(Back dating this to Tuesday, October the 18th.)

Quote:
It had started out as something so small, though baffling at the time. The first day of classes at Destiny City University and Seung had been walking into his Japanese language class, wanting to take something easy as Terry wanted him to relax a bit and not dive right into things like he had been prepared to do. japanese was a language he already knew, very well, so it would be easy and without much effort or work needed from him, certainly no studying would be needed. He could read, write and speak the language already, though he was still working on his English skills.

He’d just walked in, had been taking off his messenger bag, when some girl had run up to him, in some short quick little pace, and tried to hug him while calling out senpai. He knew the word, he did know the language, but to call him that and to try and hug him? he’d stepped back and put space between them before addressing her.

As the next few weeks went on he discovered she was a massive anime fan, something he sort of expected with how she’d acted toward him the moment he’d gotten into the classroom. She paired up with him on speech practice, thankfully the professor seemed to understand his lack of comfort around her but didn’t do anything. It was likely due to the professor being Japanese that the man had understood Seung’s unease with the girl, when things had come to a small head. There had also been the time, after class, that his professor had wanted to know what his skill level was with the language, which he’d explained. He’d also explained that he had to take this basic class before he could take the next one and the one beyond that and so on and so forth, he didn’t mention Terry wanting him to take his first semester easy. The man had understood and after that they’d gotten along and there was a sort of friendship there. So he figured it was because of that, and the understanding of similar cultures, that the two of them got on well and he noted the man's eyes on Hannah several times.

Either way though the girl, Hannah, continued to try and cling to him and sit near him, stand near him, talk to him and tried to learn about him and if he shared interests with her. He’d hoped telling her he wasn’t Japanese, but rather Korean, would get her to back off, as she seemed to want to date someone who was Japanese if the cuteness she tried to pour on was any indication.

After that it seemed that while her focus was still on their class, and passing it, and she still loved Japanese culture she had apparently been doing her research on Korean culture as she had started to call him oppa. Not only that but she started with other things, mostly music and asking about his makeup and hair style as well as his clothing. She was trying, and failing, to interest him and he was doing a good job of ignoring her at this point. She liked to join him at lunch also, with all her anime friends, and make it difficult for him to escape her.

Her friends had even started to learn about Korean culture, he really...had no words for it. He got to escape them whenever Terry was free and could join him for lunch. That wasn’t the most common of things though and he found himself stuck between her group, somewhere in the middle, with them all talking to him and questioning him on various topics.

All that had come crashing down though. He knew it was her, his parents had told him all he’d needed to know in order to know it was her fault. She had apparently seen him out with Terry and had taken pictures of them - pictures she had shown his parents. How she knew who they were, or where to find them, was beyond him. She had done it though...she had shown them pictures, and told them things - made up things, which he couldn’t lie his way out of. He’d tried, and he had tried really hard, but his parents had questioned why she would lie? He knew why, or had a good idea as to why.

The shouting match which had ensued had been one sided. His father shouting, his mother between shouting and sobbing, and him just bowing his head and answering in a quiet voice as he was told how much shame he had brought onto his family and that he had caught some illness from these American’s. He’d stood up for himself, for the first time, whispering that it wasn’t the people here but he’d been like this back home also. He talked about it, worded it, like he was talking about an illness as well but he knew he wasn’t. it was just who he was, and he had long ago accepted it.

As the yelling, and sobbing, continued with his father telling him what a shame he was, how dishonorable his choices were they said one thing which calmed him - they wouldn’t tell the rest of the family. If only because they didn’t want to hurt anyone else, to dishonor them and sadden them, he accepted it and bowed as low as he could while thanking his parents for the decision to spare others this shame. It wasn’t for that reason he thanked his father, or that he was happy with the choice, it was because he would still be able to talk to his family and be accepted by them.

It all came crashing down then with his father's next few sentences. Already sporting a red cheek and still feeling like he might be ill, his father informed him that he wasn’t to have contact with his sister - he might taint her with his filth and make her like him. He wasn’t to have contact with other family members, they would find a reason for him to miss the holidays, and the worst part soon came. His father told him to pack what he could and leave and that he didn’t care where he went - he was being thrown out.

His mother, still sobbing and holding a tissue to her red nose, managed to tell him that they would support him in finishing school. They could not however allow him in their home, he was a shameful son and his behavior was not allowed. When he got better, as if he was sick, he would welcome back. They would support him in school because he would make something of himself, for when he got better and went to start a family. He knew that would never happen - a family...but he didn’t say anything...there was nothing to say. He just bowed even deeper to his parents, tears stinging his red rimmed eyes.

A stiff nod from Seung and he shuffled, head still down, to his room to pack the two suitcases he had and another two bags. Clothing went into one suitcase, enough for a few days at least. Face products, of various kinds, went into a bag. His airbook joined the products in the same bag. Shoes went into a suitcase and books went into the other bag. He grabbed what he could, hoping he could sneak in at some point and take the rest. He’d hoped he didn’t have to turn over his house key so he could do this.

