It was not easy to get the chance to make breakfast but he had managed it for once. Jeremiah was without a top and wearing low slung pajama bottoms while he was finishing up making toast as the last part of breakfast.

Which meant moments later he was bringing up a tray to Alg and serving him breakfast in bed after giving him a kiss.

Jeremiah smiled, mostly because of the grumble. It was hard to want to get out of bed if Algie was being this adorable. He settled in next to Algie, leaning to n** at his shoulder (because he could), and got the other his glasses for him with a reach of his arm.

He was still smiling, a hand rubbing through Alg's hair and fixing it a little. There was no hope for that cowlick he always hado every morning.

"A traditional English breakfast for you, precious, since you've been looking out for me in the evenings." As he had been working late, taking over more responsibility for the chief. Once Alg was properly sitting, Jeremiah was adjusting pillows behind them both but mostly for the other.

He enjoyed lazy fatcat Algie a little too much.

"My breakfast is something else," he replied with a smile and a glint to his eyes. Jeremiah pressed a kiss to a silvering temple, arm going around the other and squeezing.

"Besides, don't think I've not noticed ..." That arm slid lower and fingers squeezed at Alg's side. The other still had his paunch but it was noticeably trimming to having more muscle there. Obviously he'd started some kind of workout. Jeremiah thought he might have not liked it but he liked this kind of bulk just as well.

Jeremiah just smiled at his husband and kissed the corner of his mouth when he frowned. He would be good and not say anything further. Instead he was letting out a sharp breath to the pinch at his side.

Not because the pinch truly did anything but that the other had seemingly gotten far better at influencing. It was, more than ever, effective on him. He was moving to get his plate before he even realized it.

"I've no idea what you're talking about, precious," he replied a touch breathless. Yet after his own first bite he was holding one out for the other to take.

... he was that bratty after the other had cheated so.

Jeremiah might have laughed if he was not blinking quite rapidly and widely at the two-fingered salute that was on the toast.

It even stopped him from helping to get the mess out of the covers because ew.

"Alg," he said seriously, "since when have you been able to write <******** you on toast?" Okay it did not really say ******** you but he was setting the fork down and taking the toast and flipping it around.

Which meant he was totally throwing that two-fingered salute back at him.

Deal with it.

"I suppose I should count myself lucky that it isn't on my forehead, hm?" Jeremiah huffed and rolled his eyes at the crudely singed phallus. No, let's be honest: it was now officially ******** you d**k toast.

The toast was flicked at his husband.

"That a few too many signals, precious, you're going to start something at this rate." Mostly he was teasing. Mostly.

Jeremiah huffed at Algie, bumping him slightly with his hip. "Only because I don't want to get food in the bed."

As that would be a rather unreasonable mess and they had just changed the sheets out. Not that he did not proceed to eat as well.

... but he still, after most of the food was nearly gone and there was only one bite left, holding it out to Algie.

That was assuming Jeremiah did not change them first because the idea of a food spot in the bed was vaguely unsettling (by vaguely he was still kind of grossed out by it).

He gave Algie a smile, something soft and sweet and entirely besotted. "Only when you're involved, precious." The fork was set down and the tray with the plates put aside.

Jeremiah leaned in to kiss him. "Neither one of us has to be anywhere for a bit ..." His fingers tangled with Algie's. "Lazy morning in?" It had been a while since they had had one.
