The entire idea of such a double life was becoming rather easy to grasp for the cosmos page. The logic behind things was simple: throw out everything you know about space and accept magic does exist. Okay, so it wasn't THAT easy for the woman to dedicated her life to studying space. Meteora had all but had to throw her hands up when she she had stood on the surface of Mars than gone into work to look at pictures of Mars rocks. But there was one aspect Kai had told her about that she had yet to really face. Youma had a way of interrupting their dates but it was not since she first met the Mars Bull that she had laid eyes on the so called 'Negaverse Agents'. Hiking up the damn dress, she continued her walk around the blocks closest to the improv club she liked to preform at. Tonight she had off but if nothing happened, she would head in. Hey, Kai never said how long she had to stay out...though with him still out of commission she had been out longer. Worry wort. "Stupid dress..." She hissed, stepping on it once more and stumbling forward.

Lopezite was still adjusting to the Negaverse, but so far it was hard to say that he was taking it seriously. He was curious about it, certainly, but it was hard to determine exactly where his loyalties were. For now, he was loyal to himself, but he was grateful for the power and excitement Metallia had given him. Though, he'd never met her, and found it increasingly difficult to reach the General who had brought him into the Negaverse.
A mysterious organization, of which he still knew next to nothing about.
They didn't make it easy to know them, or for new recruits to learn much, so he wasn't really trying.
He was, however, trying to learn more about what this new power meant for him.
He was becoming quite skilled at picking up energy signatures, though finding them was still trial and error. He was on the rooftops tonight, practicing his running jumps, when he felt her. It took only a moment to consider what he would do, and he promptly found himself moving to the edge of each building and peering over.
Her dress was a dead giveaway, even if her energy signature was not. He whistled to get her attention, and even waved. "Hello," he called. "What are you doing down there, are you not worried you will be seen? There is a police car only two blocks from here." He pointed in the direction he'd come from, as if to give her an idea of where he'd last spotted the vehicle. "You'll look very silly trying to run from them in that dress. You should come up here."

She really needed to get better at pay attention to her surroundings. This entire 'aura' ability should have been a dead give away ten minutes ago that she wasn't alone. Yet it was the whistle that made her jump, stumble and catch herself in a half fall, at altered Meteora to the chaos signature behind her. Head tilting back, she scanned the direction the whistle had come from before eyes got high enough for her to see the male form. With a sigh, she dropped the edge of her dress and put the hand on her hip. "I look even worse trying jumping in this thing so why don't you come down here instead. I'm sure the cops would be more interested in watching cosmic powers up close than flying off a roof top."

Lopezite couldn’t help but laugh. “You are stubborn, I see. I will come get you, then, if you don’t want to jump.”
He dropped down and landed on his feet, though the landing made his knees crack a bit. “Having the strength to do fantastical things is nice, but my body is still getting used to it, I think,” he said as he brushed his knees and stood up straight.
There was no sign of any police cars yet, but he wasn’t keen on wasting his time.
“I cannot let them give you chase,” he said, as if apologetic, “But I wish to speak with you. And if you cannot run, nor jump, I will take care of this.”
And then he scooped her into his arms. He was gentle, and particularly mindful not to cop a feel, but he did not wait for her permission before he carried her to the roof. He might have been able to make the jump alone without issue, straight from the ground to the roof, but he was careful and made his way first to some scaffolding on the side of the building, and then up to the roof. He set the woman down almost immediately and took a step back, brushing his hands off as he eyed the edge of the rooftop--and the car that passed by one side just a few seconds later.
He seemed pleased with himself and smiled at her. “What is your name, Knight?”