Calling out to Yeong he watched the dog come into his room. Petting him gently he went to get his leash and harness and set that up so he could take Yeong with him...though to where he didn’t know. His hands shook as he finished packing his things before he went to get the dog food and bowls for Yeong and put them into his luggage as well. Toys followed, put into a plastic bag, and treats. He hadn’t a clue where to go and by now felt like curling up somewhere and being sick. The shakes wracked him as he took hold of the leash and with a messanger bag and a duffle bag over his shoulder, weighing it down, he managed to get everything out the door as his cousin was permitted to help him so he could be out sooner rather than later. With everything, including himself and Yeong, out on the street he wondered what to do and where to go now. He couldn’t manage all the luggage on his own along with Yeong and holding the leash for the jindo dog.

He had no idea that his cousin had, at some point, copied the phone numbers for his friends onto her phone and was sending a text to Terry letting him know that her cousin had just been thrown out of the house and had nowhere to go.

It was cold out, thankfully he had a coat and sweater on, but for how long would he stand here? Where could he go? And how to get there? Finally he let his knees give out and was sitting on the ground with a dog in his lap who seemed to understand the gravity of their current situation, or he just understood his master was upset. Alternating between petting and hugging the dog he pressed his face to the top of the others head whispering things, what would they do, who would take them in and where would they live. He apologized many times and that this should not be a punishment for them both but he didn’t want to leave Yeong and that it was selfish of him to want to take him into this. He asked for the jindo’s permission to be selfish and greedy, to understand it.

He felt for what he had done to his parents, he had never wanted to. He had tried not to and tried to keep them from ever finding out. They never would have found out if that girl hadn’t, without him knowing, seen him out with Terry and realized they were a couple. She had for whatever reason, he couldn’t even fathom why, decided to tell his parents. His father had said the girl had told them because she was worried for him, she understood it might be shameful to his family and they should know. That couldn’t be why...there had to be more to it.

Quote:
Terry had just gotten home when he received the text and had been heading up to his room to drop off his bag so it took him a moment to read it. When he did however he stared in surprise for a heartbeat then rushed down the stairs. He spared a moment to ask permission to borrow his Mother’s car, telling her he would explain later, then continued his rush out of the house. On the drive to Seung’s house, he pushed the speed limit a bit but was sure to stay within safe speeds as he didn’t want to cause an accident, so it didn’t take him long to reach the neighborhood the other lived in. Or previously in this case he supposed. He slowed down when he turned onto the street and came to a stop completely off to the side where he spotted Seung crouching down hugging Yeong. Once the car was parked he got out and walked over to them and knelt, putting a hand on his boyfriend’s shoulder. “Seung?” He started to catch his attention but wasn’t sure what to say after.

Quote:
He hadn’t told Terry much about the girl, since he’d been ignoring her mostly, he’d thought it was good and safe. There was no need to involve the other, what could Terry do anyway? He didn’t want some fight between the two or Terry to confront the girl, he had a feeling she might be a bit unstable...she had proven him correct with what she’d done. Hearing the other's voice his head lifted slowly, dark eyes watery and droplets clinging to wet lashes. His arms still about Yeong he stared up at the other, surprise and so many other feelings filling him right now.

He figured how the other knew though - his cousin. He silently thanked her but now what? What could Terry do? “She told you?” He questioned, referring to his cousin. “Where can we go?” He asked sounding more lost than he had ever been before, and he was. At least when moving here he had his family - a home. He had a place but now..there was no place. He couldn’t even use the funds he’d saved from work and return to Korea. His parents might tell his family, he didn’t know what they’d do if he contacted his family or visited - much less tried to move in.

Quote:
Terry’s heart broke seeing the tears and sadness in Seung’s eyes. He wanted nothing more than to bring back the happiness but knew that could be a while after this. “Yes, she sent me a text.” He said then reached over with his free hand to cup the other’s face and wipe a tear away with his thumb. “You’re coming back with me. Anything else can be figured out later but for now I’m taking you home.” He soothed with a sad smile. He pulled the other into a hug, careful of the puppy between them.

Quote:
He’d have to thank his cousin somehow, maybe when he snuck in to get the rest of his things. It would be the best time to leave a note somewhere in her room, maybe a small something else? He didn’t know but he owed her a thank you for this, he hadn’t wanted to pull Terry into this, if not for his cousin he wouldn’t have called or texted the other. He’d have stayed here till he managed to find a way to get all this things and get down the street and then started a search for somewhere to stay. He knew they had shelters in the city but where he didn’t know and if they’d allow a dog he also didn’t know.

“Parents will be ok with it?” He asked. He knew he wasn’t bringing a lot with him but he was bringing a puppy and who knew how long he’d be staying with the other, how long till he could find a place to stay and live? “Can’t go home...can’t contact family back home...or visit.” And a holiday was coming up, he’d have been going but now...now what? His father would likely find an excuse, as he said he would, and cancel his plane ticket and hotel room. He still wanted to go...it felt right to at least be home for it...but home alone. It was a sudden break from his family and it hurt - a lot.

“They found out...about me...and that I am dating…” The words were choked on as he shook and leaned into the other, being ever mindful of Yeong who seemed to get it and whined and whimpered from his lap.

