- Iz took up archery as a way to keep to keep her wits sharp and her eyes keen. Not to mention she enjoys the feel of control she has over the arrow. While she doesn't always hit the bullseye nor is she as good as Robin Hood or Merida, she likes to pretend she could pull off the impossible.
Animation
- Ever since Iz first saw Robin Hood by Disney, she's been enticed by animation and how it's evolved over the years. She's been studying it on and off trying to self teach herself how to draw, and how to animate. While she's lived with her parents on the reserve and done her best to continue tradition; she's wanted to branch out and learn something new that she may be able to use to bring a touch of her world to others. She doesn't think she's all that great and just does some little shorts; but her friends and everyone seem to be generally encouraging, and sometimes she thinks they over praise her abilities.
Virtues:
- Respectful
- Iz does her best to always respect everyone, including the earth and things she provides. Iz's ability to respect people and earth, helps her because that respect enables her to treat others how she wants to be treated. Even if she has no respect for someone she still treats them the same as she would others. That doesn't mean she'll let them off lightly though and lets them know she's disappointed in them for whatever they did to lose her respect. In her efforts to respect the earth as well as others around her, she's often doing little gestures of kindness such as picking up litter, or helping someone when they've got their hands full.
Resourceful
- Iz lives by the words 'waste not, want not'. She does everything in her power to make sure everything she can is used. When she's working on a project that leaves scrap materials she's often looking for a way to use the left overs. If she goes small game hunting, Iz often devises ways to use every piece of her catch. This resourcefulness doesn't only extend to tangible items though. She often is able to come up with ways out of situations that might be tough to handle, granted that doesn't mean all of them work out well and in her favor; but she tried! Iz's resourcefulness also helps her in city life because she's learned how to thrift shop and often enjoys helping her friends learn how to be as resourceful as she is. Even if they don't catch on to it.
Brave
- Being brave doesn't mean Iz isn't afraid, she can often be terrified but she does her best to continue on despite that fear to achieve what she set out to do. Her bravery comes in a few different forms from being okay to trying new foods and experiences to facing dangerous situations. However, if Iz is in a dangerous situation it's likely because she followed someone there. That doesn't stop her though from helping them fight their way out of it. Iz's bravery is fueled by her soft heart and moderated by her traditions. One of the biggest things that Iz considers fulled by her bravery is the fact she's going to college somewhere far away from her home, and that scares her.
Flaws:
- Stubborn Traditionalist
- Iz believes in tradition and routines, it's one of the things that makes her feel safe. While she realizes that things change and sometimes ways have to adapt to accommodate the changes going on around her; that doesn't mean she accepts it. She has a hard time adjusting to change in her traditions and her routines, because of this it can cause her to deny old habits that are harmful. This often hurts or hinders Iz since she can become stuck in routines that are long and unnecessary, and telling her such things can lead to arguments. Granted that doesn't mean Iz doesn't eventually adapt, it just takes her longer to accept the fact. Also, she sometimes feels lonely when others don't understand her traditions or can't participate in them.
Soft Hearted
- Iz's heart strings can be pulled very easily. She's often a sucker for emotional situations and more than willing to help those who look like they need it. Iz's soft heart can often lead her to being taken advantage of. She'll fall for most any believable sob story given to her and she's very easy to punch in the feels. She often goes out of her way to help those in trouble or comfort those that need it, and often it doesn't matter what sort of help it requires. Not only does she get emotional on a dime, but she'd give her shirt off her back to help the person. However, if she catches you taking advantage of her and she realizes it, she won't be happy.
Mother bear's Wrath
- Despite Iz's respectfulness and soft-heated-ness; her limits only go so far. If you've managed to really make Iz mad or make her bad side she can be really fiery. It takes a lot for Iz to be fed up; unless you're messing with her friends; but when she hits that level of done, you can expect she won't take any more of your s**t and she will let you know about it. Occasionally, this has lead Iz to get into scraps where punches are thrown. She won't hold her tongue when she's mad and she will tear into you if it's not physical it's verbal.
