Isonoe had been at the University for a while now, she had two beautiful children who were staying at the Academy already. She loved her little ones dearly, even if she didn't see them as often as she would have liked. There had been a lot of things on her mind lately, a part of her had considered trying to get her own place and have the kids move in with her, but they had already started their life at the Academy and she didn't want to pull them out when they had grown so used to the way things were. There was a part of her that still had a really hard time considering herself a mother, even if she was. It wasn't that she wasn't a good mother, but when she generally only saw them on the weekends and a call every day, it was sometimes hard to remember that it wasn't a dream.
Currently, however, Isonoe had set out to have a small homemade meal. She had invited Pallas over so that they could talk and hang out. Isonoe was pretty nervous about the whole thing, but she hoped that Pallas would like it. She had cooked some chicken with homestyle baked potatoes and asparagus. She tried to make it look as nice as she could, but she knew it was still somewhat rustic in appearance compared to a fancy restaurant. Next, she went to her room and put on a nice dress and pulled her hair up, placing some nice earrings on. She wanted things to go well.

Pallas had dressed up a little for this date with Isonoe. She wore a shimmery halter dress that poofed out at her hips and fell to her knees. It was one of her favorite because she always felt so pretty when she wore it. Her hair she left in her signature braid and on her feet were her favorite ballet flats.
With a deep breath, she knocked on the door to Isonoe's place, her heart fluttering somewhere at the bottom of her throat. She always got this way when she was going to see Isonoe, excited with just a pinch of anxiousness and a big dose of anticipation. Her lip curved in a smile she just couldn't turn off.Koiasi Sorry it took me all day ;n; I'm a huge derp.

Isonoe felt her stomach lurch a little when she heard the knock on the door. She quickly put on her lipstick and went to the door, smoothing out some wrinkles in her dress and drawing in a deep breath. When she was mentally prepared, she pulled the door open, she nibbled on her lower lip and gave a gentle smile, "You look beautiful." She had really meant that she felt her breath catch in her throat when she saw her standing there in that dress. She moved to the side, allowing Pallas to enter and then shut the door. "How have you been?"

Pallas smiled brightly when the door was opened. "Hey! Thanks," she said, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. "So do you." Was her heart supposed to be beating this fast? She hoped it was at least passingly normal as it seemed to happen every time she saw Isonoe. That and a goofy smile that just wouldn't quit.
She took a breath to try and calm herself a little as she stepped inside. "I've been alright," she said and leaned close to kiss Isonoe's cheek. "Much better now, though. How about you? And the kids?" Pallas was still a little nervous around Isonoe's twins, but she loved them just the same.

Isonoe's cheeks turned scarlet when Pallas kissed it. She sputtered slightly and pulled some hair behind her ears. She lifted her hand and gently touched Pallas' own cheek with the back of her fingers before pulling away, flushing even brighter. "I'm glad you're doing alright. They're doing okay, they seem to be adjusting to the Academy pretty well." She tried to continue on with the subject, trying to move attention from her flushed cheeks.
She moved toward the kitchen. "Dinner is ready." She lit the candlesticks on the table and moved some silverware to the table. She grabbed a bottle from the cabinet and poured them both some wine. "It's one of my favorites, I hope you like it." She then turned and handed the glass to Pallas.

She almost couldn't believe how cute this Nightmare was. "I'm glad they're doing well," she said. Pallas smiled as she followed Isonoe to the kitchen, a little surprised by the candles but entirely pleased by them. She sipped the wine as it was given to her and sighed happily. "It's delicious," she said. "And dinner smells wonderful, too. What are we having?" Smoothing her skirt behind her, the purpley Imp sat at the table and crossed her ankles underneath. Her heart was still racing as she watched Isonoe move about the kitchen. If this was what love was like, this was something she could definitely get used to.

Isonoe put her glass down and motioned toward the food, "Herb crusted baked chicken, mash potatoes, and asparagus." She reported. She nibbled on her lip a little nervously, taking another sip to try to hide the growing blush on her cheeks. She knew she needed to ask the question before she convinced herself not to. She was really anxious, worried that Pallas would say no, not that she could blame her, it wasn't like the two of them were married. Her eyes darted away, unable to look at the other woman, "Pallas... I... I've been wondering... if you... if you would like... to have a family with me... Imbue... I mean..." She had a feeling she probably should have asked after dinner, so that things wouldn't be awkward if she said no, but the words just kind of spilled out.

Pallas sighed happily. "Sounds as delicious as it smells," she said brightly. She watched Isonoe chew her lip and wondered if something was wrong. The pretty Bakeneko seemed to be nervous and Pallas wasn't sure why she would have a reason to be. Well, not that nervous anyway.
She didn't have to wait long for the reason. She heard the words as they tumbled out of her girlfriend's mouth, but they didn't quite hit her until a couple seconds later. "Imbue?" she asked in a squeak, her heart rate spiking a little. She had never really thought about kids, but kids with Isonoe seemed... well to be honest, it sounded wonderful. She took a sip of wine before speaking again, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I would love that, actually," she blushed.

Isonoe was staring at her glass in nervousness, preparing herself for the worst. Whatever the outcome, she hoped that it wouldn't put a damper on their meal, she didn't want Pallas to feel uncomfortable. She took another sip, and then blinked, feeling butterflies welling up in her stomach. Had she said yes?! She tilted her head, looking at Pallas in the eyes for the first time since she asked the question. "You... you would?!" She bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from exploding in happiness, however, she couldn't help it, she ended up putting her wineglass down and reached over, hugging Pallas. "...Thank you!"

She waited for a moment as her answer took effect, a wide grin beaming out. She loved that she could make Isonoe this happy, her arms wrapping around the other woman as she hugged her tightly. "Of course," she murmured happily. "I'm so glad you asked." She laughed softly, a joyous sound, before leaning back to look in her eyes. "I can't wait to start a family with you." Curving her hand over Isonoe's cheek, she leaned in again to kiss her softly.
"Let's not let this delicious smelling food get cold, shall we?" she said with a laugh. "We can make plans while we eat."