Quote:
Terry hugged him tighter and nodded his head. “They will be fine with it.” They both would understand he knew and he also knew if Seung tried to double check later they would be likely to tell him to stay for as long as he needed. “I’m sorry.” He couldn’t help but feel partially responsible for the others pain after finding out why he was thrown out and denied contact with the rest of his family. He started to stroke Seung’s hair and pressed kisses to his head in comfort. On one hand he wanted to tell the other to not give up hope completely and that maybe there would be a way around this without hurting anyone else but on the other hand he didn’t want to lie to him if it turned out there wasn’t a way. “Come on, let’s get you home, I promise I won't let you go through this on your one, no matter what.” That was something he could at least promise.

Quote:
Nodding he slowly got up, holding onto Yeong’s leash, and shifted the bags which hung from his shoulders. “Ok…” He knew the others family would be ok with him turning up tonight...but for several days and nights? Would they get tired of him? Want him to leave? If so then where would he go? He had some money saved up but not enough to do anything with it.

The others car was easy to locate and he shuffled toward it, having also taken hold of one of his pieces of luggage. He was figuring he’d get the one into the car, and his bags, before getting Yeong into the car before grabbing the other piece of luggage.

Quote:
Terry stood up then helped Seung move his luggage into the car by grabbing what the other couldn’t carry. When they were by the car he opened the trunk and tucked it all inside, including what the other male was carrying, then shut the trunk. The younger man then gently lead Seung to the passenger door and opened it to let him and Yeong inside. “I’m sure Ace will be happy to have a playmate.” He said, not quite trying to cheer the other up but more in an attempt to not let him drown in his thoughts. He had no experience with this, couldn’t fathom what his boyfriend was going through, but he was hoping he wouldn’t end up doing or saying the wrong thing and making it worse.

Quote:
Allowing the other to load the car with his things, he sort of stood there staring, he got into the passenger side when the door was opened. Calling Yeong to jump into his lap he buckled up and waited for Terry to get into the car. Leaning toward the other he stared up at him, his arms wrapped about Yeong. “Girl in my class told my parents...she had pictures...and lied about things.” He hadn’t told him about the girl and maybe he should have? But still...what could Terry have done but perhaps bring this about sooner? The girl was obviously unstable as she had done this upon seeing them together. If Terry told her to back off, claimed Seung to be his, she’d have gone to his parents all that much sooner….at least he’d have had warning though? Still he knew there would have been nothing Terry could have done. Now what though when he went to class next?

What about the trip home? He still did want to go, maybe now more than ever as being home would offer some comfort even without his family - which would hurt. Damn it...he was torn.

Quote:
“Why would she do that?” Terry asked as he got into the car, brow furrowing. Why would anyone do something like this? What would have been her motive? He buckled up then turned to face Seung and took his hand, rubbing his thumb back and forth over his knuckles in comfort. He didn’t start the car just yet and instead waited to see if the other wanted to talk so he could give him his undivided attention, though if the other wasn’t ready or it looked like staying around the neighborhood for an extra moment was worse for him he would head home quickly.

Quote:
“Long story...started first day of semester. Didn’t think this would happen.” Explaining that he pointed to the road. “Can go, I’ll explain on the way.” And he would, slowly though. He still didn’t grasp it all himself. “You know only some of what happened - didn’t want to tell you all...busy with school also.” Plus there was their life as knights. He really hadn’t wanted to add more to Terry’s plate, at least not more than possible. It wouldn’t be fair to the other to toss more onto his plate, and wasn’t he enough on his own already?

“First day of class, just walking in, she called senpai - you know this?” As he did watch anime, so he should know the term. “Corrected her, I’m not Japanese - I’m Korean. She sat next to me, asking about me...trying to connect over things. Next class calls me oppa.” Which while it was correct it was also very odd, for someone he didn’t know so well. He had also explained oppa to Terry and it’s use, a long time ago in fact.

“Soon was trying to talk about popular Korean things...and what was like back home. Always sitting by me...clinging and then sitting with me at lunch - with friends. Friends like her, soon started to talk about the same and questions. Fans...but too much fans.” Obsessive at least to him, maybe it was just him not being able to handle such? He didn’t think so though, it had bothered and unsettled him, he was sure Terry wouldn’t think he’d overreacted.

“Kept asking me out. I told you, you saw her and friends at lunch that day. Didn’t tell you that I wanted to run away...that it was not new and unwanted.” Not until now anyway. Now he was telling Terry everything as he sat in the car next to the other. He hadn’t told him how it affected him and how…much had been going on.

“Took your advice...it kept her away in class but not at lunch. Wound up like paranoid - looking for her around campus.” As if she might just appear, or in case she was following him. He honestly wasn’t sure what to think of her or her friends, as he didn’t trust them either. “Somehow she saw me and parents out...and saw us another time - together. She saw parents again, just them.”

Quote:
Terry nodded in understanding then got them going, while he kept his eyes on the road he did keep holding Seung’s hand as he listened. He frowned as Seung explained what was going on. While he was glad the other had listened to him about taking it easy, he felt bad for indirectly causing this mess. “She sounds like she was heading towards dangerous stalker territory.” He said and squeezed the other’s hand. He would have to make plans later on to deal with her in some way, maybe report her for stalking and harassment to the college and go from there, but for now he kept his attention split only by the road and on Seung.

