Name: Adderkit - Adderpaw - Adderrush - Adderstar Age: 68 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Leader Clan: RiverClan DuskClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin:N/A Mate: Vipersong (unrequited) Bio: Born in the lake territories, Adderkit was an apprentice when she traversed the second great migration of the clans. She and her best friend, Viperkit, had to watch their mothers drown in the wave of death that swept the four clans. The traumatic experience greatly affected gentle, imaginative Viperpaw, and would live in her for moons to come, gradually eating away at her mental well-being. Adderpaw, however, remained strong, always there for her friend for the rest of the journey.
In their new territories, the two were separated with DuskClan from many of the bonds they'd made on the expedition. They became warriors defending the ever-wavering border and learning to hunt on lands that didn't much resemble their former territory. It was Viperpaw who thought up rabbit-fishing--a tactic she used during harsh conditions, when rabbits would occasionally poke their heads up from their burrows to check on the outside world. She'd bring home an abundance of prey, however scrawny, and impressed Duskstar to no end. And it was Adderpaw who fought alongside the great leader in battles against DawnClan, getting up no matter how tired, no matter how many times she was knocked out of a fight. An old, stubborn spirit lived in her. One that was just as kind as it was determined. Their warrior ceremonies were shared, their vigil spent together. Vipersong cried the whole night long. Adderrush wrapped her tail around her closely.
Adderrush was there to bear witness to a particular tom's moves on her friend. Pikefur had been much older than Vipersong and very much disliked by Adderrush. He'd swarmed Vipersong, confusing her with his back-and-forth, hot-and-cold. When Adderrush approached her about it, she'd responded viciously. Adderrush had jerked back. She'd never seen her so blindly enraged and defensive. She effortlessly soothed her down, falling back into place at her side as Pikefur continued to manipulate her. Adderrush took to watching after Fernkit when Pikefur would sweep her friend away, intent on keeping their relationship under-wraps, even from their kit. She balanced her warrior duties with her personal ones better than any cat, proving time and time again that she was there for her clan as much as she was for Vipersong. She had only just been given mentorship of Fernpaw when their deputy died in a border skirmish. Duskstar stunned her in naming her his next deputy. Vipersong's cheers rang throughout the territory, the whimsical voice filling Adderrush with as much happiness as Duskstar's declaration had.
And then Vipersong found herself expecting kits once more. Adderrush, again, could do nothing but worry for the she-cat she was only beginning to realize she had always pined for. She found her duties as deputy limited her time with Vipersong drastically, much to her own dread. Every time she'd get the chance to be with her, she could see her losing herself, whisker-length by whisker-length. Adderrush returned from a dawn patrol to find out that Vipersong and two of her second litter had died while birthing, leaving one, pathetic kitten without a mother. The young deputy's wails echoed endlessly down every tunnel. She grieved long and hard, both for her best friend and for her love. Pikefur's lack of reaction infuriated her, as did his blatant refusal to care for his kits, or do most anything but what he absolutely had to do by warrior code. She had been patrolling with him when a wild dog came across them. She nearly let the thing shred him when her heart took control. She stood between him and the dog and found them a safe place up a tree to hide. It was there she told him to leave the clan and never return. He owed it to her now.
When Duskstar passed, Adderstar was in a much better place. She may have lost her love, but she had her clan. Both had always ruled her heart. She was given her first life--love--by Vipersong, and her second--spirit--by Duskstar. She aspires to honor those two virtues everyday she leads her clan. She named another close clanmate, Owlflight, as her deputy, the she-cat and her brother having grown up with her and Vipersong. They've lead the clan together for moons, becoming closer than most leaders are with their deputies. Adderstar is on her sixth life, having lost the first to a fox, second in battle, and the third most recently, in a bought of dreadful greencough. Personality: Affectionate. Strong-willed. Humorous. Name: Fernkit - Fernpaw - Fernlight Age: 27 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Warrior Clan: DuskClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Vipersong, mother Lionpaw, brother Mate: N/A Bio: Fernlight had more of a relationship with their mother than Lionpaw, and she wishes everyday her life were different. Their mother was a quiet, flight-headed thing whose actions were questioned by the Clan often, but none were technically harmful. Fernkit would sit with her in the warm darkness of the nursery and listen to her faraway voice as she told her tales of old and far. Before her apprentice ceremony, she painted her face in mud and called it strength. Fernlight adored her mother, so she was ripped to shreds when she returned to camp from battle training one day to find her limp body in the nursery. Fernlight wanted to unravel at the seams, but was too dedicated to her Clan and brother to do so. She tried to take care of her brother after that, but he grew into a difficult little burr. She remains confused to this day about why her mother would leave them alone, wrapped up in the secrets she never explained. Personality: Alert. Benevolent. Reliable. Name: Lionkit - Lionpaw - Lionface Age: 14 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Apprentice Clan: DuskClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Vipersong, mother Fernlight, sister Mate: N/A Bio: Lionpaw is the eldest DuskClan apprentice. His mother passed early in his life. Aside from a dead mother and an overbearing sister, he was also born with a stubby tail, which made him stand out even more as a kit. The medicine cat was concerned about the abnormality, worried that it could affect his balance, but as he continued to grow with little to no issues, the problem faded away. He purposefully keeps everyone at (regular) tails length, his sister included, for reasons he's never really bothered to analyze. There's probably some sort of trauma originating from everything his mother said to him as she was dying, but he was too young to remember exactly. Personality: Quarrelsome. Observant. Persuasive. Leery.

