Though Dim had many hopes for his children, he didn't think they were too terribly unique to himself. He tried to pass this off as nothing out of the ordinary,
"Oh, I'm certain that every parent must want their young to be healthy, wise, safe, kind, and a loooooong list of other wonderful, positive qualities." And indeed this seemed to be a standard except he hesitated.
He did not dislike himself or any particular attribute about his partner,
"But perhaps..." he began, suddenly looking downcast. His voice grew faint, almost an inaudible murmur,
"They would know moderation the way it eludes me?"
