 Welcome to the Grand Halloween Ball held in Belosh!
For years, Halloween has been a very important time for Metas, ironically being a kind of month of new chances, blossoming friendships, and even love. It's not uncommon to hear two lovers having met at the old Halloween balls that used to be held at the academy or even in various October balls in Belosh throughout the time the academy had been closed.
Now, the grand ball has become something of a commodity as Metas flock for every corner of Tretera to come just have fun and meet new people, reconnect with others they lost, or just come for the free food and games.
The venue itself is a huge indoor ballroom set up with a dance floor, many tables, open areas to stand and mingle. There are tables lined with all kinds of free food and drink, and even a few party games. There is a huge haunted house to the side of the venue and there is an outdoor patio area to just relax under the moonlight and strands of lights on vineboards. Everything has been decorated for the occasion and is expected to be a huge bustling turnout.
Belosh has warned that this event is a neutral grounds and will not tolerate fighting of any kind within the event. (You can try, but you will be promptly removed if not arrested depending on the action.)
((OOC Note: The way this RP will work is almost in an AU style. You may enter your characters as you see fit. It'll go on throughout October and in the end, you may choose whether this affects your character as canon and fit it into the story where it is convenient for you. Or you may choose to regard it as non-canon and disregard specific interactions between characters speficially. (Althought, I obviously encourage the former.) There is no specific post order since characters will interact at different paces, so be sure to tag who you're responding to so they are aware when you've responded to those characters.))

  ----------------- Cordelia had already been there, dancing to some music for the time being and was taking a break to go find something to idling snack on. Not that she needed to eat or anything, although the sensation of taste was a fairly interesting one to her. She was wearing a skin tight black pleather spy costume with a black boots, her hair was curled up into a short bob, a utility belt across her waist and a leg holsters with prop guns in them. Her slim figure was apparent in the costume but it was how she liked it. ------------------ After some time, Hexxis entered the ball, her stoic face showing no signs of her growing nervousness for being in public. Although she would likely never be recognized by the public as who she really was, she'd never been in a casual social situation such as this with so many people in one place to talk to. Her makeup with a dramatic pale that covered her markings, sharp eyeliner and bright red lips beneath a long jet black wig with no bangs. Her clothes reminiscent of a tight fitting black dress that hugged her legs all the way down, only to let a slit to the knee allow her to walk. Long tattered sleeves that had rips to reveal mesh beneath it, and the front showing a plunging v neck line that she'd sewn to stop just at were her chest began. Her straight posture only accentuated the her regal nature in the costume, her usual nature seeming to fit perfectly with the character she portrayed. Walking calmly, she surveyed the area, standing just in the entrance silently, waiting for some kind of guidance from Zephyr on what to do next.

Reaching up he adjusted the raven feather mask over his eyes by the tip of the small beak. A dark blue stone adorned the middle of the mask's forehead while dark black and blue feathers flared up from it helping him hide his head ornament. A few well places shadows and the simple cape he wore melded and separated from his wings with a voluminous look as he walked, dissipating near the edges. A few others were used to hide his skin color around the eyes and intensify the glow while the last few hid his ethereal feathers within the feathers of the mask. All of this done with a little use of darkness manipulation...doubting they would be hear long enough for him to worry about losing control.
As Zaku addressed him he raised a brow mostly hidden under the mask and just sighed, "By chaperone he means him or myself, not anyone you meet in this place. If someone tries to take you off the ground by force feel free to attack them" he said absently, hoping deep down Stormy or Akash made a scene so they could leave. He was still not at all sure why he accepted other than Zaku was pretty instant even including how good it would be for Akash and Stormy. So he agreed, at least it wasn't actively going door to door trick or treating.
Frowning faintly he watched Zaku call him over and just followed silently unconsciously stepping to the side and slightly back behind Zaku as he looked over the other people in the party with a practice gaze. Not looking for anyone he knew personally but any that might explain Zaku insistence to come here.
Taking one of the drinks he just held it and frowned "Yes. Usually as a bodyguard" ---------------------- "Yes! " Akash grinned, looking after Zaku and Tri and made a face after them. He was dressed with green hair and skin, fangs while wearing a black and red uniform with a silver belt and boots/gloves. The uniform was black with one red panel going from collar down to his legs and forming a short like pattern even if the rest were black pants. Moving he just started walking, staring at the other metas in the room.

