It was a month that he hated. He hated with a passion, because Beltane had been so cruel as to wake him up in this month…
but he had come to terms with his mutations, with the fact he was hallowed. Being interested in being a doctor meant that he often read up on new genetic discoveries. So he knew there was a chance that by himself any child would be a mutant. However his choice in partners was also a hallowed. So any children of his would be mutants. However his choice in partners was also a hallowed. So any children of his would be mutants.
Samhain would love any child of his, but he knew. He knew firsthand what it was like to have that prejudice flung at you. To be looked down upon because someone had been stupid or careless of just had piss poor timing…. Could he purposefully bring a life into this world knowing what awaited them…
But then the child wouldn’t be like him. They would know from the get go their parents loved them. They would have his support and Lace’s support to tell them they were wonderful and beautiful. They would be tiny little laces to run around and drag him off shopping.
And could he say no to Lace?
/you know she’s going to ask soon if you don’t/
“Yeah but… it’s October”
/yeah but it doesn’t matter. You are always going to have hallowed children. Yay for us/
Minutes passed by as Samhain drummed his claws on his desk. To imbue or not to imbue? To risk more mutations or go with mutations he knew they would survive?
“Lace, when you talked to that singer… were you serious? Did you want to imbue with me?” He asked having finally reached a decision in his mind. His house wasn’t that big so it was rather easy to find her.