Name: Ravenkit - Ravenpaw - Ravenstrike Age: 68 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Warrior Clan: ShadowClan DawnClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Harespring, kit Grasspaw, kit Mate: Cedarmask Bio: Ravenstrike has never felt entirely comfortable in her own skin. She'd look around at her life and be struck by a feeling she couldn't quite pinpoint for the longest time. She thought a mate and kits would help her feel more at home, so she mated rather young with a tom who was sweet on her. And yet, even while watching Harepaw bat around leaves, she felt as off as ever. She and Cedarmask began to grow apart during the journey to the new territories, but kept their struggling relationship alive for many moons in the new territories.
Upon arrival to the new lands, nothing felt any different. She was still a stranger among all these cats. Moons had passed before she and Cedarmask had their second kit. Their relationship finally came to its doomed end while her belly was swollen with his child. She wanted to leave more than anything, and Cedarmask would only keep her trapped. Any attempt he made at being with her was met with further distancing. Ravenstrike made the split-second decision after Grasskit was born to take her eldest kit and walk out, knowing another queen would take in Grasskit. Regardless of how much she felt she didn't belong in her Clan, Harespring belonged to her, and she to Harespring. Ravenstrike was going to make it as a loner, and find a place to call home for she and her kit. The only problem was, she didn't know where that home was. The two spent a majority of their time wandering, until a dog cornered and attacked them. Ravenstrike returned to DawnClan territory, where she was met by Sunshade and Stormfury. Sunshade took pity on them and worked to convince Stormfury to take them back in. He conceded, so long as she swore on Harespring's life to never desert again.
Harespring adjusted back to warrior life and Cedarmask moved on with Maplefeather, leaving Ravenstrike more alone than ever. She turned her attention to Sunshade, surprised and warmed by his generous kindness towards her. She found herself harboring a very one-sided affection for the tom. When discourse erupted in the Clan and Sunshade turned on his brother, Ravenstrike was prepared to follow in his paws. Sunshade dissuaded her from doing so, reminding her of the day she and Harespring were taken back into the Clan and the stakes of the promise she made. She remains in DawnClan for the sake of her kit, and for Sunshade. By remaining, he at least had one cat he could trust within DawnClan. Personality: Independent. Adventurous. Introverted. Perceptive. "Esoteric." Bonus: N/A Name: Harekit - Harepaw - Harespring Age: 51 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Warrior Clan: ShadowClan DawnClan Unique Markings: Left eye went missing in action in the midst of a dog mauling. Kin: Ravenstrike, mother Cedarmask, father Grasspaw, brother Fawnpaw, half-sister Mate: N/A Bio: Harespring is the eldest of Ravenstrike's kits- a dissociated DawnClan cat who attempted to create a life for them on her own. It wasn't until Harespring lost an eye to a wild dog that Ravenstrike accepted she couldn't carry through with this. She returned to DawnClan for help. Their Clan allowed them back in, treating Harespring while they re-accustomed themselves to the life they thought they'd been done with. The disgraceful walk out had many consequences, the worst being the omission of their relation to Grasskit. Their roles in his life would only confuse the young cat who had never really known them.
Harespring knew her mother was uncomfortable among the cats she'd grown up with, but she never made any move to leave again. She was too caught up in padding after Sunshade. Meaning, she was also hardly there for Harespring--not that she could blame her for it. Ravenstrike, by that point, had proven she was hardly cut out to be a mother. Harespring bonded very little with her father, as she always felt she reminded him of Ravenstrike too much, and her separation from her siblings hurt more than she would admit. She blamed that alienation on him and Maplefeather.