Quote:
“But why…?” He asked not fully understanding. He did have an idea but was it really because he was Asian and she was so in love with...the culture, the media, or something else? Was it that which fueled some need to cling to Asian people and a need to date one? At least he thought it was a need to date one, like himself, because of their race. But why? She didn’t even know about his culture, just Japanese, until he’d told her otherwise and she’d started looking things up. Why such an obsession? So it wasn’t his culture but just the fact he was Asian, any oriental male would do? So long as they had the right features - she would learn their culture. Shaking his head he ran his fingers through his streaked hair.

“Told my parents she was letting them know of my shameful ways so they could protect the family honor…” He said then after some moments of silence. She understood that at least but had she a clue they’d throw him out? Did she even care? Or did she think he’d end things and right himself and then what? Date her? She wasn’t Korean! His parents would have likely had an issue, to some degree, with any American he dated - male or female.

Quote:
“I don’t know, sometimes people just get an idea in their head and obsess over it.” Terry said with a frown. The more he thought about it, the more it sounded like the girl needed help of the professional kind. He gave Seung’s hand another squeeze when he mentioned her ‘intentions’. “I’m sorry.” He said again. Once again he was at a loss of what to do other than to listen and be there for the other. They were getting closer to his house and he fully planned to get him inside and cuddle him for a while, maybe with a hot drink.

Quote:
While he hadn’t planned on letting Terry know about it, figuring it was done with - he was ignoring her. If he were to find out the other had plans...he'd support it...what else did he have to lose? “Didn’t say they would stop paying for university...or support me...just not allowed in home...or talk to family or see family.” Which he honestly didn’t know which was worse...no financial support or no family connection. Both were bad...but maybe he had Terry’s family and that would work? It would be ok..but the food and language from home and the talks or places, things, experiences. None of it could be replaced.

Some girl who had an obsession had taken so much from him with one single insidious action and would she care? Would she ever know? He wasn’t sure he could confront her when he saw her in school in a few days. “Have class with her Thursday.” And it was Tuesday now...he’d had class with her earlier, before she’d talked to his parents. She had come to class already planning this and had smiled and tried to cling to him again. Oh god...he wanted to shudder at that.

Quote:
“If they stop supporting you then we can work it out.” Terry promised. There were many different scholarships Seung could try to go for and if nothing else there were job possibilities, he was certain that his parents wouldn’t kick him out nor ask him for rent. He didn’t want the other to worry about college right now but at the same time he wasn’t sure if focusing on something else would also help him. His eyes narrowed as a couple different ideas ran through his mind when Seung mentioned he had class with the stalker on Thursday. “Do you want to skip class that day? I’m sure your teacher will understand.” If Seung did go to class however, he would skip his own and go with him. Possibly with college security in tow if he could manage it.

Quote:
“No...my grades...would be bad. But...she was nice today in class, before the incident with my parents. She tried to cling, oppa this and oppa that, was all smiles and aegyo…Very happy and...nice.” But creepy nice. She hadn’t showed any malicious signs today or any smug looks or anything else. He hadn’t expected what had happened, or that she would do anything to him like this. He had thought it would remain in the classroom and on campus.

“Won’t be comfortable with her in class..” He finally admitted. How could he be?If she came up to him in class Thursday...or if she got smug with him? Or something else, tried to pick him up thinking he’d been forced to leave Terry. Did he tell her? Did he not? Did he hit her? He didn’t know, though he didn’t really want her to know but in a way he wanted to rub it into her nose what she’d caused...that she hadn’t thought about it properly and had hurt him and turned him so against her. But he also didn’t want her to know and be smug...or try and coddle him over the loss - like a friend. He didn’t know how he’d react also, without thinking, when he saw her and he didn’t like not being able to predict how he’d behave.

Quote:
Terry shook his head while keeping his eyes on the road. “If you miss one day of class your grades won’t go down. I’m sure your teacher explained you can miss up to three days without repercussions at least, provided it’s not a testing day unless notified.” He said as he pulled onto his street. “But if you want to go to class I’m coming with you. You won’t have to talk to her and I’ll make sure she won’t touch you. It’s up to you which option you pick and if you decide to not go to next class I’ll come with you next week.” He glanced over to him and gave a small reassuring smile. “You have time to think about it so don’t decide right away.” The other male probably noticed that Terry had not made his coming to class with him a matter of question and instead a fact.

Quote:
“Have to face her eventually...before or after vacation.” He couldn’t miss every day between now and the end of semester, he’d have exams and a project he had to do. “Best maybe now before holiday vacation.” Get it out of the way so it didn’t loom over the whole holiday break and spoil it, as he was sure it would. Squeezing the other's hand he shifted and rested his lips against the other's hand for a moment.

“Thank you for saying you’ll come also. Don’t know what I will do...how I’ll feel...I can think one thing and be wrong when seeing her.” He couldn’t predict it, not with all the emotions and everything…

Quote:
Terry nodded in both agreement and understanding. Not to mention if Seung had other classes on campus she could possibly track him down then. “If you think that’s best then we can do that.” He said as he pulled into the driveway and parked the car. He unbuckled and turned in his seat to give the other a small smile. “No problem. I promise you won’t be alone in this, I’ll be with you every step of the way.” He reached his now free hand to cup Seung’s cheek. His promise was obviously for more than just dealing with the stalker girl though.

