The stallion let out a breath heavily, having just finished treating his young daughter and getting her to sleep. Her continued illness worried him. He was tired down to the bone, to the point even his soul felt weary. He wandered slowly, the night falling around him. He had no real destination, but he could hear the gentle lapping of the slow river they had settled near. He adjusted slightly to intercept the source of water for a drink, suddenly finding himself parched. As he approached he found a looming figure there, silhouetted against the falling sun. For a moment he paused, unsure whether it was a threat but as the waning rays of light filtered through the double set of wings before him he knew he was in the presence of a creature of light. He continued his approach, aware of her gaze upon him even if he couldn't see her eyes.
"Greetings, Angeni." His tone was neutral, as cordial as the stallion tended to be. "What brings you here? I haven't seen you around before." They'd lingered longer than intended alongside the herd they'd been helping, and he was familiar with most of the nearby creatures. He hadn't seen the angelic mare before.

The night was beginning to fall. She landed softly, drinking deeply from the river she had found. It was pleasantly cool and clear. She splashed around, washing away the dust of travel before shaking off and returning to the bank. She was frowning, disappointed in yet another day of not finding her sister. Movement caught her eye and she turned to watch the approach of another soquili. He was a large stallion, powerful-looking and stern. She was unafraid. She held her ground, staring him down. He paused when he noticed her but continued his approach. He didn't seem a threat if he recognized her for what she was and still was comfortable in her presence. He was relaxed, causing her to do the same.
"I can cover a lot of ground from the sky," she replied simply. "I am not from here, and I apologize if I have disrupted your home. I'll be on my way once the sun rises again and I can fly away." She took the opportunity to study him, taking in his starry appearance and coal-black eyes. It was rare to find someone with eyes even darker and unreadable than her own.

He snorted at the idea this was his home. Had they really stayed so long? His thoughts drifted once more to his mate and son, somewhere far from them. He hoped Berith would be able to travel soon. Every day that passed made him more anxious that they would not be reunited, for undoubtedly Naamah and Agares had left by now to try to find him and Berith. Would they find each other again?
"This is not my home," he said. "I am a traveler myself. My daughter and I are seeking out my mate and son."

Her heart skipped slightly when he mentioned being separated from his family. She certainly knew that feeling. She felt like half of her was severed off. She was lost and alone and while outwardly she remained calm and collected and strong inside she was dying. She had no idea the fate of her beloved sister and that was an unbearable burden. She could only imagine how that pain might be multiplied when applied to losing both a mate and child. It was clear what she needed to do and without hesitation she made the stallion an offer.
"I too am seeking out my family. I was separated from my sister, my twin Valoel. Perhaps we can help each other. My name is Micah." She gave the stallion a polite curtsy.