[Stormy] Stormy's eyes lit up at the idea of attacking someone if they tried to take them off the grounds by force. She almost hoped it did so that she'd have an excuse, but they'd play it by ear. Smiling at Akash, she grabbed onto his hand from within her oversized sleeves and pulled down her mask. She wandered a bit, but kept a hold of Akash. After not finding anything of interest, she sighed. Looking around once more, there was signs for a haunted house, the entrance right outside the doors of the ballroom itself. "Look, Akash, it's a haunted house. I wonder if it has real corpses that make it super haunted." she commented with a grin beneath the mask and wandered into the house. There were few people that tried to scare them, but Stormy pulled up her mask and stuck her tongue out. Well, at lease this was more fun then roaming about aimlessly in a crowd of random strangers.----------------- [Zaku] Zaku smiled, just enjoying himself as he looked out over the crowd then back to Tri. "Then no, because working it doesn't count." he commented then gave a soft chuckle. "Have you ever partied or hung out?" he quirked an eyebrow with a smile. "I wonder if you've ever laughed..." he teased a bit then chuckled again, taking a sip of his own drink with an amused look.

[Akash] Akash stared around as they walked, knowing Stormy would be happy from what Mr- er Tri said,he was sure of it.He wandered with Stormy, looking around as the costumes other people were wearing kept him occupied. "Haunted house? sure" he said looking faintly curious as he joined her, following along the dark hallways and just blinking at the people who tried to scare them, pulling Stormy after him after a bit wondering if that was all there was to a haunted house.
He thought it would be more scary.. actual bodies ..or actually trying to kill them. "I thought they would actually be trying to kill us" he voiced his thoughts sounding almost disappointed. While he wasn't as blood thirsty as Stormy he actually expected a haunted house to be haunted with killers in it. Sighing he kept moving grinning as he stopped to pushed one of beef props connected to a beef hook forward. "We should bring Tri and Zaku here... see if they scream" he grinned if the thought amused him as he looked around ot see if there was anyone else in the vicinity that they could talk too. ------------- [Tri] Tri finally took a sip of the drink, turning the bottom with his fingers absently before returning to holding it normally. "You seem very curious tonight" he said casting a wary glance at Zaku as he analyze the questions.
"I laugh" he said with a hint of annoyance. "Their haven't been much reason to recently" he said plainly as he sipped the drink once more. Trying to remember the last time he laugh or smiled...likely at the beach with Hexxis. "As for a party where I didn't work? no... and I doubt you considering being with Mara and Ree hanging out. I would pose the same questions to you but I seem to already know the answer" he said looking at the happy muse who seemed like he wanted to head out to the crowd than be here.
"Why don't you go?" he said with a slight nod to the crowd. He would find somewhere to sit and just wait until it was time to go and likely watch the Muse while trying to figure out who he was talking to. He had been to lethargic recently to bother giving him a glare, just knowing to stay on guard with what he asked..temporary alliance or not Zaku was still an enemy.

[Zephyr]
Zephyr had his arm intertwined with hers and was holding her hand as they entered the ballroom, dressed in a well tailored black pinstripe suit, white button up shirt, dark paisley print tie, and black leather shoes with his hair slicked back, he looked quite the counterpart to the woman that Hexxis was dressed as. "Let's see...there should be a table with refreshments and food.." he murmured before he looked about the room, his stomach sinking a little bit when he saw a handful of people he would rather not interact with. Shoving that fear down, he lead Hexxis to the table where the refreshments were.

[Moira & Vic]
Pushing a wheelchair through the doors before she herself awkwardly made her way through them, a mixture of her costume and her current size making it harder, Moira was clad in blue armor with some red lining on the edges and a black fabric backing. With her upper arms showing on all arms, she had a fake tattoo scrawled on the top-left one with the number '512', and her hair was pushed back and shoved to the left side.Vic's outfit was picked out to be paired with Moira and Arno's, wearing a mostly-black outfit with a wrap top and a pair of hakama. The wrapped top was held closed with a blue-toned strip of rope and the left-most sleeve was slid off and hanging off his body, showing off his own toned chest and some of his abs, while a temporary dragon tattoo spiraled from his shoulder and down his arm. His hair was pulled back into a ponytail that was kept up with a dragonscale patterened ribbon.
"Ahh, the Halloween ball...so many of our kind have met here.." Moira laughed a bit as she stood behind the wheelchair that Vic was sitting in, one pair of arms resting on the handles, the other on her hips.