Quote:
Unbuckling himself once they were parked in the others driveway he shifted, sitting sideways with Yeong in his lap. Leaning into the other's touch he nodded slowly. “Don’t know what I can do…” He didn’t know all the rules on campus and policies much less laws beyond it. He didn’t know what he could or couldn’t do, he had no reason to think he’d ever need such or be in a position like this. He was clueless in this instance. “Help me find out what to do….” He whispered and moved forward, ever mindful of the puppy, and pressed a short and light kiss to the others lips.

“Should get in and speak with your parents…” Explain things to them and see what they said and what they’d allow. That would help as they’d know what would be going on and could plan accordingly. Then he could go have a breakdown at some point, he felt ill and shaky still and he was fairly certain if he tried to hold either hand out straight it would in fact shake like a leaf.

Quote:
Terry kissed him back and stroked his cheek with his thumb. “I will. We can look at the rules and laws for the campus tomorrow.” He said with a nod. He was not about to let the other stumble around in the dark. Not in this and not in anything else if he had any say so. They would use today to get him settled in and then tomorrow they could worry about other things like dealing with the girl and potential other ways for him to pay for school to be prepared if his parents did cut him off. He gave another nod at the others words and pulled back to unlock the car and pop the trunk. “Come on, I’ll grab most of your bags for you so you can focus on Yeong.” He said as he got out of the car and went to grab the bags out of the trunk. He wasn’t worried about what his parents would say and he hoped that his earlier reassurances were helping Seung not to worry as much about it.

Quote:
Nodding his head to the others words, they could look at rules tomorrow, he got out of the car slowly, Yeong in his arms licking his face as he jostled the pup when he got out of the car. Heading for the others front door he looked back at Terry. He really owed him a lot for this...this meant a lot for him. Standing in front of the door to the others home he waited, watching Terry over his shoulder. He felt safe, for now, and like he wasn’t so lost while still being lost...like he had been adrift but washed up on another island - on that was nice and sunny...but not as nice as the other. But close.

“Thank you Terry…” He hoped the other knew how much it meant to him, he was sure it could be heard in his voice...but would the other understand?

Quote:
Terry pulled the bags out of the trunk then closed it and picked the bags back up. He carried them over to where Seung was standing just as the other thanked him. “You’re welcome.” He said. He understood what the other meant, what was encompassed with that thank you and his own words were filled with the promises he made and fully planned to keep. He came to a stop in front of him and the door then leaned over and pressed his forehead against Seung’s. “You won’t be alone.” He repeated again and he would keep on repeating it until he was sure that the other understood he meant it fully.

Quote:
He knew it but...it was so just...empty feeling and lost not to mention how unsure he felt. Closing his eyes as the other's forehead rested against his he inhaled slowly. “Thank you.” Again he was thankful for the others help, he just hoped the girl could be handled and he could move on. He wasn’t going to have his family but he could have something - he would try for that. He would try to keep whatever he could get and let Terry be the support he needed and help him, as well as the others family. “Time to go in...cold out.” He whispered softly.

Quote:
Terry gave a hum in agreement but didn’t move for a moment. He pressed a soft kiss on Seung’s forehead as he pulled back though before opening the door and gesturing for the other to go on in before him. He wanted to make sure that he kept warm and not having to deal with the cold on top of everything else. Once Seung was in he followed behind him and shut the door. “Let’s go put these up in my room and we can talk to my parents after alright?” He suggested.

Quote:
Nodding his head he let Yeong down onto the floor, seeing as the puppy had spotted a certain munchkin cat, and he watched the jindo pup take off after the cat. Shaking his head, managing a short and brief laugh. Taking some of his things from Terry he headed up the familiar stairs to the others room. “Family meeting of sorts?” He asked looking back at the other. This should, and would likely, be a family discussion on what to do and what had happened to him.

Biting down on his bottom lip he hoped it would go well, though he knew the other's parents did really like him. Hopefully that would work in his favor and they were open minded as well, they accepted Terry .

Quote:
Terry smiled as the cat happily joined the pup in play, picking up where they had left off last time they had seen one another. He then followed Seung up to his room with the remaining luggage. “Yes. At the very least between my parents and us if Matt isn’t home yet.” He more than likely was though. He gave Seung another reassuring smile when he looked back. It didn’t take long for them to drop off the bags in his room and before they went downstairs to find his parents, Terry pulled his boyfriend into a hug. “Everything will work out in some way.”

Quote:
With his hands finally not full and somewhere other than the street and a car he was able to just cling to the other. Cling and rest his head on the others shoulder as he shook. Holding back his emotions, he had to talk to Terry’s parents first, he lifted his head slowly. “I think so...some anyway. Don’t think it will with parents…” No, he really didn’t think that would work out. Biting down on his bottom lip he shook his head. “Need to think ahead...have to survive and go on...” He couldn’t let this hurt him more than it already was, he couldn’t add to it. Though he felt old, but familiar, feelings creeping in around him tugging him down. He had to move on through.

“Parents both home...should go down and talk to them now.”

