The journey through Tale was getting rather lonely. Faamy sighed and reached into her pack for a snack. Maybe she should get herself a pet of some sort? Something to cuddle and play with on these long walks~ Wouldn't that be nice? ....Someone to cuddle would be better, but a critter would travel better, probably.
Looking over as some underbrush shook, she gawked at the strangest little face that peeked out at her. Then a second poked its head out! "What in tarnation are ya?" Then she paused. She'd just been thinking about a pet. This wasn't like any pet she'd seen before, buuut... "Hey. Can I keep ya?" She held out a stick of jerky, trying to entice the creatures over.

There were some strange creatures roaming his area of the woods tonight. Gaze narrowing Uzumati started to follow the trail of one of the creatures. It definitely was strange though and even the boy found himself jumping in surprise the first time it had stared at him through the darkness. This wasn't some bird and had...had it just hissed at him?! Brows furrowing Uzumati had growled in turn before losing the creepy creature. But then he had thought about it...what if he could find it again? It would be interesting to interact with after all. Still, what he wasn't expecting was to see a familiar girl when he popped through the bushes...

Faamy leaned toward the two she was looking at, on her hands and knees to hold out the little treat. One of the creatures dared to crawl forward and sniffed at the jerky. "Yeah, come on, sugar," she crooned.
The creature was just about to bite when it's head lifted to alert. A second later, it bolted with the other. The next second, something large jumped out at her side. She shrieked and jumped away, falling back with her arm up protectively. After a moment, her face lit up. "Ah! Wild man! How's yer back?" Looking to the underbrush, she pointed vaguely. "Did ya see them critters?"

So she had so easily tamed them? Perhaps not. Watching as the creatures fled, Uzumati frowned at the stranger. How was his back? His face flushed with slight embarrassment the wild boy shrugged lightly before taking a big step forward. No signs of pain escaped him so hopefully that would let her know he was better... Then at her next question he nodded. But at the same time he tilted his head before pointing after how they had ran away. What were they and could they catch them again?

Faamy watched the Leaf man move around and smiled. Seemed to be doing better! Head tilt? Wait.. "Yeh know what them are?" she asked, perhaps a bit redundantly. The guy wasn't about to answer with words.
No matter. She smelled an adventure! "Come on!" she chirped, jumping up to give chase. ...Of course, stealth was not Faamy's strong suit...

Uzumati quickly shook his head. That was what he had wanted to ask! He had no idea what those strange creatures were... The boy found himself following after the girl though every cracked twig and small noise made him wince. Could they truly catch up to these things like this? The boy shook his head before noticing something dart in the darkness. Grabbing Faamy's arm the boy pointed towards a bunch of bushes to the left. There was something strange there!

Faamy looked around as her arm was grabbed. Following the pointed arm, she actually took a step back. While her legs stepped back though, her upper half leaned in for a closer look. "Is it them critters?" she asked.

Uzumati nodded slowly before motioning again with his arms to himself. Gazing at the woman he slowly got to his knees and put out his arms so that he was crawling. One last nod and then he slowly began to move forward almost on his stomach across the tall grasses...if they were there then he was determined to try and take them by surprise. He just hoped that the woman would follow suit instead of making more noises and scaring them away...

Faamy watched Uzu for a moment (admiring the delightful view) before she crouched down as well. Well, she squatted more than she crouched, content to sit back and let Uzu do the stalking. It was quite interesting to see.

Peeking back over his shoulder, Uzumati nodded his head as he watched the woman crouch. This was good - he could move forward and hopefully she could back him up. It was strange to rely on someone else, but the boy at the same time felt a bit relieved. With these strange creatures it would help to have someone else to fight with him! Though he couldn't help tensing as his attention went directly to a pair of glowing eyes. A pair of glowing eyes that after showing up in the darkness of the brush yeowled at him and ended up in a strange creature clawing towards his face. Wincing, Uzumati fell backwards as the perzi attempted to dart around him....

The attack made Faamy wince and lean back. She certainly didn't want her face scratched up... Pursing her lips as the creature darted around Uzu, she swung her leg out to block its escape.
Rather than fleeing or attacking, the little creature jumped over her leg and ducked down to hide behind it. It peeked over her leg at Uzu with a growl.
"Aww! It's just scared, is all!" Faamy crooned, pulling out the jerky again. This time, the creature stared a moment before snapping the bite away, chewing and growling at the same time.

Oh, it was getting away! Pulling back a stray strand of hair in frustration, Uzumati darted forward to give chase. But then he found himself stopping as the wind girl stuck out a leg. And then the boy just stared...and stared some more. That fiend was just cuddling up with her?! His gaze darted accusingly towards the girl almost as if to say its only because of the food.
Glaring, Uzumati slowly took a few steps forward before plopping on the ground to just watch the interaction between girl and creature...

Brow rising at the sight of the glare, Faamy giggled and sat down, her leg still stretched out. "Oh, don't gimme tha' look. It was comin' fer me before yeh charged through in the first place." She looked at the critter and made little kissy sounds, but it remained crouched and growling.]
However, the second creature slunk over from the bushes to join its companion, watching Faamy expectantly. Breaking off a second piece of jerky, Faamy put her hands to her cheeks. "How cute are these here critters?!" she squealed, watching them chew the snack. She reached out to attempt petting their heads. The larger of the two fled from her hand, while the other gave it a curious sniff. In the end, it followed its partner. "I wish I coulda caught one," Faamy said with a sigh.

Pouting, Uzumati just turned his gaze away. Though that jerky did smell nice...ever so slowly he peeked back towards the girl and the creatures. If she had a piece for them then surely there would be one for him as well. The thought was enough to make him inch just a bit closer before reaching a hand out in her direction.
Her 'cute' comment made the boy snort, but it was amusing to say the least that the girl could easily tame something like that. Or not completely tame. Uzumati offered a low growl after one of the creatures as they finally slunk off. Good riddance he seemed to say with a shrug and a shake of his head. Though in the back of his mind he would remember - should he find one of those strange things that were calm enough and if the girl was ever around...then maybe he would give - no throw it at her.
Sighing, Uzumati stretched before standing. Since the danger was past it seemed like a prime time to go back to his own home for the night...

Faamy looked at the outstretched hand with surprise, and then smiled. She couldn't just give him a small critter-sized piece. She reached into her pack and pulled out two sticks, placing them happily into the man's hand. Speaking of cute~!
"I hope they have a cozy place ta sleep," she said softly. "I should find myself a cozy place! It's gettin' late!" Mmm~ The boy coulda used a warm squeeze almost as much as those critters, but she didn't think the reactions would differ much. "Enjoy the food," she chirpped, spinning to head out for an inn to find.
