Hyperborea found herself entering a familiar neighborhood on her patrol this night. This is near where Ann lives rights. She thought to herself as she walked the streets. Sure enough she saw the older woman just a bit of the way down the street.
Her newly minted Crown of Stars jangled as she quickly made her way towards the woman. "Salut Ann!" She called out to the woman to alert her to the knight's presence.
"How have you been?"She asked as she came up to her. "Oh are you free tonight, if you are I could show you my city like I promised." She said remembering her parting words the last time the two had spoken.

Ann had decided after her encounter with the young Knight Hyperborea, she would try to be a little more cautious when she went about and made her rounds near her apartment building. She fully understood that she had not the power to take down beasts or bad man like she wanted to have, but she'd be damned if she'd let them go unchallenged. Today she was armored up to the neck. Her favorite baseball bat now had nails jammed into the tip of it, and she had a large can of mace on her hip. Even if she couldn't 'dust' a beast or get one of the bad people arrested, she could, at the very least, incapacitated them until the real heroes arrived!
Speaking of which, she had not expected for the same young woman she had met not so long ago to suddenly appear on her doorstep! Well, not exactly her doorstep but within proximity to her. With a wide smile she made her way closer to the girl and wrapped her arms around her tight.
"It is good to see you, kiddo! How have you been?" She pulled away just a little, her hands still on Hyperborea's shoulders. "Don't you look absolutely stunning this evening? Have you been well? Have you been eating right? No bad encounters, correct?"
Ann knew she was being a little bit too clingy to the girl but she was just a child! She had her own baby boy who was her age and went out and about not telling her things! Atleast maybe this child would let an old woman know more and worry for her without hissing like a soaked kitten.
"Oh, your city? I.. Hrm... If you think it is safe out tonight, I would be honored to keep you company for a while!"

Hyperborea returned the hug with a squeeze of her own, she couldn't help it she was just a hugger. "Merci." She said with a light blush on her face. "I'm doing good I've actually gotten a few new gadgets since we last met that help me in my fight." She said thinking of the recent ring upgrade and her own crown.
"Nothing I couldn't handle." She said with a confident smile. "And I've been eating good, my teammate Delphi makes sure of that." She said with a laugh.
"Hmm. let me just check." She said as she took a step back and focused opening up her auric senses, her crown amplifying it far greater than normal. She felt no powered signatures in the area. "Yup there's nothing in the neighborhood so it'll be fine."
She took Ann's hand. "Ready? The first time space traveling can be a bit... exciting so be ready." She said as she recited the oath. "I pledge my life and loyalty to the Cosmos, and to Hyperborea. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine." In a flash the pair had left the street in DC where they had been stand and instead reappeared on a cliff.
Beneath them stretched an impressive stone city surrounded by crumbling walls. Above them were countless stars that sparkled like diamonds, with three purple ones standing out from amongst the rest. Rainbow colored cherry blossoms fluttered about from the gentle cosmic wind. Hyperborea took the helm of her long white dress in her hand and curtsied to Ann. "I welcome you Ann of the Earth to the grand city beyond the stars, Hyperborea." She said in introduction.

"Gadgets you say..? I suppose you're truly turning into the official comic book hero, aren't you? Not that you weren't already astonishing to begin with, sweetie." The little hand that took hers was squeezed gently, and Ann vaguely thought back to her own children. None of them wanted to hold her hand, much less give her as warm of hugs as this lass did. It made her chest tighten just a little bit. Before she could say anything else, a bright burst of light engulfed them, and her eyes turned to face wonders that she would have never imagined.
"This... Oh my goodness..." Beauty and stars surrounded her, and it took a long moment before she could break her eyes away to gaze back at the young woman who had brought her here. So little words could be stated that Ann swore she must have looked like a fish, mouth opening and closing repeatedly as she tried to gather her words.
"This is real, isn't it? All of this.. I know.. Hyperborea, was it? Like your name? Oh my goodness... How could a place as wonderful as this even exist...? And you, sweet child, protect this?"