[Zaku] Zaku smirked and held back a slight chuckle. "What, I'm not allowed to ask general questions about you now? I was just seeing what would get you to at least have a little fun..." he spoke with an optimistic smile. He listened to Tri question whether hanging out with Mara and Ree counted and he shook his head with a grin. "Nope." Zaku then quirked an eyebrow as he suggested asking him the same thing and Zaku laughed at the assumption he made. "Actually, no. Never been to a party before. Not like this. Mostly just hanging out with friends and playing games. So I guess this would be a new experience for both of us." he offered an honest answer then looked at Tri over the top rim of his glassed. "Didn't expect that, now did you?" sighing with a smile, he watched the crowds of people, eyes drifting over to some people dancing and got a wild smirk on his face as he looked to Tri and the suggestion to go. "Okay." he answered, and took the cup from his hand, setting it down and taking his hand to immediately lead him to the dance floor before he could protest. The moment they made it there, he interlaced his fingers with Tri's and started to dancing with him, whether he wanted him to or not, a smile on his face.----------------- [Stormy] Stormy frowned and sighed. "I thought so too... this sucks." she muttered defeatedly. "I at least expected real ghosts... being haunted at all." she further commented before moving toward the exit that lead back into the ballroom. Her eyes lit up again. "Then we could scare Mr. Dad for once!" her smile faded immediately into a frown. "Or he could get really mad and then he'd be the killer in the haunted house..." she shuddered slightly. Although she had been excited about the idea of a killer, the notion of it being Tri seemed to ruin the fantasy completely for her. "Let's see if we can find other people to talk to.." she finally agreed and peeked out at the ballroom. Her eyes caught sight of the man without legs and she gasped quietly. "Hey, we've seen that before..." then her eyes got wider as she saw the woman. "Oooooohhhh a giant woman!! Oh! What if we convince the giant woman to punch Mr. Dad and... Mrs. Dad." she started laughing, finally settling on an actual nickname for her bothersome flower-scented father.----------------- [Hexxis] Hexxis still appeared apprehensive as she stared in wonder at the crowds of people, envious but nervous. She tightened her grip a little on Zephyr, even if her face never showed her fear of the situation. She walked with Zephyr to the refreshments table, looking to him then to the items on the table with a slight curiosity. She watched other grab food and drinks and she mimicked their behavior. She'd never been at party with the intent to relax and "have fun" but rather to do missions. A flicker of a memory wearing a dress before she shook the thought from her mind. She kept her eyes aware of her surrounding, watching the party-goers and taking in the information to analyze how to act more naturally, even if she wasn't doing that great of a job yet. Good thing her stoic face played to the character well as she took the time to figure out her surroundings.

