“What? You don’t think I’m tough enough, do you?” Arima protested as she chased after her mentor through another of his long and elegant hallways, “Don’t ignore me!” She was balancing scrolls and books in her arms as she darted around corners and doorways after the older Oban, “Please?”

“I’m pretty certain that I told you I needed poultices and more herbs gathered.” Finally a response! Not one that made Arima happy in the least, but at least he was acknowledging her presence again.

“I’m done making these orders for you. Can’t I actually go out and experience some things now?” Arima protested again as she dropped the load of books on a desk in his office, “I’ve already read through so many of these as well.”

“I’ve taken you on visits before.”

“Rarely.” Arima pursed her lips in frustration, “Sometimes I have to wonder if you want me to actually do anything beneficial or if I’m just a main support for your finances considering how much you make on my potions.” Not that it was technically true, but still! She wanted to become a healer not some potion master. All of this grinding herbs and mixing drinks and making ointments for this and that was so exhausting. Even the patient girl was tired after a couple of weeks of it. It was to the point that she had seen a patient without his knowledge – something that had resulted in his prior lack of communication towards her this day.

Finally with her daily protests and even her refusal of dinning with her mentor -she would refuse to do so until he started treating her like a true healer and not some delivery service girl!- Arima found her answer, “Fine. Let’s get you that experience you deem so necessary.”

So here she was. A desert wind whipped through the sands as the pale Matori girl stood there away from any city or…really anything in particular. Her satchel hung heavy at her side with supplies and materials while her staff was firmly strapped to her back – easy to reach in case she needed to fight. But as she was led through the desert paths a view of tents and other supplies for a soldier unit finally greeted her. “Finally.” Unlike others who may have groaned at getting this assignment the girl was bouncing with excitement – not that she would show it of course since after all she needed to be a lady no matter what, but it was still happening! She was here! Who cared if it was out in the middle of nowhere or supposedly dangerous? That was all a part of the story. I’m sure it’s not that bad. The other healers were just exaggerating about how much they hate this place…

Though of course as she took a few more steps through the encampment the girl found her step slowing down just a little bit. It was less energy and more of a wary observation as she noticed some of the rough faces that just stared and stared at her.

” That’s different than anyone I’ve seen before.”

“I guess she lost the lottery this time out of the healers.”

“Shame I guess we scared the other boy off. Now that was a fun one to tease about things!”

“Can she even stand to see a fight let alone heal anyone of us?”

“I’m more worried about the winds knocking her over than a bandit gettin’ to her.”

Taking a deep breath Arima just forced a smile before following the soldier who guided her to a tent, “This is the healer’s area. Have fun fixin’ it up. The other boy left rather in an excited hurry ya see.” The rough Oban flashed a toothy grin towards the Matori, “Dunno why that’d be.”

Arima gave a small smile, “Honestly…who knows? Right?” She gave an eager nod, “I’m sure it’ll be fine. I’ll just fix this place up and make it my own – easy enough.”

As the soldier shook his head and left her the girl surveyed the tent. Alright…so how to begin cleaning this up? A rough looking work bench, some scattered plants and books, some bandages… “Looks like they were in the middle of doctoring someone when they left.” She mused quietly to herself before placing her own satchel down and beginning to clean.

It was the chatter that seemed to be building among the other troops that drew Saraf's attention from the task he was working on, turning in the direction of the whispering voices. What in the world were they doing? It took him a moment to recall that today was the day that their new healer was to arrive... which meant that it was hazing day. Man or woman the camp wouldn't really hold their punches, so to speak, when it came to whoever it was that had arrived. If they were strong enough they would do fine here, if not then they would head home after their assigned amount of time was up. Saraf would guess that it would end up the latter if only because that was often went. They had a couple in their ranks that had some healing knowledge but they didn't have anyone that was a dedicated healer, something the Outcast Unit could really use.

Were it not for the fact that it was a source of entertainment for them to haze the newbies, be them healers or otherwise, Saraf might tell them to take it easy. Ah well, he'd just have to make sure that everyone got their check ups and got any wounds they had tended too before the new healer ran off for home was all.

He was about to turn back to what he was doing when someone suddenly jumped onto his back, nearly causing him to fall over backwards as he wasn't quite ready for it. After a couple stumbling steps he turned, finding himself starring at the resident beast master who was hanging off his back and asked, "What do you need, Vaina?" The smile on her face wasn't one that he liked, it was the same expression a perzi had on its face after it ate someone's pet bird...