Harespring's a rather bitter warrior now, having been annexed in one way or another from every cat in her family. She is unsure of where exactly she stands with Stormstar and his radical beliefs, but remains loyal to DawnClan as a whole. She feels some degree of guilt over Maplefeather, knowing that she had been the cat to tip off Stormstar about her. Personality: Quiet. Studious. Responsible. Wary. Cunning. Bonus: N/A Name: Maplekit - Maplepaw - Maplefeather Age: 70 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Warrior Clan: ThunderClan/ShadowClan DawnClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Fawnpaw, kit Mate: Cedarmask Bio: Maplefeather was born to an older pairing of cats who'd managed an interclan relationship for the greater part of their lives. Maplefeather lived with her mother in ThunderClan, where she matured into a dutiful, compassionate cat, even to the day the Clans had to relocate. She spent the journey caring after her parents, who were elders by that point. Her father died enroute, her mother clung on until the morning the new territories came into view. She was the first cat to die on these lands. Maplefeather found comfort in a fellow clanmate, as well as her first set of kits. Kits that would never make it to birth. Her body was still weak from neglecting herself during travel, rendering her unable to support extra life at the time. The tom was far too caught up in the new clan duties to mourn with her. Their relationship would never be the same.
It was around then that Ravenstrike would stare at her swollen belly hollowly, while Maplefeather looked on from across the nursery with a tinge of anger. She knew Ravenstrike wouldn't take care of her kits like she should. It was too late for her to spare Harespring the heartache of an absent mother--she was far too loyal to Ravenstrike. But the day the two left tiny Grasskit mewling helplessly in an empty nest, Maplefeather was there to curl up around him, offering the milk she still had from her failed pregnancy.
She and Cedarmask grew close over Grasskit, discovering all the happiness they could ever need in each other. They soon found themselves with Fawnkit, right before Stormfury became Stormstar. His behavior towards them was cruel, discriminating against and shaming them for dirtying the bloodlines. After FloodClan presented themselves at the Gathering, the two decided to seek safety in the new Clan. A patrol tailed them, launching an attack on the family. Maplefeather gave Cedarmask and the kits a chance to escape at her own expense. She fought until she was knocked out against a large tree root, returning to consciousness once again in DawnClan, with Forestfern and Stormstar looming over her. Personality: Gentle. Tolerant. Reliable. Earnest. Convincing. Bonus: N/A

Name: Cedarkit - Cedarpaw - Cedarmask Age: 74 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Warrior Clan: ShadowClan DawnClan FloodClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Harespring, daughter Grasspaw, son Fawnpaw, daughter Mate: Ravenstrike Maplefeather Bio: Cedarmask was born and raised ShadowClan before they and WindClan merged into DawnClan. He did everything he was expected to do--follow warrior code, fall in love, have kits. But Ravenstrike, who had always been flighty and disinterested in clan life, distanced herself from him during her second kitting, going as far as to disband after birthing. She only returned because their first, Harespring, had been mauled by a dog and needed immediate medicine cat attention.
Meanwhile, a gentle queen, Maplefeather, had been there to sweep Grasskit into her nest and nurse him in the absence of his mother. Cedarmask came to be fond of her in a way he never was for Ravenstrike. They found themselves curled up with their little family, the newest addition on the way. Fawnkit was born two moons before Grasskit left the nursery.
Stormfury rose to leadership not long after, causing discourse throughout the entire Clan. A handful of cats left immediately, but Cedarmask and Maplefeather hesitated for a few weeks, not wanting to disrupt their kits lives. However, their Clan proved to be more and more hostile towards them as the days passed. On the full moon FloodClan declared themselves a Clan of the forest, they decided to run in the midst of the next night.
