of his life was by his side, the night was beautiful and most certainly still young. "You'll make us the most beautiful family." He spoke suddenly, thoughts running wild and romantic. This was the kind of moment he hoped would last forever, it'd be novice to think that would be the case, but he'd never experienced a difficulty with her and based on their current relationship he figured they never would.
"Could you picture a family created by us?" Of course the pair were already family, but he meant specifically pups - to expand their family from two to many others would be the best day of his young life.
With that in mind he returned his gaze to the sky to contemplate what he had just brought up between them. He was sure they'd talked about this before, but there was no such thing as bringing it up to often?

She bent her head to look away bashfully and then took in a deep breath and let it out before looking back at him as he brought up the idea of a family once again. She never got tired of hearing it but never felt it had been a right moment, but when was a right moment. She took a step forward and rested her head gently underneath his muzzle, leaning against the warmth of his throat. "We could always start trying and see what happened." She said softly to him. "I have no doubts any children we have will be beyond beautiful."

Adolfo breathed out a soft sigh of relief as his words were well received. He enjoyed seeing his mate act so shy and embarrassed, the blush that spread across her cheeks warmed him in many ways. "I agree." He smiled to the sky this time and sighed openly as she rested beneath his chin - these were the moments he cherished above anything else and he hoped that she'd truly meant what she said, to begin trying, there was nothing he wanted more.
"We will find a home and when we do that home will know the beautiful little souls we produce, how about that?" He hoped that thought would relax her nerves. Adolfo wanted nothing more than a happy mate and a family, but her happiness came above all else - he just found it hard not to bring up the potential they shared.

"I think that sounds wonderful." She said, warmness filling her soul and heart as she leaned back and looked at him. Giving him a kiss on the cheek she looked around. "Come, let's make ourselves comfortable for the night." She said leading him from the water towards a more comfortable spot for the night.