The woman released her hold on Saraf, landing nimbly before resting her hands on her hips, smirk only growing, "Hey Saaaaraf. You never told us your girlfriend was the new healer. That's soooo cute that you had her assigned here!"

Words that for a moment confused him before it clicked. His 'girlfriend' being the one that they teased him about from time to time because they all knew the story of him getting into a brawl at the tavern over a woman. Well, not over a woman exactly but it was a brawl that involved a woman. No, surely that wasn't right, right? Why would a lady like that come all the way out here to be a healer for a group such as theirs? Surely Vaina was just teasing him? Given he didn't know for certain he was going to have to check. Turning on his heel he headed in that direction in a rush, doing his best to ignore the wolf whistles that followed him.

Now if these herbs were next to this rather than over there...that should be easy enough to reach if an emergency happens. Pursing her lips thoughtfully Arima found herself absorbed in the task of rearranging the whole medical tent. In fact she almost didn't even notice the curious stares that would peek in through the opening at random - even those that she did actually take a moment to notice the girl would simply smile and wave before going on with her task.

In the back of her mind, however, she had to ponder. Was it truly so weird that she was here out of all places? The soldiers seemed to think so - that or she was missing out on some joke since quite a few had nudged each other with a snicker and a laugh. Arima's hands tightened on the jars that she moved to a shelf. I'm not going to leave so easily. The last thing she wanted was for her mentor to have the last laugh! If he thought this was a punishment for her desire to advance her studies then he was in for a surprise! "I'll turn this into the best gift ever." Whispered Arima before placing the final jar in its resting place.

But now the noises did seem rather loud. What was all that whistling and chatter? Maybe I'm missing out on something? What if they had welcomes for the healers? Arima almost beamed as she thought of a welcome party. Now that would be fun! Though...no one else had mentioned such a thing nor had there been any ideas about that. Arima shook her head. It was a silly thought. Just trying to be optimistic. And what confident person wouldn't want to go and see what the commotion was about?

Nodding her head, Arima decided to brave it out and so stuck her head out of the tent flap to try and see what was going on. The light was rather bright and blinding however from the sun so she had to raise a hand over her gaze and blink a few times before any figures came into view. When they did, however, she had to blink a few more times before darting back into the tent. I must be seeing things! A tentative hand touched the tent flap once more before her pale gaze peeked out from around the corner. Was that truly him? A light flush decorating her cheeks the Matori quickly spun on her heel and headed back inside.

S-surely there was something else to clean up right? She uh...she uh could move those tomes again! And maybe go hide in that corner while doing so...flushing Arima just shook her head quickly. Why was she acting like she was in trouble? I have every right to be here as well! Yet when she took a step towards the entrance again the girl somehow found herself moving backwards and towards the darkest area of her tent that she could find. Maybe...maybe she was just seeing things? A mirage...if she was fortunate. Her hands reached up for a heavy tome as she began to rearrange the shelf once more...

She wasn't really all that hard to miss. How could one miss someone that seemed to glow compared to everyone else given her coloring? It was something that had Saraf starring for a long moment before he lifted a hand, rubbing it against his temples. What in the world was that crazy girl up to now? He couldn't help but to wonder as he lowered his hand... only to find that she'd vanished back into the healer's tent. Sighing a bit he started forward again in that direction, ignoring the occasional nudge he got from one of his fellow soldiers or a joke about him 'going for some healing'. How he was tempted to take a swing... but given that would only make him look more guilty he kept walking.

Once he reached the healer's tent he took in a deep breath, let it out slowly, and then stepped inside. It took his eyes a moment to adjust to change in lighting but once they did he glanced around until he found the one that he was looking for. There she was, the 'Lady of Oba' herself, Arima, and he couldn't but to sigh a bit as he asked, "Is this another of your attempts at finding an adventure from your books, Arima?"

This was a hundred times for dangerous then the tavern she'd tried to explore last time. Not because of the people this time but for many other reasons. The weather, the beasts, the long treks she'd be dragged along on if she was really a healer. If she was a lady then why was she not back in Sulburi? Why was she in the middle of no where with the outcast unit of all units? He had a million questions to ask but he'd wait until he got his answer to the first one.

Please, please don't let him be coming in here. But as the thought crossed her mind the girl felt a shiver down her spine as his voice floated towards her. What was he asking? As the words registered the girl felt her heart clench. Was he truly jumping straight into that conclusion? He doesn't know, Arima...he doesn't. Her gaze burned in frustration as the question was taken a bit to heart - it had been a tough decision after all to leave her mother....all so that she could try to become stronger and find a way to save her. But considering their last incident at a tavern the girl couldn't blame him for jumping to such a question.

