The Mini Events are small-scale versions of the AURB, which we use to help advertise the
guild and the AURB throughout the year, but also just to have fun!

Volunteering as a mini event Host or Admin is a good way to see what it would be like to be
a Room Host or Room Admin during the ball. If you want to be a host during the ball, but
aren't confident in your hosting and/or admin skills, this is the place to get that experience!

~ Roles ~

The responsibilities for the Host and Admin differ slightly. Please make sure you know which role you are applying for and what it entails.

Hosts:
These hosts are in charge of writing the plot and developing the characters with the co-hosts for their roleplays, same as the Main Host.
They will also be sourcing artists to make art for the characters in the event.

During the event they will be taking care of the roleplay itself. This duty involves making sure that co-hosts are taking care of unattended
guests, giving warnings to god-modders, removing or ignoring spammers from the roleplay, and ensuring that the plot is kept on track.

Admins:
Event admins will be looking after prizes for character quests, setting up the event forum, and sourcing forum graphics from the available
guild artists. Before the event Admin will make announcement/quote posts in their respective subforums to make sure everyone involved
in the event is on the same page and contributing consistently.

During the event the Admin will be updating contest lists and handling prizes. As this role is much less intensive than the Main Admin,
event admins are permitted to roleplay in the event.

I would like to nominate myself for the role of Host

Reason(s) why you are nominating this yourself: I really really want the Valentine's Event and plot. I had the best ever idea and ran it by the group. And want to host it. I am the admin for the Halloween event, and might be the admin for the Winter one. I will have some part in it.

Which Event: Valentine's Day

(optional) Any ideas you may have: I had a fantabulous idea for Feb and yes I know it's Oct but I don't care because it's a Mad Hatter/Alice themed Tart Tea Party for Valentine's Day!! A fandom thing if you will. And that is by far one of the craziest fandoms there is. It's not just any idea though, it's an explosion in my head that I want to rp.

Tarts, tarts, tarts, they're for the Queen of Hearts! A building shaped like the Mad Hatter's hat, with tea and tarts inside. All of the tarts are shaped like the four suits of cards. And we will serve a variety of flavors in both tarts and teas. Random things happen, decorations are upside down, clocks don't work, the waitresses will talk in rhyme; your basic madness going on.

I would like to nominate myself for the role of Admin.

Reason(s) why you are nominating this yourself: I have experience running large scale community events in real life and have been running events for the past four years. However, now I want to learn what it is like running online events. The Winter Ball was the last major event I was in the planning guild for and I am really excited to see this event being brought back to life. Even if it is on a smaller scale. I tend to prefer to work on the background aspects of an event.

Which Event: Winter/Christmas Event

(optional) Any ideas you may have: Bringing back the Crystal Ball where Chinook is slowly melting the ice kingdom and the guests have to stop the warm wind from melting the kingdom. (I had so much more written before I accidentally closed the browser... But that was basically the main part of the idea...)

Reason(s) why you are nominating this yourself:

because I have several years experience admining many roleplay threads off of gaia, and general world building and plot creation is a skill of mine that I would like to put to use more often.

Which Event:

The Winter event, though I am also interested in the other events as well.

(optional) Any ideas you may have:

the court of the winter fae would be my idea for the event theme.

perhaps plots relating to the shifting of the fae courts and how that effects the worlds within worlds would be an interesting thing to explore as far as plots run. there would be a lot of variety as far as character creation or porting existing characters into the world.

the auxiliary idea I have would relate to the death and rebirth during winter, particularly undeath.

Reason(s) why you are nominating this yourself: I have extensive knowledge in hosting AURB events, and now that I'm not in college anymore, I have the time to back it up. I am notoriously easy to get along with and I make work fun. I'm also willing to have an open communication with the Admin should any problem arise.

Which Event: Winter or St. Patrick's Day

(optional) Any ideas you may have: For Christmas, I would have the event would go like this: An ordinary Christmas Ball, headed by Father Christmas himself (or perhaps another character similar? Mother of Winter, Mrs. Claus, etc.) is hijacked by Jack Frost, who is jealous of the love and adoration Christmas time receives while he only gets scorn for the cold temperature and barren fields. It's up to the guests to either fight back or embrace Jack Frost. (also extra love for Riddle because I was going to play Chinook in the Crystal Ball at one point and my love for that little scamp knows no bounds).

For St. Patrick's day, I would have a slew of creatures from Irish Mythology, played by us, released from an alternate dimension for a few days. Their goal is to permanently keep that rift open so they can lay claim to Gaia, while the guests must either fight back or make peace. We can play Silkies, Leprechauns, the Dullahan, Banshees, the Slaugh, and the host would play Balor, the Irish demon king.

(optional) Any ideas you may have: An expedition! Like Indiana Jones meets the Lost Civilization room from the 12th!

Reason(s) why you are nominating this yourself: I love summer and events, and since there's a summer event, I would love to give and create ideas that will surely make the summer event an exotic blast!