 Tri returned the look with a flicker of annoyance, taking another sip of the drink instead of commenting to the smug remark. Yes, he had not expected this to be Zaku's first party, not with the nature of the crimes he had committed and all his contacts. If anything, he would have assumed the muse would have been a natural in this type of setting, but that was him grossly assuming things again it seems. Looks like the reality was they were all losing to a bunch of well organized group of kids...adults now...made sense, to much sense.
He was already lost in his thoughts after he suggested Zaku leave, assuming the muse would take the opportunity to go find the real reason he was here without the former SIU member keeping an eye on him.
The pull on his cup was a surpise, yet it was quick enough not to give him any time to close his hand around it. Tensing he snapped his head up to glare at Zaku, opening his mouth to retort about the same moment the muse grasp his hand and pulled him along. The look of anger faded to alarm then confusion as he followed, knowing he could easily break the hold but at the same time faintly curious where he was leading. At least that was as they made a beeline toward the dance floor and he started to try and stop them but much to late as they arrived.
The angry look was back and his eyes were glowing with a strong silver light that seem to say if look could kill, there would be nothing left of Zaku right now. "What the hell are you thinking?! "he said in a harshly whisper as he moved with a sense of experience. He continued dancing with the muse even as his feathers bristled slightly and the shadows he held against his costume swirled and shifted around them elegantly with each movement.
That lasted only a few seconds as he purposely started moving his feet to step and grind into Zaku's toes when ever possible. Understanding finally that this latest bout of insanity was likely to see if he would have fun. Fine, seeing his pained face would be -fun-.
-------- Akash grin faded to a look of worry and fear on his green face. Someone else as the killer would have been a lot more fun than having Tri suddenly chase them through the unfamiliar haunted house killing everything to end with them. "Yea, let's find something else " he muttered, lightening again as she pointed out the giant women. Staring blankly at the legless man in the chair, wondering how he was when all the other ones he saw on the island were dead. Looking up he stared as Stormy suggested her idea "Hey ...isn't that the screaming lady in the video?" He said staring at the familiar looking face and hair then the gems. At stormy's suggestion he started grinning. "Yea! Then they won't bother us again! Let's do it!" He said with a grin, laughing at Stormy's new nickname for Zaku. It fit the muse, always poking around like how they showed mothers doing, only thing he couldn't do was cook but DH was trying there right?

Kylar approached the Halloween Ball, his disguise rather flimsy. Despite the kill orders lingering above his head he was determined to have some fun, Zaku and the renegades a far thought from his head. The disguise or costume as it was called during this time of the year was his newly acquired vinyl skin and a simple distortion that removed all defining features from his face leaving it soft and undefined like a mannequin. He still wore a black suit, so he was simply a finely dressed mannequin, however if he ran into the wrong people some may still easily know who he was.
Although the reason for going didn't directly relate to it, he hoped to see Andy at the ball. At least that way he could know if she was alright, but respecting her desire to have no part of him he hadn't been searching for her. It simply nagged at the back of his mind as he wandered through the crowd of people searching for someone familiar as he made his way towards the refreshment table.
There were a few people here and there that seemed familiar, two of them being given a wide girth as he recognized the aura's of two people he didn't want to risk being seen by, Zaku and Tri.

[Mise Fortuna]
Mise approached the ball, hearing the sounds of the party already in action well before he stepped through the doors. He was late, but not unfashionably so. With a small smile across his lips he wrapped his costume red cape around himself while resting a blunted prop sword on his shoulders, a faux gold crown upon his head that could only be described as "gaudy," and a large heart symbol worn on his breast of his grey vest.
He mingled with the crowd. Making small talks and telling jokes in a deep booming voice which said he was having a fun time of the event. However he carried himself with purpose. In truth he wasn't here only for pleasantries and he scouted the room, looking for people of interest. He might have shown up late but the night was still young and he was a man with agenda.
He strode over to the refreshment table, Zephyr and Hexxis catching his eye and he grinned, his shark teeth betraying his nature as something other then entirely human as he remarked, boisterously, "The Addams!" he gave a laugh. "I have to compliment you both on your costumes, very classy." he figured it was as good of a icebreaker as any other.

