Pyrrhus wasn't expecting company. Noises of hoofbeats on hard stone echo further into the series of caverns where he resides. His ears swivel as he locks in on the sounds. Whoever is here is somewhat noisy.. And he isn't sure what to think on the fact someone.. well some others are in his caves.. He considers going further into the caves but decides he has to see for himself whom decided to enter his home. Moving closer he figures his hoofbeats would sort of be hidden by the clatter of the others hooves. After all he is only one stallion. The darkness becomes lighter as he moves through the darkness. His fire easily giving him the light needed to navigate towards the outer caverns. Though he stops when he gets to outer space where there is a pool of water that a settles there. A stream trickling from above and settling in a pool of water as it gradually goes into the reservoir below. A deep voice and a lighter voice.. Male and female? Two males? He doesn't know. But he doesn't dare approach any further.

Nahele shifted uncomfortably from hoof to hoof as he watched his sister writhe in the agony that was the birthing process. He'd only recently reconnected with her but in that time period he'd had a great deal explained to him and realized that a lot of his life was spent in meaningless hatred for a sister who'd done nothing but love him, and now he had the scars to prove it, but he also had a new lease on life.
Carefully he nuzzled his sister letting her know he was there and that she would get through this. He laid his ears back thinking about what that horrible creature had don't to her and even felt a rumbling growl rise in his throat before he cut it off.
It was then that he registered a very faint flickering light out of the corner of his eye. Fire? No it couldn't be... He turned and with a look at both of their familiars to let him know where he was going he moved closer to the source.

Pyrrhus stands there in the dark.. Well as dark as it could be around him anyway. Unaware of the fact he had been spotted. His thoughts are in disarray as he tries to figure out whether he should look into and be friendly. Or hide and just stick to the darkest parts of the cavern system. Both are very good options. Though the first would be the more polite option. The one with the lighter voice sounds almost as if they are in pain.. Are they hurt? It isn't like he could really help. But he feels bad that one is in pain. Filled with indecision he starts to shift his weight from one side to the other. "What to do..."

Nahele skirted around the water as he sought the source of the flickering light. Was there someone in here? Would it be someone who might hurt his sibling? These were questions that needed answering and so he continued, albeit carefully so as not to spook anything into attacking him. Finally he reached a side tunnel and stuck his nose into it curious about what lay inside it, only the find himself coming nearly nose to nose with a slightly smaller but rather bright Soquili who had a wreath of flames about his neck. Nahele stepped back slightly, at first startled by the other but he quickly got over it an examined the other male. Darker tones, black or brown? Scales a fur tipped tail, and bright eyes. Shaking his head he spoke up, "My apologies... I didn't know anyone else was in here!"

Pyrrhus lets out a startled sound as suddenly another is right nose to nose with him. Skittering back his heartbeat speeds up. "Oh! I.. Uh.. Well.. um.. Thanks.. I was wondering who entered my caverns.." He looks at the other and watches the other warily. Will the other try to hurt him? The other is standing still right now.. but he doesn't want to be caught off guard again. " Is your companion alright? They sound as if in pain? Were they wounded?" Green stallion.. green eyes with black around them. Interesting stallion at least. It's been a while since he crossed paths with another soquili.

"I'm very sorry for startling you." Nahele started off gently, making sure not to move as he could tell the other was a skittish sort, but he couldn't help but look back at the entrance. "Ah, that would be my sister making all the noise, she's gone into labor as we were searching for a midwife. Hopefully our friend Wolfheart has found one and is on his way back." He sighed heavily worried for Leilani and hoping that Tsaheylu hadn't tracked them down yet. It had been a long two months since he'd arrived in these lands, beckoned by an unknown force.

Taking a moment to even his breathing he slowly gives a nod."It's okay.. It was bound to happen at some point." He watches the other. Ears flicking back and forth. Listening to the sounds. He couldn't help but be surprised by what the other said.. This stallions sister.. was having kids.. In his caverns. That is definitely a first. He can tell the other is worried. The sigh and the look in the others green eye only able to be seen from his fire giving him light enough to see the other fairly well. "I hope that her labor goes smoothly and that there aren't.. any complications.. Hopefully your friend gets back in time.... If.. you all need a place to stay til the foals are ready to travel.. You may use the outer cavern and this cavern here... These two get the most light.." He looks up where there are little patches of light coming from what seems like leaves. "The little cover can be moved to let the light in.. But the caverns that lie beyond these two have no way for light to get in.. So I would stay in the outer two..."