He'd what? The entirety of his response surprised Meteora, and it took alot now a days to do that. She was about to verbally respond to him with some witty punchline but with a blink of an eye, she was in his arms and off the ground. "Hey! I don't even let my boyfriend carry me like this!" With a kick of her leg, Meteora was pretty sure she was in one of those movie poses where the man carries off the lady. Looking down at the ground though, she figures she more looked like a marshmallow being carried away but a ninja...ninja in training... In the back of her mind, Meteora knew this was an agent. She knew he was trouble. Yet as she felt her feet hit the roof with a click and watched him back away, she couldn't help but narrow her eyes at him. "You're new aren't you?" Her voice was calm but she never took her eyes off him, even as she straightened her dress so the see-through parts were not over her behind anymore. "You have manners. Most just seem to like their fist talk before their mouths. Very well. Meteora, Page of Cosmos. And yourself?"

"New?" he asked. "Not so very, no. I am Lopezite. Lieutenant," he added nonchalantly, not even sure it mattered. "Why do you ask?" he prompted, wondering why she might have suspected he was new. His attention fully on her now that they didn't have to worry about being found by any police officers.
It wasn't that a chase didn't sound like it might have been a bit of fun, but he couldn't justify getting into trouble if it wasn't necessary. There wasn't anything to gain out of it, anyway--except, perhaps, an adrenaline rush--and as long as he was powered, there were plenty of other ways to get one.
Still, his demeanor hadn't changed; he seemed friendly enough but didn't quite seem oblivious to the difference in their factions. He just hadn't decided to attack--yet, at least.

"Lopezite. That makes me think of the talk show host and comedian Mario Lopez. No relation?" A playful smile crossed her face at that as she raised her arms to cross them under her chest. He seemed nervous. Worried almost. It was harder to pick up now that she was at his height but still, it was there. Odd. "It isn't so much asking as noticing. Your mannerism and how you hold yourself. So my peg was either new or your were raised a prince. And since I don't know any royal kingdoms missing a Prince..." Meteora gave a light shrug. "You said you wished to speak with me. About what?"

"Relation? None that I know of," he replied, equally playful smile drifting across his face. "You flatter me, though. To be compared to a prince is quite an honor. Though, if you don't mind, I wished to speak to you about--well, you. This war, in general. I know so little about this 'enemy' I am supposed to fight. I wanted then, to see how dangerous you were. I'd like to fight with you."
He was honest still, and while he expressed no real hostility, he was serious about wanting a fight. Perhaps it was to test his abilities, or hers, or see just what a threat she really was; either way, he turned to face her.
It didn't look like he intended to take no for an answer--even if he did add a polite, "Please," at the end.

If someone had a video camera out, they could have made a mint on the shift in facial expressions that came from Meteora. The expression was best summed up in confused shock. Even her jaw was hanging slightly open. "Well, there is a surprise." She couldn't help it. Meteora had to laugh. Kai was never going to believe this. "I've never been properly asked for a match. Normally I just get hit or someone comes flying through a window." But with his turn, Met's hand lifted up beside her and in it appeared a silk scarf with a glass star at the end. "Alright Lt. Lopezite. If you insist, I will be happy to show you what I am. I am a Page of Cosmos. I fight to protect the balance of things and draw my power from the wonder of Meteora..." Oh god, she was mono-logging. Really? This wasn't a stage. This was a roof top and a soon to be battle. And she was mono-logging. Wow... Coughing, she stopped to clear her throat. "Anyway, I have clearly spent too much time with some other knights. Shall you do the honors then?"

Lopezite did not seem to mind her monologue; instead, he seemed totally invested. He listened intently and nodded whenever she paused. "It would be my pleasure," he said, taking a fighting stance. He retrieved his weapon--a worn looking sheath, probably of some now withering leather material. It didn't seem like it could do much damage on its own, but he held it like he would a sword.
"The rules then--no hits to the face. Three blows to be exchanged each. That is all I ask."
He gave her a moment to prepare herself and then began the first of his attacks--he lunged forward and jabbed his sheath as if he intended to stab her in the stomach. The leather was pliable and at worst could bruise, but it seemed more likely that--unless caught at the right angle--the sheath would simply bend before causing much harm.