Unfortunately, Harespring had overheard and informed their leader. A patrol was sent after them, and battle ensued, targeting Maplefeather primarily. Cedarmask had no choice but to escape on his own with the kits, as much as it ripped him apart. The three of them arrived in FloodClan camp the next day, racked with guilt and loss. It's been nearly a moon since their arrival in FloodClan, and they still have no idea what became of Maplefeather. Personality: Sturdy. Cheerful. Mild temperament. Bonus: Name: Grasskit - Grasspaw - Grassclaw Age: 12 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Apprentice Clan: DawnClan FloodClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Ravenstrike, mother Cedarmask, father Harespring, sister Fawnpaw, half-sister Mate: N/A Bio: Grasskit was the first DawnClan kit birthed in the new territory. He was raised with his half-sister, Fawnkit, under the care of a dedicated DawnClan queen, Maplefeather. His own biological mother fled Clan life not long after he was born, only returning with his elder sister when Harespring had been severely wounded. Ravenstrike had been a highly skilled warrior with a prominent and admirable presence, but felt distant from the cats that walked in her life. After her abandonment of him, Maplefeather and Cedarmask had taken to raising him together, making certain that Ravenstrike and Harespring kept their distance from the young cat.
Grasskit and Fawnkit grew up into a competitive set of siblings, a dynamic duo of eagerness and dry humor. When they were chased from their home and Maplefeather stayed behind, the two immediately felt her loss. Their family is splintered without her, and they all know it. Personality: Friendly. Skeptical. Fair. Conscientious. Competitive. Bonus: Name: Fawnkit - Fawnpaw - Fawntail Age: 8 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Apprentice Clan: DawnClan FloodClan Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Cedarmask, father Maplefeather, mother Harespring, half-sister Grasspaw, half-brother Mate: N/A Bio: Fawnkit was born at the cusp of conflict in DawnClan. With Doestar nearing the end of her lives, Stormfury gaining momentum in the Clan, and stirrings of unrest, she's only ever known the discrimination of her mixed clan heritage and the potent anger of a clan seized by radical ideas. The world seems an extremely hostile place to her, where the only good takes the form of her family.
Cedarmask, Maplefeather, and Grasspaw all shared in her outrage when she was denied on-time apprenticeship, for no discernible reason. Too afraid to protest very loudly though, they all laid low for a while longer, until FloodClan arrived at the Gathering, with news of their establishment and word of their offered safe haven for cats. Maplefeather insisted that they leave for FloodClan as soon as possible. And that they did.
Maplefeather didn't make it with the rest of her family. She offered herself up to fight the patrol sent after them so the rest of them might reach FloodClan. Fawnkit put up the most resistance in the moment, clawing and nipping furiously at Cedarmask as he grabbed her by the scruff, sorrow already started to chip away at her. She cried out as they raced away, watching her mother grow distant and begin to falter in the fight. When they arrived in FloodClan the next day, Fawnkit was a husk of silence, only speaking selectively to Lynxstar and her family. She went through the motions of things, hunting for her father and brother and arranging nests for them in their respective dens. She was made an apprentice at long last a few days later, though the ceremony was not something she particularly likes to recall. Personality: Thick skinned. Sardonic. Selfless. Impartial. Bonus: Name: Frogkit - Frogpaw - Frogleap Age: 22 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Warrior Clan: DawnClan Loner Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Thistle, son Mate: Spidersilk Bio: Frogleap was Forestfern's former apprentice, who left when he fell in love with his fellow Clanmate, Spidersilk. The two suffered through moons of indecision and trying to convince themselves to let it go, but their affection for each other was painfully obvious to any cat with eyes. They eventually planned to leave their clan together, as the idea of loner life seemed better for them than what they had then. Frogleap said goodbye to his mentor and explained everything to Forestfern before he left, half hoping she would stop him. She just turned and walked away. When everyone awoke and found the two cats missing, they were able to put two and two together themselves.
Frogleap and Spidersilk lived happily for some time, watching each other's backs and enjoying their solitude. Frogleap still has the occasional dream of StarClan, where his ancestors try to drag him back into Clan issues. It hadn't succeeded up until recently, when he also received the dreadful prophecy. A falling star ushers in a storm. Beware the flood that follows. Confused and worried, he fretted to Spidersilk for days, until she finally, reluctantly, suggested that they check things out.
They came across FloodClan on their return to the forest, where they were informed of everything that had been happening in the forest and he was welcomed as an acting medicine cat, if only until FloodClan can have a true medicine cat mentored. Personality: Protective. Calm. Indecisive. Worrier to a fault. Name: Spiderkit - Spiderpaw - Spidersilk Age: 20 moons Gender: She-cat Rank: Queen Clan: DawnClan Loner Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Thistle, son Mate: Frogleap Bio: Spidersilk had been friends with Frogleap since they were in the nursery. She had looked forward to being an apprentice with him, but he chose the path of StarClan over her. She'd almost gotten over it too when he confessed his feelings. The angry little ball of fur cuffed him so hard that he nearly lost his ear. But guiltily, she admitted the sentiment was mutual.