Nahele committed the others words to his memory about the caverns. Having a place to stay while the foals get their legs would be very useful but at the same time a wariness crept into his mind. He didn't want to bring the trouble of a skinwalker to this place, and definitely wasn't sure if Tsaheylu was still searching for them... "While the offer of a place to stay is very tempting, we are sadly running from a very dangerous sort... My sister accidentally got herself caught by a Skinwalker and these are his children. We aren't sure if he's still after us but we fear he is." A heavy sigh, "I would not wish to bring such trouble to you after you've been so welcoming to us."

Pyrrhus looks at the other and frowns." Well.. That is very disturbing news indeed. I can see how that could be a very stressful situation. Though the offer still stands. Even if it is only til the children come out of their baskets." He looks around." These caverns can be a maze at times.. From one side to the other with various dead ends.. Could be confusing to one if they are chasing someone.. Especially if they don't have light that can show the way.." He remembers looking through every different tunnel. Going from one dead end to another. Memorizing and making a plan on if he was chased.. Perhaps he could help if such a situation rose

Nahele couldn't help the shock that crossed his features. This stallion he'd only just met after they'd invaded his home was willing to risk the wrath of a skinwalker! He lowered his head in a small bow before saying, "You are too kind and I am utterly humbled by your offer. We will ensure not to stay too long or encroach upon your privacy." He smiled suddenly and continued, "I've just realized that I never gave you my name! Goodness the stress of this situation with my sister has apparently turned me into a barbarian. I offer my apologies and my name, which is Nahele." A stray lock of hair escaped the knot holding it back and fluttered onto his brow as he finished speaking.

Pyrrhus watches the other and nods."As I said. I don't mind the company for however long is needed. It might actually be nice to not be alone for a time." It's been a while since another had entered his caves. His copperish eyes widen and he blushes." OH! Well it is nice to meet you Nahele.. I.. I'm Pyrrhus." His eyes catch onto the hair and he holds himself back from moving it. "I don't know if you would have any candles or the like.. but.. if you did.. we could set up a trail of light to the pool of water so neither of you would have to go far for water.." He doesn't really know what else to say but all he knows is he feels shy and very meek right now.

Nahele listened closely to Pyrrhus before replying, "I think we may have some candles in our packs. Our guide, Wolfheart, who has gone for a midwife for my sister packed a plethora of things we might need." He almost walked over to see to them before realizing that would be absolutely rude! "I will have to set those up later and get them lit. Though Leilani is still dealing with birthing pains I don't think the babies are quite ready to come yet, so having a trail to the water will be lovely. I feel she will need the water quite a bit." He bit his lip as a particulary painful cry rent the air from the cave entrance. Blinking slowly and breathing evenly he made sure not to react to it. He hated to hear his sister in pain.

Pyrrhus listens and nods." It is always nice to be prepared." He chuckles and moves forwards." I can help with the lighting part. And that might be a good thing to start doing. I will try to make sure I am not too close." He hears the cry and winces. He doesn't envy mares.. Birth sounds painful and he isn't sure he could deal with that pain. So in a way he is grateful he is a guy." Come. Let's see if we can find those candles and set them up.Before night comes."

Nahele nods his head before turning to walk with Pyrrhus back out to where his sister is and the packs are at. "We will have to go towards where my sister is currently lying down to go to the packs, so you may want to prepare yourself. She's likely not to be in a very good mood." He chuckled a bit since he was sure she'd be so out of it she wouldn't even notice. "Sometimes I wonder what I was doing coming to find her, but I am glad it happened." He smiled shyly at Pyrrhus and huffed out a lower laugh than his previous chuckle, "I lived on an island before this and plyed my services as a mercenary for a long time, then some force drew me to these lands and my sister. Something I still cannot explain." He didn't know why he was opening up to the other stallion but he felt oddly at home near him, and felt a odd flip flopping sensation when he looked into those solemn yet beautiful eyes.