[Zaku] Zaku's grin widened at Tri's reluctance, finding it somehow a little endearing as they began to dance. His affinity for dancing made him quirk his eyebrow with an intrigued look. "So you do know how to dance?" he questioned almost rhetorically as he danced with him, short lived until Tri appeared to be purposefully stepping on him. Zaku chuckled, and grinned once more, only to serving to pull him closer in what seemed to be his own odd game of chicken. "You know that won't work, so just have fun. Or maybe I could embarrass you more, or just keep dancing until you get bored of trying to convince me to quit." be spoke before laughing a little and pulling away a little, but not letting go of him. "You're a really good dancer, I'm impressed." he complimented sincerely, ignoring Tri's angry look for the moment.----------------- [Stormy] Stormy's face scrunched up to analyze the woman across the way before lighting up in excitement. "She is!" she gasped and jumped up and down as though she was looking at a celebrity. Turning to look at Akash, she grinned and nodded. "Let's!" she agreed and grabbed his hand and ran over to stand in front of Moira, looking up at the tall woman in awe, her amazed expression covered by the hockey mask on her face as she stood there. "Hello, giant woman!!" she greeted with a wave of her free hand. "We saw you in the video screaming and being stabbed and stuff." she explained before lift her mask to look at her and smile innocently, just looking fairly ecstatic to meet her.----------------- [Ashral] Ashral had worked up to this moment, building her own confidence to be in such a large social situation like this. She'd have been a shaking mess if it had not been for Ree being there with her. Taking a deep breath, she looked to Ree and smiled. Before long, her eyes looked over all the decorations and colors and people. She had appeared to be much happier lately spending time with Ree. Taking two steps forward and turning on her heel to spin and face him, a flutter of her blue dress with a white apron. Her hair was still it's usual short white look with a black headband. She clicked her heels together, white tights and black mary janes, she grinned up at him. "What's the first thing to do?" she asked enthusiastically, ready to experience even more things. Moving back to turn again and look at the options. There was food, dancing, and general mingling, and even a small haunted house that caused her to shudder slightly before moving her thoughts to consider the other things first.

Tri missed stomping on one of Zaku's feet which put him in a bad position to resist when the muse pulled him closer. Tri raised his head sharply and glared as he corrected his position quickly before he was dragged or pulled. Silver eyes glared at blue as he moved with him, faintly irritated to learn that Zaku also did know the steps. At the same time there was a certain amount of pleasure just moving along with someone who knew, except it shouldn't be him.
"Embarrass me...do I have to remind you that this is still -not- going to make me interested in you?" he said harshly but he didn't phase or pull back more than the small amount Zaku had pulled away.
There was a sudden sigh at the comment instead of the expected pride at those words. "I was force to learn. " he said simply because he was along with fighting. He was horrid as disguises and gathering information directly from the target but there weer other skills he needed as a guard. The thought came to mind and he keeps glaring, doubting those where the reason Zaku had learned. "Let me guess you learned to try and impress those around you " ------------------------ Akash followed with Stormy laughing. "Yep! and you only had one arm... and now you have four"he added helpful as he stared up at momo, ignoring the others that were near by her, only focusing on the four arm women. ---------------------- Ree turned his head slightly to look at her and smile from below the black and blue helmet that covered his head and added extra blockage for his head ornaments. The rest of him was dressed in black with blue trimming that glowed softly as he carried something that looked like a glowing blue frisbee. Ashral looked much calmer than he expected when he first suggested they come to this event. It was dangerous...for him but worth it if it allowed Ashral to experience something new, especially something that came only once a year. Stopping he watched her turned grace on her heels to face him. "Uh...." he paused letting out a soft muffled chuckle, feeling calm while he was near Ashral as he stared at her then sigh softly and looked past her as he tried to figure out what to do. There was an uncomfortable shifting of his wings as he spotted the haunted house but that as all as he looked thoughtful. "How about we get in character Alice?" he looked playful. "Lets get lost?" He said holding out his arm so she could randomly pick a direction and get lost in the crowd.

[Zephyr] Knowing that Hexxis was still iffy about being in such a social situation, Zephyr decided to keep towards the smaller crowds or the places that would be able to give her more breathing room, though he did smile a little when she at least seemed to be trying. Offering her a cup of the punch, he looked up when someone commented on their costumes. Smiling he looked towards the man who had delivered it, though as he did he did a half-awkward laugh.
Goddamn was this man handsome as all get out.
"Why thank you, m'lord." Zephyr laughed a little, giving a little bow before looking at the stranger who also seemed familiar at the same time. He couldn't quite place it, though. "Figured it would be easiest to do a couples costume, my Cara Mia here is one who'm I'd rather like to keep a little closer tonight. With those rumors and all."-------- [Moira & Vic] Hearing two voices saying hello to her, Moira looked down before kneeling a bit - one hand still resting on the handle of the Wheelchair to make sure that she knew where Vic was at all times - and smiling at the two children. "Well hello -- " she was about to ask who they were for halloween, but as the girl mentioned the video that had been shown on tv awhile back, she let out a soft sigh, shook her head, and hoped that that sort of video wouldn't have any lingering effects on the two children. "Well, I've kept up on my training and kept my determination strong!" Moira grinned wide, chuckling a little.
While it wasn't the truth, it also wasn't a lie. Looking down at the two, she tilted her head to one side, "Who or what are you two supposed to be tonight?" she asked curiously.

