The last time Callum had been assigned to practice a part on-stage, he hadn't really put too much thought into it. It'd been a sweet, easy part, back home in very rural Oklahoma-- And the place was chock-full of hicks and hill-billies, so there wasn't much competition in the first place. His skills as an actor were simply better-- He knew it, they knew it, and that was why he was there in the first place. Far, far away from his hometown.
But his companions didn't know of his sacrifices. Which made it all the worse when he hadn't been picked the first few weeks he'd volunteered at the theatre near his home. They'd been a bit testy with him, ever since he'd arrived, but hey-- He couldn't help it if the spotlight landed on him more often than not! Then again, It might've helped more if he'd actually tried to take it down a notch, but that was his soul! His dramatically beautiful and tragic soul, troubled from not being chosen by the very profession that spoke to him on a beautiful, personal level. Those other actors couldn't even begin to fathom the lengths he'd go to further his career.
So when he was finally offered a major role-- Even if it'd been only been for a small number one of the other writers thought up-- Callum had been ecstatic. He'd been assigned the part with another-- Some Myles character he'd never personally met before. With eager, excited eyes and enough excitement to fuel a jet plane, the passionate sandy-eyed thespian searched around the theatre for his said partner. He'd heard red-hair, brown... or... honey...? Eyes, kinda pale... Hmm, who fit the bill... Aha! There he... probably was! What a cu-tie. With few quick strides and barely an introduction, Callum swept into a very formal, very over the top bow. "Hello there, Mister Myles. I've heard I've received the absolute pleasure of working with you for the simply marvelous miniature skit we've been so rightfully assigned!" Callum said in a rush, offering a friendly smile. "Would you like to work on that today or tonight or... Sometime soon? I'm positively bursting with inspiration!"

Myles wasn’t entirely a fan of the spotlight; he had played a few very small bit parts, usually in a crowd of other faces, when the theater was running low on actors. Mostly, he worked in the costume department--and he was happy to pour his heart and soul into such craftsmanship.
Myles’ demeanor was confident offstage, but only because he knew what he was doing. Now, he seemed nervous, red faced and wearing an awkward smile. He was holding the script in his hand. He had lowered it when Callum approached.
“Oh--hi!” he greeted. “I guess that makes you Callum?” he asked, though it seemed a bit rhetorical. He held out his hand eagerly. “It’s nice to meet you! Uhm--if you want to practice, I’m good whenever! I don’t quite know my lines yet. I don’t have as many as you, but my role is much smaller. I don’t have a lot of experience with this, so I want to practice a lot! This is my first speaking role,” he confessed. “But you? --You’ve done this a lot, haven’t you? Can you give me some tips?”

Oh goodness he was cute. His nervousness only added to his charm. Callum's smile was wide and welcoming, nodding at his name and sliding his hand into the others, shaking it and squeezing it lightly. "Callum Aherne, at your service." It was then that he stopped holding his hand, pushing his loose curls away from his face and chuckling lightly. "And yes, I've been at this my whole life. I'm way too used to acting, it's almost like I have thousands of "me's" living in me!" He paused a moment for the effect, hair tossed, pose perfect. "It is quite alright. You tend to get used to them after your second or even third speaking role. That you're able to take a role like this, even if it's not very vocal, is quite formidable!" Callum praised, brushing his hair behind his ear and fluttering his lashes. "Maybe I could offer you those tips over a cup of de-lish coffee? On me, of course." A date and practice? It would be killing two birds with one stone!

Myles was smiling still, but there were small signs that he was perhaps holding back a bit. His lips were pressed together tightly and the corners of his lips occasionally twitched. His eyes sparkled with amusement though, and it was immediately clear that Callum's enthusiasm for his role was at least somewhat contagious.
"Well, that sounds very kind of you. I think it would be honor. When would be a good time for that?"
Myles was flexible; with a job from home and few responsibilities beyond some basic chores and a class here or there--getting out with someone sounded like a nice idea. Plus, it might make his brother feel a little better to hear that he was getting out with friends and get him off his back a bit.

Callum could feel his enthusiasm affect the other, bright smile still fairly wide upon his face as he flicked his hair back and giggled. He was very excited, and for him to play his role with a newbie was equally exciting! At his question, his eyelashes fluttered, and the greenhaired young adult released a few chuckles into an open palm. "Now of course, silly! Come on, I know the ab-so-lute best place nearby! Do you have anything to do now?" He asked that, but his hand was already reaching for his coat and jacket, eager to get to know the friendly redhead-- and maybe, slide into his flirting shoes!

Myles blinked and looked around, as if he expected someone to object, but with no one to intervene he turned back to Callum and smiled. He reached for his own coat and shook his head. "No, I don't have anything to do. Are you sure--now?" he asked, but it seemed like they had both already made up their mind--and he was every bit as excited.
Going now meant he didn't have time to get worried about making a bad impression for too much longer. Plus, how could he turn down the the ab-so-lute best place nearby?