Still, it didn't mean that she wasn't a bit burned by the question. Straightening her spine the Matori finished placing a book on the shelf before turning to face the soldier, "If saving lives is an adventure then perhaps." She stated boldly as she forced herself to stare at him, "I'm here under the orders of my mentor who believed that sending me here was a way to accommodate my requests for more advanced practice in the arts of healing." More likely her mentor was frustrated at her determination and wanted to quell her desire to have more 'action', but Arima was set on not backing down now. And seeing Saraf didn't deter her either! Though it did set a light flush on her cheeks - originally from shyness, but now mostly from being heated at his question- which she tried to ignore along with her clenched hands.

"I didn't realize you were out here as well - are you visiting or are you truly a part of this unit?" She turned away to hide her shaking hands as she forced herself to continue speaking boldly towards him, "I guess coming out to the desert makes one lose formalities, but a hello or a how are you doing would have been appreciated. Still, I'm not completely lost to this desert life just yet so I hope you've been well since our last meeting, Saraf." She continued working on organizing some jars of ointment and poultices as she spoke. It was a good distraction from her desire to just bolt out of the tent or go hide in a corner. Had she truly just spoken like that? My mentor's short temper really must be rubbing off on me. Yet she truly had felt a bit insulted....did he truly just consider her a child who played with dangers for pleasure? She may have been a fool back then, but this was different! She had her own responsibilities and if being here was a part of her training then so be it! She just hoped it was okay...to speak like that....to him....oh gods have mercy on her.

Saraf gave a humming sound at the answer that he got. She was here because her mentor was trying to accommodate her, she wanted to take on more 'advanced practice' when it came to her healing arts... and the mentor had all but tossed her to the janarim by sending her hear. He was more then certain that the mentor she spoke of must know how rough and tumble the unit was... so many it was some of learning experience? To see if she could handle healing even those like the outcast unit? An interesting thought for sure. He supposed it was up to Arima if she were to sink or swing... if he offered her too much aid it might add weight to the rumors.

Shaking his head he said, "Is that so? Here I thought you might be chasing after me, still looking for that marriage proposal that our mothers want so badly." A good thing if that weren't the case if only because he would never hear the end of it from his friends. Blinking a couple times he said, "Naw, not visiting. This is the unit I serve with now. I officially left the one I was a part of in Sulburi a couple weeks back." A difficult decision but one that he felt good about.

At the mention of losing formalities in the desert he tilted his head to one side, starring hard at Arima for a long, draw out moment... then he started to laugh, unable to help it. Only after he was able to temper his laughter did he say, "You seem to have sharper claws then last time we met, Perzi. I'm actually kind of... impressed. As such I guess I can tell you straight out, there are zero formalities out here save for referring to the one in charge as 'Captain' if any other higher ups are about. Save for that we are a pretty lax group of rejects." And she'd joined up with them... which was interesting if a bit worrisome. Given the change in her attitude though maybe she'd actually end up fitting in more then he'd first thought when he heard she was here. In fact maybe it was possible she'd ever survive out here for the duration of her stay?

His tease made Arima's cheeks flush more, "N-no!" She shook her head before peeking towards him, "Why? Were you hoping that was the case or something? Considering you were so eager to bring it up when it was the last thing on my mind..." She managed to tease in turn before his laughter completely took her off guard.

Saraf...was laughing and not going to slaughter her on the spot for such bold behavior?

Now that she had braced herself for some sort of attack the girl found herself thrown off by the laughter and...admiration? Could she say that? And he called her a perzi? Arima's lips twitched upwards into a soft smile, "Well they do say I'm a surprisingly quick learner. So be careful of this 'perzi' since it may become a janarim if necessary." She commented as she watched him - admittedly it may have made her heart flutter a bit to see such a light side to the usually stern and reserved man. Or that could possibly just be relief from the fact that she had managed to make him laugh rather than chastise her for being in such a place, "Anything else I need to know about this group of 'regrets'?" She quipped lightly, "I suppose I can learn to adapt to this situation as well - though I'll be far from lax." She raised an eyebrow, "Anyone that comes in here for healing will find that out quickly enough. I have my own duties after all."

Giving a shake of his head Saraf said, "Naw, just wondered if maybe you got yourself transferred here for that reason without really looking into the group that you were getting yourself mixed up with. Knowing that it isn't the reason though does make me even ore curious though." Why this group when she was such a nice 'lady' type? Sure, she wanted experience but couldn't she get that with anyone in the world?

