After the incident with the alola, Kieran hadn’t been able to get the strange creatures out of his mind. Something about how easily they stuck to walls and honestly anything that they touched intrigued him. What if he could do that himself while exploring the underground world and cliffs around him? But in order to study them further he had one problem…he would have to go find some more. Sighing, the Yaeli stared up towards the skies. Did he truly have to be intrigued by these tiny creatures?
“I suppose I am a glutton for punishment.”
That stated Kieran tucked up a few pieces of parchment in his satchel and along with some more of the fruit and a whip walked on over towards the cliffs where he had first found the little creatures. While determination lit up his features, doubt did also linger. Could he really do this? Last time they had nearly gotten away and one actually had. Either way it wouldn’t hurt to try right?
So Kieran patiently waited as the fruit was laid out as bait. Eventually two alola – different from the others before – came out of the shadows towards the fruit. Watching as they slowly stuck a tongue out in the air as if to taste the fruit Kieran finally made his move. Darting forward with his pouch in hand, the Yaeli bolted forward. These two alola though were quick on their feet and eager to run.
So a few yards later down the beach, Kieran found himself jumping over stray rocks as he chased after the brilliant green and purple creatures. “Hey!” Okay, so maybe this wasn’t his best plan. Gritting his teeth the beast tamer reached for his whip and managed to snap it – scaring one of the alola to the side while the other slipped further away into the rocks. Good at least he had kept one away from those tiny cracks in the rocks!
Moving forward Kieran darted left and right to try and steer the creature into a tight corner of the cliff where the rocks were smooth and tightly pressed together. “I’ve got you now.” He teased as he approached the bright green alol which stared at him with its impassive gaze. Bracing himself the male stared down the creature before finally kicking off from the ground as he tried to grab the thing from the wall. Of course, the alol wasn’t that slow so it managed to not only jump – but actually jumped over his head and scurried once more towards the rocks were the other one had managed to hide away.
Twisting, Kieran actually stumbled over his own feet and fell to the sands with an ‘umph’. Groaning, the boy rubbed his forehead before staring towards the rocks with a frown. So much for that idea… Today he was seriously defeated by alola. The thought was enough to just make him fall backwards into the sand, “Definitely am going to take a break from trying this for a bit.” He commented to no one in particular before just idly staring up at the sky in frustration.