Quote:
Terry held him close and rubbed his back with one hand. If the other needed to let some of the build up out first he wouldn’t blame him and they could always talk to his family later if need be. “I don’t know. I can’t promise anything with them at least, but don’t give up hope for all of your family alright?” There might be a way around not being able to contact them. He kissed the other on the cheek then nodded. “And I’ll help you in any way I can and you need me too.” He held him a few moments longer even after mention of his parents before he partially pulled away, keeping at least one arm around Seung, and lead him down to his parents study.

Quote:
“Won’t...cousin is good and sister.” He hoped his cousin would tell his sister. He didn’t know if they’d get in touch with him or how. But he had a feeling they’d manage it somehow. He was also equally sure his parents would keep tabs on his cousin to make sure she didn’t contact him. And if she did, if he contacted anyone, he didn’t know what they’d do.

“Will keep that in mind...I’ll need it.” He whispered softly, taking hold of the others hand and lacing their fingers together. “Just...don’t let this burden you too much…” He didn’t want the other to become upset, or stressed, or in some way come to see Seung and his problems, and this problem, to be too much and leave him. This was a big thing, not something little, and a test perhaps. Lesser things did end relationships - right?

Walking along side the other, fingers laced together and an arm about him, he was nervous, shaking, and leaning heavily on the other.

Quote:
“Good, at least you can talk to them sometime in the future.” He was sure there was some way, even if they had to come up with a pretend ‘friend’ to be able to send messages back and forth. He paused them when Seung asked him to not let this overburden him then turned to look at him directly. “You will never be a burden.” He said seriously. Yes he knew that this would end up being tough for them both but he wouldn’t let it end up getting between them easily. He hadn’t thought of Seung as a burden before when he was on the lookout for bad habits, he wouldn’t think of him as one now when he needed help.

Quote:
Yes, he hoped he would be able to. It was bad enough he would likely not be able to with the rest of his family. He didn’t know what but he was sure his parents would say something to the rest of the family. The older ones, aunts and uncles and his grandmother and grandfather, would obey and not talk to him. They likely wouldn’t question it either, or they would get some sort of lie told to them. His cousins, being younger and of his generations, might rebel and keep it hidden as they did so. They might accept him if they reached out and he explained things. But he didn’t know if they would or who of his cousins would. Time would tell he supposed.

Nodding slowly he found himself blinking back tears. “Hope not...if so tell me...don’t want to hurt you with this or anything.” He spoke softly, sincerely. Reaching up then to knock on the door in front of them leading to the office that his parents would be in.

Quote:
Terry gave a nod but still had no plan on letting it become a burden in his eyes. He kept his arm around Seung as the other knocked on his parents study then opened the door when he heard his Mom call for them to come in. When she spotted them, Julie gave them both a motherly smile only to pause when she took in what they looked like. “What happened?” She asked then gestured to the couch. “Sit down and you can tell me. Nathan will be back in a moment he just had to grab some papers from the bedroom for tomorrow.”

Terry gave a nod then lead Seung over to the couch and sat down, pulling the other with him but letting him choose how he sat. “It would probably be best to wait for Dad to come back in before we start.” He said in return to his Mom only for his Dad to walk in with some papers in hand. “Hello boys.” He gave them a smile as he sat the papers on his desk but like Julie caught something was up quickly.

Quote:
Nodding his head he managed a half smile in greeting, bowing as well, before she was pausing and sending him to sit down on the couch. Seating himself, with Terry, he leaned into the others side and nodded once more. “Yes, would be best - lot to talk about...and best to do it once.” He wasn’t sure he could go over it a second time.

Seeing the other's father come in, and as he seemed to figure something out, he sighed. “I took Japanese 101 this semester, easy since I know it already. A girl in there, on the first day, tried to cling to me and used a Japanese term on me...one you’d not know. But it would be something you might call someone you had a crush on. She continued this until I told her I was not Japanese, rather Korean. She learn the equivalent for it in my language and continued her behavior..” Biting his lip he tossed his fall of blond dyed hair from his face and licked his bottom lip. “Tried to partner with me for speech practice, professor stopped her most of the time understanding the crush she seems to harbor. Can only guess because of being Asian...no other reason.” He spoke hoping they understood how it had been for him. “Tried to find things in common. When she thought was Japanese it was anime and fashion.” Since his style of clothing did stand out, like now. “When she found out Korean….kpop and korean dramas.” Which he’d shown a few to Terry’s mother, as well as restocking her on facial products.

“Tried to find things in common and played...cute - aegyo. Cute look and high voice...oppa.” He said trying to explain it all in a way people who didn’t know anime or his culture might understand best. “Ignored her...hoping to stop it, she would get the idea. Today went to class and it was...the same. Got home and found out she had seen my parents...she had pictures of us.” Nodding his head to Terry. “On date...she found my parents and showed them. Wanted them to know of my dishonor...and shame...to protect my family. Got home and parents were there...Mother cried and shouted and father shouted…” His hand clenched down on Terry’s as he took a shuddering breath and tried to calm himself, but he felt like he’d be ill soon and how could he not?

“Cannot go home, thrown out. Cannot contact family back in Korea or visit...holiday is soon...was supposed to go .Father will explain away why I won’t be there...don’t know how. Have no home...and class on Thursday with her.” And now he waited, shaking again even as Yeong came into the room running from the others cat - scaredy dog.