As said that he should be careful because she was a perzi that could become a janarim if necessary he could only chuckle again, "That's a trick that might come in handy out here. One has to be tough to stay out here for extended periods of time." He gave pause, crossing his arms over his chest, and gave her a questioning look as he asked, "How long are you planning on staying then, Arima?"

"Anything else you should know? Hmm... well, I'd say keep an open mind and don't judge anything? Everyone here has their reasons for being here, some may or may not want to share those reasons. Still, so long as you're friendly, open minded, and can... well... take a bit of hazing you might make it." Here was to hoping that they weren't too hard on her... especially if Vaina went around telling everyone else about her... the last thing he wanted was for everyone to know that Arima was the one he got in a bar fight over. Of course given that he didn't want anyone to know that meant that everyone know by dinner time.

Arima rose a brow at Saraf's comment, "I surely must have left some sort of impression on you then to make you think that way." She protested with a pout before his commentary caused her bold features to falter, "Certain events are pressing me to learn the healing arts quickly....my mentor is a rather stern man and I suppose my eagerness to learn resulted in my assignment here. He does have a rather short temper and I suppose I may have been a bit persistent in urging him to teach me." Her expression was slightly bitter - not so much at the placement, but more so about the reason she felt so rushed. Could she find a way to help her ailing mother out by being here? Surely there was something that her mentor was intent upon her finding...maybe a rare herb or just some technique...something.

At his question she frowned thoughtfully, "Honestly I'm not certain. As long as my mentor desires I suppose." She glanced around the tent, "It's not like i can't continue my studies while working with everyone here. I'm not going to tuck tail like others have..." She shook her head, "I'm not one to quit just because it looks tough or even scary..." Arima grinned faintly as she looked at Saraf, "I suppose you found that out the hard way on our marriage meeting." After all had she not led him into a tavern fight because of her persistent nature? Stubborn as a rock - it had even gotten her here in this strange place.

"I can do all of that!" She agreed hastily before stopping as his final words registered, "Wait...what about a hazing?" Her pale gaze widened before she she moved forward with her fists raised, "I mean I can take that too! Let them at me, I'll give them a good fight!" It was rather amusing to say considering how the petite Matori was attempting her hardest to look fierce, but instead coming off like a kitten. It was enough that even Arima flushed before lowering her fists, "I'm sure I'll be fine." She added quietly as she tucked back a stray strand of hair, "Hazings....are normal...and survivable...surely..." She murmured as if to reassure herself before smiling once more towards Saraf, "They'll have to keep me in some sort of working condition at least else you'll all be in a bit of trouble when you need some healing."

"Certain events?" Saraf murmured, tilting his head as he studied Arima for a long moment. What would cause someone to want to learn the healing arts quickly? His mind flew threw various scenarios that might call for such a thing before he found himself asking of her, "You're not ill, are you?" The best reason for someone wanting to learn how to use the arts of healing would probably be because they had gotten ill. Did she want to learn how to use such arts so that she could save herself? Possible, but if that were the case then surely her mother, who had to be rather well off, would be the one hiring healers to save her child, right? Saraf knew for a fact that were he to get ill that his mother would do whatever she had to do to try to help him. He knew it for a fact because it was something she'd done when he was younger.

Lifting a hand up he found himself for a moment touching the scar over his eye as the thought came to mind. It was one that he banished quickly though. His mother had hired all the best healers she could find in her attempts to help him and she had... only he'd been left with a harsh reminder of the incident. Here was to hoping that Arima wasn't going to end up as bad off if she were in fact ill.

As she started to explain how long she meant to be here, which seemed to depend on her mentor, he gave a bit of a nod. So she meant to try to stay here no matter what, huh? She didn't want to run away just because things looked touch and scary or so she said After a moment he said, "I can respect that. Provided of course that you're here more then... hmm... three days." Giving a bit of a grin he said, "That is about the time the last guy lasted before he took off." His smile only spread as she seemed to falter at the word 'hazing'. Giving a little nod of his head he said, "Out in the middle of dried up no where one has to find fun where they can. That tends to involve hazing the newbies and messing with old timers, it's a way to pass the time when we have down time."

"Oh, yeah, they won't harm you. You're more important out here then most everyone else with those healing powers of yours. Doesn't mean that they won't tease you though." It was probably good that she at least knew that they weren't going to really do much that would cause her any lasting problems. That was something the last guy failed to pick up on. That she knew so earlier on would give her staying power at least.