She urged him to leave the Clan with her for many moons afterwards. It wasn't until she found herself with his kit that he relented. They abandoned their duties and fled, the burden of guilt hardly slowing them down.
Frogleap still shares tongues with StarClan, and fretted over the Clan and their decision to leave for a long time, but Spidersilk refused to let him go back. Despite being plump with their kit, she turned the whole escapade into an adventure, and even among the scarier aspects of loner life she made sure they enjoyed themselves. After she birthed Thistle, Frogleap stopped caring about the Clans so much.
That is, until he received a foreboding prophecy. Spidersilk had been exasperated to hear her mates worrying arise once more, and picked multiple fights with him over where his dedication and loyalty and love truly laid, before she finally gave in to journeying back to ensure the well being of the clans. But all was not well when they arrived, and the three of them were caught up in the entanglement of FloodClan/DawnClan affairs. Personality: Aggressive. Brutally honest. Dependable. Resilient.. Bonus: Rather small compared to most cats. Name: Thistle Age: 4 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Kit Clan: Loner Unique Markings: N/A Kin: Frogleap, father Spidersilk, mother Mate: N/A Bio: Thistle was born to two young runaway Clan cats. His mother seizes life everyday and his father loves her and Thistle gently--but too much to let their way of life go. Thistle has only ever known the life of a loner, and his home is wherever Frogleap and Spidersilk are. The kit takes his attitude from his mother and his loyalty to the two cats from his father. He's gotten into more trouble than most his age but the perk of being loners was if things got bad enough, they could just up and leave.
Except for now, when his parents dragged him into the setting of their former, not-frequently-spoken-of lives. He dislikes the Clan lives very much, but he recognizes how important it is to his father, and can even see some amount of care for the Clans in his mother. Personality: Confrontational. Blunt. Loyal. Wary. Bonus: Like his mother in size.

Name: Ant Who Carries Leaf Age: 42 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Prey-hunter Clan: Tribe of Roaring Sea Unique Markings: A significantly smaller cat Kin: Rain That Splashes On Water, mother Storm Who Rocks Sea, father Puddle Beneath Flopping Fish, brother Mate: N/A Bio: Needless to say, when Stoneteller had been selecting the cats that would embark on this search mission, Ant had not been on the list. He hadn't even been a runner up. His brother, Puddle, would have been a better considered cat for the task. He'd been an impressive cave-guard, with firm ideals and swelling pride in the care he took in looking after the tribe. Ant might have been jealous, if he hadn't been so content with his own role in the tribe. He didn't mind being overlooked--it gave him peace and the chance to do what he liked after his tribe duties were attended to. However, Puddle was one of the select few cats to closely befriend Tides, a mistake he'd later die from. Ant had returned from hunting moments after Tides was brought back to their encampment, waterlogged and traumatized.
The loss of his brother set off a number of troubles in Ant's life, starting with the redirection of the expectations his parents had laid out for Puddle--expectation's he knew wasn't able to live up to. Disappointment and resentment soured his relationship with his parents. His character shifted, frustration with his lot crowding out his former contentment and cheerful chatter dwindling to withheld thoughts. He was among many hunting parties who were jumped by the seasonal dogs, and watched as his tribe divided, lingering on the outskirts of the conflict. Watched as the discourse even divorced his parents, his father the face of the prey-hunter's outrage, and his mother defending the undying efforts of each and every cave-guard. He cautiously tread the line between his tribe-mates, looking to Stoneteller and their celestial ancestors to deliver peace.
When a prophecy spilled forth, Ant petitioned to Stoneteller directly to send him off with the group he'd called together. The severe underestimation of his abilities gave Stoneteller reason to hesitate, but Ant presented himself as one of the few cats who wasn't caught up in the violent unrest. He insisted that he would keep the traveling cats focused on the task of reinstating peace in their home. Stoneteller eventually conceded and approved him to go, on the condition that he would do as he had promised and take up the role as peacekeeper and caretaker of the small group. Ant, of course, obliged. The day they set out, he had been prepared to guide the party, only for the surprise addition of Tides to throw him off. He stands as the polar opposite of the reckless tom, the only cat initially opposed to his presence but inevitably, begrudgingly, learning to work with him. The two balance the adventurous to thoughtful ratio, and are growing to be closer friends than even Tides and Puddle had been. Bonus: N/A
