The Portal brings you to a corner of Skylands. The land is covered in ice. It is the Empire of Ice, on the Island Nations of Fire and Ice. Princess Snowflake is a beautiful princess, with long, light blue and silver hair and icy blue eyes. She beckons you forward, to give you the mission briefing.

Weston felt confident as they warped in. This wasn't the first mission he had lead, and he was more than enthusiastic about the location of the mission. He wasn't so sure about Melody coming along (he felt she was too overprotective at times) but he wasn't going to say so out loud. He was just glad Johnny wasn't here.
Spotting the princess, Weston floated over to her and bowed slightly. "M' lady," he greeted, "We are the Skylanders who were sent to escort you."

Princess Snowflake gave Weston a beautiful smile.
"Thank you for coming, Skylanders," she said in a kind voice that sounded as soft as snow. "My mission is a peaceful one. My kingdom has been at war with the Kingdom of Fire for as long as anyone can remember. But recently, Princess Ember contacted my father, wanting to make peace. But not everyone wants peace. A lot of the Fire Kingdom assassins have been hired by someone to try to kill me before I can make it to Princess Ember.
"That is where you come in. I don't think the assassins will try to attack Skylanders, but there are other dangers along the path to the Fire Kingdom. Can I count on you to help me? For the good of my people?"
She looked at the Skylanders with pleading eyes.

Melody stepped over to stand beside Weston. She didn't like how pretty she was. But she refused to show her jealousy.
"Of course you can," she told the princess, "We are the Skylanders. We took a vow to protect the weak and the innocent."
She quickly cast a side glance at Weston, warning him that if he started flirting with the princess, she would destroy him.

"Thank you," Snowflake replied, smiling sweetly. "My Kingdom and I will forever be in your debt."
"Hey, that's what the Skylanders are for," Harmony replied. "You don't owe us anything. Besides, we haven't even gotten to the Fire Kingdom yet."
Snowflake nodded in agreement, suddenly becoming very serious. "My life is in your hands, Skylanders."

Ruby had been standing next to Sapphire, gently leaning on her. But as soon as the princess became serious, so did she. The soldier instinct in her took over and she immediately ran to the front of the group, saluting as she did.
"Don't worry, ma'am! You can count on us," she told the princess. Then she turned towards the path, leading the way.

Princess Snowflake smiled gently as she began to follow Ruby. She had faith that the Skylanders would be able to get her safely to the Fire Kingdom and they would have peace at last.
Harmony rolled her eyes with a smirk as she too began following behind Ruby.
"Do you know who might have hired these assassins in the first place?" she asked the Princess. "If it's someone from the Fire Kingdom, we may be walking into a trap."
"I don't know," the princess replied. "But I don't care. If there's even a slight chance for peace, I must take it, no matter what the risk on my life."

Sapphire strode calmly beside Ruby, the picturesque of the peace between Fire and Ice. When the princess spoke, she turned to look at her.
"You are lucky to have us," she told her. "With my powers, I can see into the future. I will be able to know when our enemies are coming. You will have nothing to worry about. If there are any ambushes, I will know about them."

Weston made sure the group was surrounding the princess. He didn't want her to get attacked from any side.
He kept his eyes sharp, scanning the frozen landscape, keeping watch for anything that looked like it might attack.

Princess Snowflake smiled warmly at her escort, striding calmly in the middle. With the Skylanders by her side, she knew she would be able to bring peace to her kingdom.
They had gotten to the first island when trouble started. A blizzard that surrounded the entire Ice Kingdom had begun to stir up, masking their direction in a cloud of white.
"Shouldn't we wait until the blizzard has stopped?" Harmony asked, her teeth chattering.
"It never stops," the princess told her. "It's our only protection from the Fire Kingdom and other evil beings. The blizzard hides our kingdom and stops invaders in their tracks."

"I am perfectly OK with that," Weston told the princess, grinning.
This. This was why he decided to go on this mission. He looked back at the group.
"But if you don't mind, your highness, it would be easier to see if we didn't have this blizzard. At least, not right in front of us."
Weston lifted his arms and closed his eyes, concentrating. Suddenly, the swirling snow in front of them stopped, making the path clear and easy, while the blizzard still raged around them.

Princess Snowflake widened her eyes in surprise.
"How did you do that?" she wondered. "Only the royal family knows how to control the blizzard! But you did it with such ease! It's amazing!"

"Show-off," she muttered under her breath.

Sapphire paused, staring off into the frozen blizzard. But she was not seeing the blizzard. She was seeing something else.
"There's someone coming," she warned. "From the Fire Kingdom. They are going to ambush us."

Ruby hissed with annoyance and summoned her gauntlet. Then she ran to stand in front of the princess and protect her. Though she would prefer to have Sapphire by her side, she was determined that it would be safer if Sapphire stayed back.
If whatever this threat was wanted to interfere, they would have to get through Ruby first.