Arima bowed her head, "Ah, yes." Certain events indeed. Not that she wanted a pity party for her! That was the last thing the pale Matori wanted - especially out here among this group of soldiers. She needed to be strong and not look pathetic to them, "No. I'm actually well. It's....something else.'" Could she even admit to the fact that her mother could possibly be on her deathbed? Just the thought was gut clenching and to even try uttering the words would cause her gaze to water with even more tears. No, it was a subject she could try to avoid for now. So instead she offered him a small smile before watching as his own hand moved with a quizzical expression. Had...had he thought of something? Her cheeks lightly flushing as she realized she was staring, Arima glanced towards a random corner of the room, "Either way it's nothing to worry over. A healer is always concerned about the health of others so this is the best way for someone as impatient as me to begin." At least that was the words her mentor had given her during their last argument. And here she was after rashly agreeing to his heated words. This is fine.

"Three days?" Arima found herself turning to look back at Saraf with a raised brow, "Surely you can have a bit more faith in me than that. Three months, even perhaps three weeks seems more of a goal to me." She could only shake her head at the news, "I feel as if this unit hasn't seen a truly determined healer just yet then." Arima paced across the room to pick up her satchel bag in which she had left some emergency and check up supplies, "A fun way to pass time? By chasing off healers?" She found herself quipping -something that even surprised herself- "Seems we need to find new amusement out here else you'll all be in trouble when something serious happens and you've just chased off a healer." She pursed her lips into a thin line, "Can't really do a simple game night, can we?" She doubted any soldiers would want to sit through a game of strategy or of story telling...story telling...the thought made her cheeks flush. Oh, yes I'm sure they'd love a bedtime story, Arima. Good idea Let's just tuck them into bed while we are at it.! She almost rolled her eyes at her own thoughts before sighing, "As it is at least I'm here now. I'll have to keep in mind helping rather than running away."

"Teasing I believe I can handle. I mean what could they possibly have to tease me about when they don't know me?" She blinked towards Saraf innocently, "I've sat through countless meetings with nobles and those women can be vipers with those tongues. Wouldn't be the first time my appearance has been taunted since it is so strange." Oh if only she knew what other things teasing could involve. Still, Arima finished packing her bag before walking back towards Saraf. "Should I begin a round of check ups? Or can I take a walk around first? Would...would you happen to be able to show me around? Or would you want to be my first patient? You are feeling well, hopefully?"

"That's good." Saraf said, glad to hear that she wasn't trying to gain the powers of a healer just so that she could cure some illness that she'd picked up. He didn't much care for the thought of her being sick after all. So she was here for 'something else' and he couldn't help but to wonder what that something else was. He wouldn't pry though, everyone had their secrets after all. He saw no reason to hassle Arima about hers just as he asked her not to pry too much when it came to the others in the area.

As Arima told him that she wanted him to have a bit more faith in him, that she would last somewhere between three weeks and three months. Giving a nod of his head he said, "Alright, it's a bet then, three weeks Arima, and if you make it that long... hmmm. I don't know, how about you pick your prize." He couldn't really say what it was that a girl might way... at least a girl like her. If it were Vaina he'd know what she wanted, she would demand a bottle of a rather expensive liquor that could only be obtained from those who made it in certain places in Jauhar. She wasn't one he liked to bet against often but surely it wouldn't hurt that much to make the bet with Arima? Especially since surely she wouldn't want to be here for three weeks.

Smirking a bit as she seemed to tease him about the unit's choice of fun he said, "You take what you can get for entertainment out here... and we have sorts of simple games. Dice mostly in which we bet whatever we have. Coin, drink, luxury items from back home, and whatever one is willing to gamble." On a more rowdy night things could get really interesting.

"You're going to begin check ups already? I'm impressed. There are a few that could use a once over I'm sure, like that fool prentice that got kicked by one of Vaina's beasts, perhaps? There are a few others I am sure that I could send your way as well. As for myself, I think that I am in fairly good condition at this point." Save for his eye, but she didn't really need to know of that. He'd gotten good at dealing with it and hiding it after living with it for so long.

"So we're betting on this now?" Arima blinked at Saraf with surprise. So if she survived three weeks then what? "I don't have to tell you my answer currently, correct?" She smiled towards him, "At least I'll have three weeks to think on it and I can tell you then." At that the girl did raise a finger, "When the time comes remember you made this bet up and so I hope that you will uphold this promise." Whatever that promise may be. The girl almost flushed. Was there anything she could ask of him? I suppose I'll have a better idea of that in three weeks.