"Something like that." She said with a giggle at the comic hero comment. "A fellow knight made an upgrade for our rings recently and I myself created this head piece." She said pointing to the crown of stars. "It helps me sense others like me better." It was easiest way she could explain her crown's ability.
Hyperborea smiled brightly, she loved seeing people left speechless at the sight of her wonder. It filled her with a pride she couldn't quite describe to see both civilian and powered individuals have there breath taken away by her city.
"As real as any place on the Earth." She said happily. "Correct, every knight and Senshi is named after the place they guard. Magic." She answered simply. "A magic as old as the universe itself, we call it the Code. It is what powers each and every knight, and there is a piece of it here. Just a small piece but it powers everything in this city from the rainbow cherry blossoms you see to the magical forge which I use to craft magical artifacts like my crown or the necklace I gave you when we first met."
"I do, I am the last of an ancient blood line of knights who have protected this place since time immemorial. I'm the first person to hold this position in over a thousand years however. My ancestor's were giants who controlled one of the richest trading empires in the galaxy, they had bodies made of stone." She explained, though given her small stature it was admittedly hard to believe she was the descendant of giants like the Hyperboreans.

"Ah.. .Excuse me, dear, I don't think I quite understand... You created a crown out of a ring?" The ability was easy enough to understand, but the transference of matter from one to the other didn't quite correlate well in Ann's head.
The area was quite beautiful, something that was certainly out of a fairy tail. It was hard to imagine that the last guardians were giant stone golems. Tearing her eyes from the sky and the tree, she looked back down at the knight before her in confusion.
"Well, you certainly don't look to be a stone golem. I suppose a thousand years of evolution would do that." She joked, stepping a bit closer to the young lass.
"Shall we take a tour around, Miss Hyperborea?"

"Oh no they were two separate things sorry. Though I suppose I could in theory make this ring into a crown given the nature of my forge, but it is how we knights communicate with each other so that would be a bad idea. No I made this crown out of gold bars, pearls, and a bit of cosmic magic." She explained.
She laughed. "I do wish I had inherited a bit of their height." She joked, though she had noticed she'd gotten a bit of a growth spurt lately.
"If you'd like I can introduce you to one, a Hyperborean. My ancestor, the last knight before me still haunts this place. He's something of a mentor to me." She offered with a smile.
"Of course." She she walked through the large gate house into the courtyard of the acropolis. Towering buildings filled the area along with more cherry blossom trees and a large bronze statue of a knight holding a golden javelin high in the air.

"Oh, sorta like walkie talkies... Alright, that makes sense... But I do wonder, where exactly did you find the gold bars and pearls? I do hope you did something proper and not steal them, young lady." The last bit of Ann's statement was just a joke, and she smiled knowing that it wasn't likely that Hyperborea actually would steal anything.
"Nonsense! Your height is perfectly fine. My son, who seems to be about your age, is around the same height. He's.... A fine young man despite his faults. And I'd love to meet your ancestor. I hope he doesn't mind an old woman meandering about his wonder. I will have to compliment him on how fine of a job he has done in mentoring you. You're certainly a fine young soldier."
The large gate was something out of a dream for Ann, and the more she looked around, the more in wonder she found herself.

Hyperborea laughed it had been a long time since anyone had talked to her like that, in a way too long. "Only from myself. Hyperborea has alot of old treasure vaults hidden in a magical maze below ground. It was a massive trading capital in ancient times so it had a lot of gold and stuff." She explained
"I'd still prefer not to need help reaching the top shelf." She said with a giggle.
"I hope I get to meet him at some point." She said with a smile.
"Theseus, come out and say hi!" She called out to the air, she didn't see her ghostly predecessor but he was usually haunting around here.
Sure enough the ancient giant appeared before then. "You called kora." He responded in his deep voice.
"This is my friend Ann." Hyperborea introduced "Ann this is the former knight of Hyperborea, Theseus."
Theseus knelt before the pair, although even knelt down he was still taller than either of them. "It is a pleasure to meet you Ann of the Earth." His deep voice echoed from beneath his helm.

Ann had no idea how he was supposed to address someone like this. He was a knight... A ghost? A ghost knight who could be called to someone and it, quite frankly, blew her mind. She had thought, at most, it would have been some statue that the young woman talked to every now and then, but no, it was honestly and truly a ghost!
His voice was like stone, just as he seemed to be, and it rattled her in a way that left her stunned. How would ghosts even talk... That made no sense. And how was she...? Well, he supposed the best thing to do would be to bow, curtsy and smile as best she could in her skirt and power heels.
"It's a pleasure to meet you you as well, Theseus. I take it you've been here for quite some time.. I am... Honestly, I am not quite sure what to say. It's nearly unbelievable just what is happening..."
