 Gwen had been hired by Turnip to help with his ghost hunting group, she hadn't decided if she believed in ghosts just yet, but she found it interesting setting up the equipment that read temperature changes and electrical fluctuations. In the old abandoned house. Gwen had also helped Turnip get permission from the caretakers and his parents for this experiment. Gwen went about setting up the cameras in different rooms of the old house. Gwen was curious if they would find anything in this old place. Gwen looked up from her work once in a while to see what Turnip and Howl were doing, but besides that she was paying more attention to her equipment.

 Turnip was really excited his first real ghost hunting group, he had hired Gwen to help with the technical end of things, the litch was clearly good at what she did and she had been able to help him get permission to do this. Turnip was hoping to gather more information on any ghosts that might be in this house, rather than just what he could see with his powers. Him being able to see ghosts didn't help someone who didn't have his gift. So he was hoping that the equipment would show other evidence that Howl and others could see.

 Howl had been looking forward to this night at the haunted house for a while. Granted that you wouldn't be able to tell because she always had such a laid back personality. She was packed up for the night, had a few snacks that she kept in her bag near Gwen at the base area where the cameras were. So here she was, looking around the larger older home. She walked around from room to room, taking a look and getting a feel for the layout. "Hey Turnip... Should I take some pictures of the rooms as they are now?" She called over her shoulder to the club's leader. She figured it might be good to have something to compare anything they get to what it was like before they started but that might not be what Turnip had in mind.

Gwen glanced up at Howl and down at the bag of snacks that she had left at her station. Gwen didn't mind, it wasn't a bit deal after all. This was Turnip's ghost hunting party really, Gwen was just along to help and record data. Gwen nodded her head politely before going back to check settings. She looked into a powder blue room that had old toys in it. Then into the dining room which still had a large old wooden dining room table inside. Then Gwen looked at the camera that had another old bedroom, the bed was long gone that red and gold wallpaper pealing from the walls.

Turnip turned to Howl and said "Thanks for coming. Howl." He said in a kind tone. Turnip thought a moment "Sure that sounds like a good idea to have some before still pictures to compare to the video later." Turnip said with a nod. "Come on I'll go with you, Gwen will be fine down here with the cameras." The house didn't have a violent history so Turnip wasn't afraid, he felt the house just had a lot of leftover mark of the past and that was why there were spirits still here. Turnip hadn't seen anything yet, but he thought he had heard a few whispers in the walls.

The female grimm nodded some to Turnip and she took one of he digital cameras Gwen had brought. "I'm just going to borrow this for some stills okay?" She asked, not really waiting for an answer. But the equipment didn't belong to Howl so it was polite to ask. She turned back to Turnip and turned on the camera. "Oh also, there are snacks in that bag Gwen if you need anything." They would be here for most of the night so food and water would be needed at some point. "Lead the way fearless leader." She joked lightly and raised the camera to look through the screen. "I'll just take a bunch, probably better safe then sorry right?" She questioned snapping a series of photos, following Turnip. It wouldn't take to long to get them done and then she assumed Turnip or Gwen would turn off all the lights and the investigation would begin.

Gwen nodded and then went back to watching the cameras and making sure everything worked right for when Turnip and Howl started their investigation. Gwen shook her head at the offer of snacks. "Thank you Howl, but I don't like to snack much." She said calmly and politely. Besides if Gwen wanted water and carrot sticks she would have brought her own. This was a job to Gwen she didn't plan to eat while she was working. Gwen frowned when she saw one of the screens going on the fritz and then heard a noise coming from upstairs. Gwen blinked looking up, she didn't really think they would find anything perhaps she was mistaken.

Turnip laughed "I hardly think I'm the fearless leader, but I'll go first." When Gwen started fussing with the screen that had gone on the fritz. It was then that Turnip heard the noise coming from up the stairs. He led Howl upstairs to see what was going on. Turnip was really curious, who or what was in this house. Turnip nodded to Howl to take as many pictures as she wanted he didn't want to say anything in case he might scare away whatever entity was in the house. If it was one and not just a mark from the past on replay. Turnip opened the door to the blue room, that had toys scattered on the floor covered in dust. Turnip couldn't see anyone at the moment, but he thought he felt a presence there somewhere.

Howl followed Turnip, snapping photos left and right. She followed him up the stairs and was about to ask him why he had picked that room but realized that the investigation had already started. Either he or Gwen, possibly both noticed something that brought them to this room. She leaned to the side of Turnip and took a couple quick shots before he entered the room. It looked like no one had been in the room for a very long time, there was dust settled over everything even the toys on the ground. Her ears swiveled forward in curiosity hearing a creak which as someone not 'suspicious' of paranormal activity didn't think to much about it. It could have been the house settling, but it sounded more like weight shifted slightly on a floor board to Howl's ears.

Turnip still couldn't see anyone, so he was pretty sure the presence was just left over energy unless ghosts were able to hide their form from him, he wasn't sure, he was still pretty new to dealing with the ghostly world. He stood by Howl as he watched her take the pictures, he was pretty sure that there would be light spears in the pictures from the energy that was in the house. The mark the spirits that had perhaps faded away left behind. "It will be interesting to see if anything shows up, you're not missing anything I don't see any full body active ghosts." Turnip said a little sadly. (I'm only posting Turnip since I finished up what I needed for Gwen in another thread XD )

The Grimm glanced at Turnip as he spoke. She nodded some and shrugged a little. She wasn't to sure what she was suppose to even be looking for but so far things were fun. Hopefully she would learn enough to be more help or even capture her own evidence. "Should we go to the next room?" She asked after she took enough pictures of the room. Good thing the camera had a lot of memory space.

Turnip nodded there really wasn't much to be seen. So he agreed to let Howl take the pictures of the other rooms, "Yea I guess so, there really doesn't seem to be a whole lot to see, but maybe between your pictures and the cameras we'll have captured something." Turnip had really been hoping for a full body entity, but that didn't seem like it was going to be the case. Turnip turned to Howl and said. "Ok, let's finish up and head out of here to review the data." Turnip was really disappointed he was hoping for so much more from this trip, but he supposed he couldn't make ghosts come to him.

Howl's ears twitched sending Turnip's disappointment. They still had the rest of the house to explore, but this room must have given signs that it was a promising room. "We can always come back before we finish." She noted as she turned out of the room, taking a photo of the hallway. "Huh... It got really cold all of a sudden out here." Howl commented in a low voice of the hallway. The house was an even temperature with the outside weather then they arrived, which was warm. She took another photo and walked toward the next room, turning around to take a photo of Turnip as he left the powder blue room and where the cold spot was. "What about voice recordings?" She questioned him softly, not wanting to speak to loudly.

Turnip didn't have time to answer before a old litch who was see through came through a wall yelling at him to get out of his house!! Turnip grabbed Howl as the temperature of the room dropped further. Gwen paid none of it any mind as she continued to record things in the house, that she would give to Turnip later on. Once outside Turnip took a deep breath as he turned to Howl. "Sorry about that maybe we should try another house?? Or another place??"