Terry kept an arm around Seung as the other explained what had been going on. He could see his parents trading glances every so often, could see the worry on both of their faces as well as the protective glint in his Mother’s eyes. When Seung got to the confrontation with his parents, Terry started to rub the other’s hand with his thumb while Julie and Nathan were both frowning. Both of them had a good idea of what was coming next and were sad yet unsurprised when he told how he had been thrown out.

Julie and Nathan once again shared a glance and seemed to come to a decision before turning back to Seung. Julie moved to kneel in front of the couch and the boys before giving a reassuring smile and taking his hand to cradle between hers. “I’m sorry that happened to you, Sweetie. I’m sorry your parents couldn’t see how wonderful you are and look past their prejudice to see how happy you are.” She said then gave a nod. “You are more then welcome to stay here for as long as you both like and need.” Nathan spoke up as he moved to stand behind his wife, giving Seung a nod. Terry was the only one that paid any attention to the two animals running around and even then he turned his attention back to Seung shortly after he saw they weren’t making a mess in their chase.

Quote:
He had seen they would be accepting of him as he talked, he had seen it, but he had not been expecting the others other to come over and kneel before him and Terry. He wasn’t expecting her words but gave a tear filled nod of his head. “Th-thank you. Knew parents would not accept it...kept it a secret for that reason. She told them...uncaring and unknowing how they would react...to what? Want me to change...to want her? Or to punish me for not? For being uninterested in her or in women?” He asked shaking his head as some of the questions which had been rolling about his head were spoken aloud. “Save my family's honor and show them my shame...she did not do it for that…” He was sure of it. She knew it would be a good excuse, knew it would be a good cover up. But that wasn’t why and he was sure of it.

Bowing his head, to hide his eyes, and he was thankful - more than thankful for the offer to stay here as long as he needed. “Thank you...means a lot.” And it did, it would give him some of what he needed, some of what he’d lost. It wouldn’t be the same but it would have some similarities and some of the same things but...new...different but the same due to cultural differences. Would they really let him sleep in the same room as their son? He’d have a lot to move into Terry’s room...he’d have to go back for his things - all of it…

Quote:
Julie got up off her knees and bent over to give Seung a motherly hug. “I’m sorry. I can’t tell you what she was thinking for having done this but I’m sure between all of us putting our heads together we can solve the issue of her harassing you. And you are quite welcome, we wouldn’t leave you out on the streets.” She said when she pulled back from the hug. She shared another look with Nathan and they had another silent conversation before he nodded. “Do you know if your parents would object to you going and retrieving your effects?” He asked with a thoughtful look. “I’m sure if we took my truck over there we could bring back everything with one trip if we don’t have to worry about furniture.”

Terry has moved away just a bit when his Mom had made to hug Seung but when she was done he moved back and held the other close. He watched as his parents started to make plans on how to help his boyfriend and he felt both happiness and proud that they would do so. After a moment he kissed Seung’s cheek, a small smile on his lips. None of the three seemed to have given the idea of Seung staying in Terry’s room much thought and had pretty much taken it for granted unless he asked for a different arrangement.

Quote:
She was willing to take him in when his own mother was throwing him out, as well as his father. He was being welcome into someone elses family and home. This was going to be a clash, or meeting, of cultures since they were very different - it would be interesting and take time to get used to things. But he’d do his best, he didn’t want to cause issues. “I hope so...don’t want to miss class but uncomfortable with her...don’t know how I will behave when I enter class.” And he didn’t want to cause a scene but he didn’t know that he wouldn’t. He didn’t know what she’d do or how he’d respond or if he’d just act out before she did anything.

“Don’t think they would...still have house key. Will do it when they aren’t home...for comfort to all. Didn’t say they would not help me with university either...or monetary support...just not allowed in house or contact with family…” He was in a sort of limbo. Not fully cut off but cut off anyway.

“Lots of clothing...tv...computer...pictures and decorations...if I can use dresser space than won’t need mine. And assuming, as he was, that he would be sharing Terry’s bed he wouldn’t need that either. It would leave him needing little save maybe his writing desk. “Maybe writing desk…”

Then he thought of something and ducked his head a bit. “Can I pay for satellite...for tv from home?” He wouldn't’ ask them to and he could do it, he had a job, and he didn’t want to miss the shows he was used to...a slice of home.

Quote:
“I plan on going with him to class on Thursday.” Terry said, though he had a hint of question in his eyes. While he had no problem skipping class and trying to set the girl straight on his own, he was curious to see what his parents had to say about it. Julie studied her son for a moment then nodded. “Alright but I shall come as well.” Terry nodded, not going to fight her on that but raised an eyebrow at Seung to see if he did.

Nathan nodded while doing figures in his head. “Then one or two trips should be enough. I have tomorrow off so we could go and get your stuff then if you like and if you know their schedule allows it.” He offered. At the question the young man asked he gave a smile and a nod. “I don’t see that being a problem if you want to.” He said, not about to deny him that little slice from home when it wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Quote:
“That’s fine...will feel better.” He answered the others mother as he curled into Terry’s side, drawing his legs up under himself slowly. “I can text professor and let him know...so he has heads up.” It would only be polite. He’d send it to him later since he did have his airbook and he did have his cell phone, so he could text or e-mail his professor. The man answered his messages rather quickly.

