[Area: Down River from the Abandoned Temple]
Blue pelt rippled and as she peered down into the water she stood in, her eyes blurred. She stood so still that the water didn't even move any more. As she inhaled deeply, looking up into the sky, she leaned into the wind as it blew, her eyes closing.
There was something a little sad about the chill of the wind through her fur as it ran along her sides. Something familiar that made her heart ache. She opened her eyes and peering into the water there was a new face there reflecting back at her.
The color of soot, embraced by sky, if it weren't nearly evening, she'd have thought he'd had no mane... but he did. Her heart skipped a beat, then began to hammer. A strange feeling sank through her straight to her core and she trembled where she stood.
Suddenly her flight instinct took hold and she backpedaled out of the water and with a splash, she made her way to shore, turning her head back to look at him once the watering hole was between them.
Her chest heaved as she stood gazing at him. He was unfamiliar to her but in the embrace of the wind with the scent of rain and mint lingering in the air from the lands not far from the Rogueland borders, there was a sense of knowing. Instinctual and stronger than words could name.
"My name is Ninlil... who are you?" she called to him.