[Zaku] Zaku chuckled, "I know, I was just kidding.... I'm not trying to get you to like me. I'm just trying to have fun. Not everything has to be a conflict or ulterior motive. Despite the wars and fighting, Metas can still at least enjoy a festivity every now and again. Like a cease fire to just be thankful for being alive and to be grateful for what we still have." he commented with a soft smile.
He began to laugh more as Tri suggested he learned just to impress others. "No, I learned to dance because I really like to dance. It's a shame you don't, I'm a little jealous that you're this good at it." he answered, still finding his assumption very amusing.----------------- [Stormy] Stormy wrinkled her nose at the motivation talk Moira gave. "My sister taught me how to choke someone. I wanted her to teach me how to shoot a gun, but she said I'd have to ask Mr. Dad." she tilted her head innocently. "He stabbed me in the stomach with a knife." she stated, matter-of-factly. She began to smile as Moira asked her what she was dressed up as, pulling down her hockey mask as she lowered her voice to try to sound gruff and scary. "I'm Jason Vorhees! Ch-ch-ch-ha-ha-ha..." she raised her plastic machete and cleaved it in the air, making a hushed scream as though mimicking a victim.----------------- [Hexxis] Hexxis was observing quietly, drinking some punch she had been offered and thoroughly enjoying it. Her attention perked as someone approached and complimented their costumes. She nodded quietly, her face stoic and analyzing the situation, watching Zephyr bow to the man and calling him lord. She began to assume he was some kind of noble dignitary. She bowed as well. "Thank you." she respectfully thanked as well, giving her utmost respects to the gentlemen who certainly looked like a king. "I am not worried about rumors, but I do enjoy activities in which we participate together." she commented in a monotone voice.----------------- [Hexxis] Ashral smiled back at Ree and nodded. "Mhmm!" she hummed and grabbed his hand and looked to the crowd and took a deep breath to muster up her confidence, finally moving into the crowd to find something to do or see. She decided to peruse through the party games they had. A bobbing for apples booth that solicited a look of concern from her as she stared at people shoving their faces into water to attempt collecting apples and although fun, she was having slight flashbacks to a time she didn't want to remember. She shook her head, smiled and moved on. There was another game that looked like people were wrapping each other in gauze or toilet paper to make them into mummies. She flashed a devious grin at Ree then laughed as she continued once more. The last booth had small pumpkins that you could paint and hang up in the window or take home with you. "Let's try this one?" she offered as she looked enthusiastically about it.

Tri looked away, his eye narrowing as he just seemed to get angrier at Zaku's words until he just phased his hands and pulled away from the muse. "Remember the last cease fire?" he said angrily, shaking his head as Zaku was asking him to be thankful and he was having a very hard time figuring out what to even be thankful for.
Shaking his head he turned away, heading past other dancers and toward the doors outside without a glance around for the twins.

"So torture was training?" Akash asked skeptically as Stormy spoke up and he just nodded, looking a tiny bit jealous that the robot taught her how to do that. Wings shivered slightly at the mention of Tri and he glanced around only to see the black shadows heading toward the door, good!. Turning back he grinned and did a pose. "and I'm beast boy!"he said before imitating Stormy as she stabbed at air. ------------------ Ree looked faintly amused at her agreement as he followed her. As they paused near the game he watched with a hint of curiosity how people attempted to try and catch an apple with their mouth. If he could he might have tried it just because it looked fun. Except Ashral didn't stop there and kept on moving, at the next game he chuckled softly at the people being wrapped and caught Ashral's eye. " They don't have enough toilet paper" he said with a mischievous look. "Unless you want to be the mummy of wonderland" he chuckled softly following her to the next game and tilted his head as he saw the painted pumpkins before looking at her with a flicker of surprised that she wanted to join this one. "Sure" he said not finding any thing wrong with it as he moved inside, observing the others and grabbing a couple of pumpkins and a paint set as he move to an empty table. "Ta da?" he asked looking curious.