“They will be at work all day. Parents work hard, many hours. Will be good tomorrow to go.” And his own schedule would allow for it as he only had two classes, each just a little over an hour long. He could easily do it tomorrow and get his things. “Thank you, will set that up as soon as I can then.” He would be happy to at least have some tv with news from back home and shows he was familiar with and enjoyed - music bank, let me in, and other shows. Oh, he was happy with that idea.

“Thank you for allowing me to move in with your family.” Looking to both of Terry’s parents. “It means very much to me.”

Quote:
Julie nodded with a smile. “Sounds like a plan to me, I’ll see about if we can do anything from the security angle.” Terry gave her a quick smile. “We were planning on looking over the rule tomorrow to see if there was anything we could do with it.” She gave a hum and another nod. “Okay, you both look into that and I can look at some of the other angles.” Terry nodded and squeezed Seung’s hand.

Nathan moved to his desk and pulled out a notebook and a pencil to start making notes. “I have a few things I need to do in the morning before we could go but I will be done by eleven.” He let Seung know. “If you have anything you need to do before we go before then would be a good time to do it.” Both of Terry’s parents gave him a smile at the thanks before Nathan spoke up again. “You are very welcome.”

Quote:
“Never looked at rules...could they help?” He questioned curious about this. He didn’t mind the idea of security, though it seemed like a big thing, but it would help him and keep her from him. “Have them and you both...come in after me...see what she does. Could also have school ask classmates and professor about her.”

Terry’s mother was going to look at other angles...like what? He worried but was also very curious about this, about what really could be done about it.

“School, two classes - early morning. Then can do that.”

Quote:
“It’s possible that they can. There should be some kind of rules about harassment and stalking at the very least. It might have some suggestions on what we could do about her legally.” Terry said with a small smile. “Sounds like good ideas. We can make a list of what to do by Thursday, maybe make a list of just what to ask them?” He suggested with a thoughtful look. Nathan made a few more notes, though this time it was for the three to look through by Thursday.

Quote:
Nodding his head he sighed softly and leaned further into Terry. “Yes...can do that together.” He said softly, the idea was a good one. He wouldn’t mind that at all, since he’d need whatever help and decision making skills he could get. He might be an adult, and he was, but he wasn’t familiar with things here and who to go to or how to go about things. This didn’t happen where he was from, at least not that he knew of. And if so he’d have had a clue. He hadn’t planned on this ever happening, much less like this.

“Mmmm...Terry...grocery shopping tonight? Can’t take food or drink from home...I have money.” Lifting his head and widening his eyes as much as they’d go, going for an aegyo look. “Jagiya…”

Quote:
Terry nodded with a smile. “Okay, then we could do that either tonight or tomorrow.” He wanted Seung to relax tonight but with everything slowly getting plotted for tomorrow he figured they might touch on some of the things tonight. At the question, he looked first at his boyfriends adorable expression and then over to his Mom with a raised eyebrow to which she gave a nod. He then turned back to the other and gave a smile. “Sure, we can take Mom’s car.” He said with Julie nodding in the background. Nathan looked between the three then finished up with his notes so they would be ready for everyone.

Quote:
He would, of course, pay and not allow Terry to do so. But there were some foods and drinks he wanted. He just hoped they wouldn’t mind as most were things he was familiar with - so the asian grocery store. He’d taken Terry with him a few times when he wanted things or he had to do shopping for his family. Now it would be shopping for himself and with his money, not his parents, so less to buy but still a lot to spend for himself. But he would be able to make meals and have drinks and such here for himself. It felt odd..like he was moving in, which he supposed he was, but it felt odd to be doing so as it felt like he was invading and bringing his world into theirs. Bringing his sort of food and drinks, his music, and paying for tv channels that he wanted. Things that none of them either understood, had a part in, or anything else.

“Can go...and we can talk later more?” Or at the store. He wasn’t sure when he’d be u p for more talking but he knew he’d need to. But right now something normal, something they’d done before, sounded nice to him.

Quote:
Terry nodded and pressed a kiss to Seung’s cheek, uncaring if his parents were watching, then got up off the couch. He held his hand out to help the other up with a smile. “Okay. Do you need to grab anything before we go out?” He asked. While he wasn’t going to fight with Seung about paying for his food and drinks, he fully planned on buying him a few things as well if he got the chance. It wouldn’t be much but it might be something to help cheer him up a bit.

His parents said their goodbyes then got busy with their own jobs, getting things ready for later and tomorrow.

Quote:
Standing slowly Seung reached out for the others hand and laced their fingers. The kiss had been pleasant, though he had cast a look to the others parents. They hadn’t seem to care, or become upset by it, and so he was able to relax a bit more. “No, have all I need.” Tomorrow he’d have everything he owned..moving twice in just over a year..and the second was away from his family and because of them. Most people didn’t move out until they were married, due to affording their own place. Here he was, unmarried, and moving out...and kinda on his own...or at least out from under his parents roof.

“Let’s go.” And he tugged gently to get them out of the home office and to the front door so they could go.
