 Nans and Tahs of all ages! Be prepared to have your collective minds blown!
Monday we opened our curtains to the world, revealing the secret horrors of the night! From slips of the Weaver's paw to B'alam who have tamed the very elements themselves- we have it all!
This is Day 4 of our grand act!
This show will begin on my word, your humble Ringleader and conclude the day after. With every event that you attend, my dears, you will earn one admission pass. That's right- you don't even need to win to gain one! At the end of the week you can turn in your admission passes for a chance to meet me personally!
Today's event will test your passion, your eye for the mesmerizing, and the
creativity of your paws! Today, our exotic and beautiful Fire dancer and her faithful Dancing Mandafu take center stage! Water and fire together at last in a dazzling, death-defying display of the elements verses the B'alam!
In order to impress our dancer, you must prove that you can put on a display of beauty yourself! Bring your talent to center stage, my dears, and let the world see what you can do!

This event has two prizes! That's right, you will take home this beauty and her faithful mandafu!
The Rules
→ You may enter once!
→ This is an art contest! But we can take any medium as an entry from poetry, digital art, to even pencil doodles or baked goods! We want to see effort and creativity more than a DaVinci.
→ The work has to have something to do with B'alam. It can be one of your characters, one of the meta characters, one of the prize B'alam, etc. No concepts or quests- the B'alam characters have to exist.
→ The work must be YOURS. If we find you've cheated, you'll not only be excluded from the event, you'll be greylisted for three months. We don't appreciate art theft!
→ Any posts after the closing time, whether we are here or not to officially close it, will not be counted.
How to Play
Again, this is an art contest! The subject matieral is B'alam. We'll be judging on a number of things:
◘ Creativity
◘ Accuracy to the canon of the shop
◘ Thought put into the product
◘ Effort put into the product
Note that we will not be judging on who's the best poet, artist, etc. here! We just want to see you express your creativity in whatever way suits you! We will be judging as a staff (excluding any that may enter) so there is no bias towards one medium or one individual.

Elements at odds;
Burning, flowing, smoldering,
Raining from on high.
Fire and water;
Though they are adversaries,
Now they merge as one.
Energy made flesh,
Power and fury take form,
Feline emerges.
Graceful dancer beams.
Light paws present a challenge.
Can you match her dance?
Beware, oh brave soul.
Do not underestimate,
For the price is steep.
► Give us some insight in this piece! The idea of opposing elements brought together in one being causes one to wonder if this combination causes the dancer any strife. Does she struggle against her own nature to pursue her dream? Or, do the elements favor and complement one another? I wanted to explore the thoughts behind these questions while also paying tribute to the nature of the dancer, a beauty, but not one to be trifled with, as danger lurks beneath that beguiling loveliness.
► Who does this piece feature and why? The Fire Dancer and her Mandafu - in addition to simply seeming appropriate to write this featuring her, I've always been personally fascinated by the elements and examples of duality in nature. I even did my senior art show on this theme. I was so excited to see that the Fire Dancer was a Water Tribe B'alam, I just knew I had to enter!

So being drunk me i tend to work on art work adn that is exactly what i ended up doing. I started off wanting to draw this pretty lady either doing a performance or practicing for her next show and it ended up like this. She uses her telekenisis to toss her torch. ► Who does this piece feature and why? The pretty from this contest. Because she deserves love. Plus dancing cats = <3

This piece displays either the bravery, or the insanity, of the circus performer while he puts on a show. ► Who does this piece feature and why? It features the Harmadillo tamer and the current Harmadillo he has tamed. As for the reason, it was the first idea that came to mind. I also always liked the idea of taming animals (though not in a rough, cruel manner mind you). So, because of this and the fact I really liked the design of the two, I chose the tamer and the familiar.

This is the fire dancer surrounded by fire directing her mandafu to jump through a ring of fire. Each feat gets harder than the next. (I'm so sorry it's horrible.) ► Who does this piece feature and why? The fire dancer and mandafu, because everyone loves a little fire.