"Seems like everyone loves to bet then." She commented with a wry smile, "Though I've never bet on dice before. I'll have to watch and see how that works." Admittedly her own pockets weren't full of coins as before, but surely she could bet something!

Arima nodded, "Why waste time? If I can get a check up on everyone by this week then I surely will know what to expect for future injuries." She placed a hand on a hip as she focused her gaze on Saraf, "First rule - the patient doesn't decide their condition. So that means I'll be checking up on you as well, Saraf." Her tough expression did falter a second later and she did let out a small sigh, "But if the thought of paying the 'doctor' a visit frightens you so much then I suppose I could benefit from a tour of the camp first. It would be nice to know my way around in case someone calls for me." They dropped her off almost as if she wouldn't want to leave the tent. The thought made the girl sigh once more. This place really had some confidence in the city healers who came here.

Giving a nod of his head Saraf said, "It tends to make things more interesting. Not to mention that people tend to be even more motivated when a bet is going on from what I've seen. You don't have to accept though." He wouldn't force her to make a bet on how long she would stay since she hadn't even spent a full night here yet. It might be more merciful of him to allow her a day or two to get into the flow of things out here with the outcast unit before betting on how much longer she'd stay. As she seemed to change the bet up a bit, saying that she had three weeks to decide on her prize he said, "So long as it's no dangerous or overly embarrassing it should be alright to give you time to decide."

"You've never..." His words trailed off and he merely nodded, realizing that as a 'Lady' she wouldn't have really had a reason to play dice games, would she? Giving a smile he said, "The rules are deceptively simple, but never easy. I'd say that if anyone invites you to a 'friendly game' to still be a little on guard, at least until you have all the rules down."

It would seem as though she wanted to dive right into the exams, huh? Not only that but she was telling him that she'd be checking up on him as well. he seemed to think about it for a moment, giving a thoughtful sound in his throat. After a bit of debate he finally said, "I suppose it wouldn't kill me to go first... or at least I hope that it won't. It would make the most sense for it to be me or the Captain after all and since I'm right here..." Once she was done poking and prodding at him then he could head out and send in her next patient he supposed. It was what made the most sense as bailing out now and leaving others to go first when he was right here would look rather suspicious, as though he was trying to find more reasons to come back later... which would only fuel the rumor mill.

"More motivated to play you mean?" Arima pursed her lips thoughtfully,. "Or can it also be like a challenge? Similar to the three weeks you gave me." She glanced towards him, "After all if I wasn't determined before knowing that you promised me a wish definitely makes me determined now." It made her cheeks flush to admit such a thing, but it was exciting! Not that she had any idea in the world of what to ask from Saraf, but she would think of something! I have three weeks after all.

Arima laughed lightly, "I suppose it would be best if I don't accept a game invite with a wager until I have seen it played a few times." Who knew what type of trouble she could get in then! It would almost be like entering a tavern full of rowdy drunks...oh wait a second. Flushing at her own teasing thoughts Arima glanced away once more as if to study the walls of her tent.

Peering over towards Saraf, Arima blinked at his acceptance of her demands. "What?" And then his teasing! Her cheeks flushed the girl actually pouted as she glanced him over, "Honestly a check up isn't that awful and I'm not that much of a novice - I'll only stab you a few times and then apologize afterwards." She ended up actually joking slightly before reaching into her bag, "So you truly are okay with this?"

Pulling out a journal and a pen the girl hastily wrote a few notes, "First check up: Saraf." She murmured lightly before placing the notebook on a table, "Now let's see...can you stretch your arms for me and everything seems to move alright? Legs as well...and I'll also want to get your pulse to make certain your heart is in rhythm..." Her gaze was set as she glanced across his body, "I also need to check on your muscles and to make certain you haven't been overworked or that your body is dehydrated..." The list could go on, but for now she just wanted to focus on the basics and definitely wanted to make certain everyone was properly taken care of in concerns to rest and nutrients.

"I'll have to check closely..." Biting the inside of her cheek Arima hesitated as she pointed towards the small sitting bench she had in her tent, "If you sit there I'll be able to do a full check after you stretch and take a few steps for me first..." She would just have to get close to him to make certain even his eyes were clear and not yellowed from sickness...and then also his pulse...speaking of which it would be nice if her own would stop racing. Nerves - that had to be it! He was her first patient out here in the desert after all....
