Edie had really started to come out of his shell a lot since leaving home. He was enjoying his classes at Community College and life in his crazy home. He wasn't sure what to really expect when he moved in with Pawsa and her rather large family. He just knew, at the time, that he wasn't really ready to be alone again. He told himself he'd be a great Uncle for Pawsa's kids. And he felt that he really was, though maybe he gave them too many sweets at times.
It was certainly a loud home, but that was good for him. It was forcing him to chip away at the wall he had built around himself and others. Children had a funny way of knocking over those walls like it was a barricade made of feathers. They never hesitated to ask whatever was on their mind. And while sometimes the questions were embarrassing, they could also be eye opening ones as well. After so long of living with someone else's kids, he was starting to have a desire to have one of his own. He didn't really have a partner of his own, but that wouldn't be a problem.
He talked to his roommates about it, pretty certain Pawsa would be quite ecstatic to hear his decision. They'd figure out the rooming situation in time and his child would have plenty of other kids to play with! He just knew this would be a great environment to raise a child in. He was prepared for this, really he was! He was already working on getting his shopping done for his soon-to-be child!
