Roll - 86 Location - Sauti Beast - Keldari Word Count - 510
After a long, hard day of working on her house and expanding it a little here and there, she felt like laying out under the stars to relax and catch her breath. A sort of reward for all her hard work. Ming'we certainly thought she deserved it. Without the sun beating down on her the air was much cooler. She found that she really enjoyed it. The hybrid had only been relaxing for a few minute when she heard a strange sound to her left. Turning her head to look at what it was she saw a snake. A rather creepy looking one at that. While they weren't uncommon for the area, this type was. She'd not seen it in Sauti before. And the pattern it had on it was just a bit scary. Or at least telling in the manner that it was definitely not something she wanted to mess with just now.
So she sat up and rolled to her side so that she could grab a good sized nearby rock and toss it at the creature. Ming didn't want to hurt it since so far it hadn't me off as a threat to her but she didn't want it to come any closer either. So her aim was just to the side of it and she hadn't used very much force to make it airborne. When the rock landed it spooked the beast into raising up and hissing, it's tail coiling around the stone in an attempt to constrict it. When it realized it was in no danger from the inanimate object it let go and started to slither forward once more, tongue flickering out to sniff the air.
Ming'we figured that the creature must have caught her scent since it was gliding across the ground and heading right for her. So her reaction was to get up and step away. If it followed her movements then she would know that she had something to worry about, truly. However, it didn't seem to find any interest in her as it continued on it's way. The blonde arched a brow at it oddly before picking up a stick so that she could make more threatening noises behind it and make it's progress just a little bit faster. After all, once it was gone and out of the way she could get back to laying under the stars and relishing in her relaxation time.
Luckily for her the small tactic seemed to work and she was able to make the beast move just a little bit faster than it had originally intended to on its own. When Ming was sure that it wasn't going to turn around and come back at her from a different angle, she tossed the stick to the side and lowered herself back to the ground so that she could lay with her hands behind her head serving as her pillow. It was time for her to not have a care in the world as she stared up at the nebula highway in the sky.