"I can agree to those terms." Meteora's smile seemed to harden. She was watching the male closely now grateful that Kai had insisted on teaching her the basics of fighting. To be honest, she had never been in a true hand to hand fight but she wasn't going to go down without at least hitting...something. That something may have been the ground below but darn would she hit it hard! Without a word, he pushed forward at her. Mind racing, she could hear the big bill's voice screaming: MOVE! But she over road such a thing. Though she would not allow the man a direct hit on her if she could help it, Meteora did twist her body around so that instead of her abs, he would find the meat of her hips. Contact made her stumble sideways but she was able to regain her balance like a drunk elephant. "So that's what that feels like..." Met winced as her empty hand rubbed her hip. So that was his strike one. As he didn't come at her right away, she took that as a cue that she was up. While he had something hard in his hand, she had fabric and glass. Glass could be painful but only if it hit right. the scarf on the other hand...but she would have to get close up. So what the heck! With her free hand, she grabbed the bottom of her dress, yanked it up so she could walk, and moved forward, spinning the star at the end. With a swing, she stepped closer to land it over his head.

Lopezite eyed the scarf she swung and quickly ducked, keen on avoiding the heavier end. "That is your weapon?" he couldn't help but ask. "It seems a bit unfair to give you something like that and saddle you with such a long dress. You should file a complaint," he teased.
He kept his eye on her scarf, figuring that it didn't look too dangerous, but all it would take was one good hit and he could already see the inconveniences piling up.
He would have bet that her legs were her weakness; right now know she was swinging her scarf and holding up her dress so she knew he had to be off balance. He moved quickly, trying to sweep her legs from underneath her. He realized that it would have put himself in close proximity, but if he could take her down, that wouldn't have mattered.

"Trust me..." Meteora sighed as he dodged the attack. She could see his aim and took advantage of it. When he made his move for her legs, Met took advantage of it as well. Dropping her dress, she used her now free hand to grab out towards his top and hold on. He was going with her to the ground. "If I knew who, I would ship this all back to them and tell them to go ******** themselves." Flipping the heavy end of the scarf she aimed for around his neck and reached to grab the heavy end, pulling on it. "Knights get shafted in these things. Nets, string, watches. It's pointless. WAY too many staffs."

Lopezite made a noise of surprise, first when he hit the ground and then when she wrapped the scarf around him. He barely had any time to slide his wrist to his neck as if he was going to stop her from strangling him.
...Not that this even seemed like it was going to be that sort of fight, though.
"Oh," he said, still seeming surprised. "That's a good one. I'm starting to think that weapon might not be all that bad. I was starting to think a staff sounded better than this, but you could get a lot of use out of this."
He was straining to free himself but still seemed to be at least somewhat relaxed. Perhaps it was because he didn't feel like his life was really on the line; he really was treating this like it was just a practice session.
He only had one attack left before he reached his three-attack cap so he knew he had to make this one count. It was an awkward position and his sheath was located somewhere beneath him. His legs weren't in any position to prime him for an attack and with one arm bound to his neck he only had a few options.
Apparently, the best one was to snake his free arm around to Meteora's side and try to tickle her until she lost her grip on the scarf so he could free himself.

"You would be surprised." Meteora smirked, amused at how he had managed to get his arm up in time to stop her from cutting off his wind pipe. Smart man. Not that she would have killed him right then. No, this agent amused her. In a way, she almost wanted to have a beer with him. Almost... The tickle attack meant that if they did drink together, he was SO paying! "Ack! Hey Wait!" Meteora called out, trying to shift her side away as she realized what was going on. The smile was growing on her face and she couldn't help it. She was laughing. "No...Fair!" Trying to make out between fits, the page lost hold of her scarf as she rolled away to the side, doing her best to get away. Even out of range, she was still laughing as she looked over at him and swung out a leg to kick him in the shin. Her third hit. "That was a cheap shot!" She laughed, sitting up and trying to breathe. "And here I was going to tell you most people use staffs as a show more than a weapon..."
