The Gods

When the Empire conquered Epsilon they integrated each Kingdoms head god or goddess into the Pantheon, replacing or merging them with the gods they already had in order to help people transition smoothly. The five major gods of the Epsilon Pantheon are the Patron gods to one of the Kingdoms while the Patron of Lionis is considered the "god of gods" Other gods still exist as well and are considered part of the original gods of each kingdom, however when they where brought into the larger pantheon of Epsilon some of the aspects they once held were stripped from them or they were mixed with another god.

God of Lionis
Zedekiah, god of gods, sits on a throne of white marble with gold inlay. He is the God of honor, law, and justice as he holds the scales of balance to weigh your truth in one hand and a sword of purest silver in the other so that he may cleave from you the penance you owe to not just the gods but to society.

Born from a on night of union most violent Zedekiah came into the world a product of the war, his mother a simple phoenix peasant girl and his father a ruthless dragon general. In order to save her village the Phoenix girl spent the night with the general, and nine months after...Zedekiah came into the world.

As a half breed at the start of an era of peace Zedekiah was not accepted into this new world of tolerance and he would have kept to himself, unknown as a simple farm boy until he heard the first king of Lionis speak of justice.

This spurred Zedekiah to become the greatest judge in all of Epsilon. He took not one bribe, treating everyone as equal, and listening to all sides before passing judgement upon them on behalf of the king. He would live a happy life but die early at only the age of 44, surrounded by loved ones, the last words he would hear before his death where from his aging mother. For as she clutched his hand in hers she whispered the simplest words that meant the most to him "Thank you" and as he passed away his soul went up to the heavens, and he ascended into godhood, as the god of Justice, Honor, and the Law.
Zedekiah

God of Zalto

Mnerolth is the God of Flight, Tradition, and Power. Sitting atop a throne made from pure gold he holds an old sword between his hands, the sword of Zalto, an ancient blade laid to rest with Mnerolth and said to have the magic of the gods imbued in its hilt, so that whenever Zalto is threatened Mnerolth's blade will shatter the tomb and come protect its people.

Mnerolth was the commander of the Dragon army during the war, he was powerful and strong as he fought tooth and claw for the safety of his people. When Phobos the insane found the darkest of magic's he was around to stop it. He lead his legions against the Insane Dragon and his followers, fighting with the Phoenix to put an end to his madness, and he succeeded.

Mnerolth was around when the first kingdom sprung up, and unlike his peers and allies who tried to rip down the symbol of peace, Mnerolth instead was the first to pledge his loyal to the first king as a way for the blood shed to end, for the rivers of Epsilon to once again flow clear and the land to become healthy once more.

So when he bowed his head to him the land seemed to see that he was trying to redeem himself and his people and he rose to the status of God, so that he could help guide the world in peace and tradition. Mnerolth is what every dragon strives to be. Traditional, respectful, and powerful enough to know when they should pass the torch.

Goddess of Ethe

Agni Ignatia Agni was killed in January 202, by Dixon Titanus in the City of Ashes.

Agni Ignatia Agni is a strange yet simple goddess, she comes from the heat of the mines and the vapers that drive men mad inside them. She is the goddess of Fire, Gems, Mining...and well gems. She sits among the gods on a throne made of star rubies, her shapely body created from steam as she looks out upon the people of Ethe, with lips full and inviting, a face of purest beauty, and eyes of Star Rubies that look deep within your souls.

Agni is perhaps the strangest of the gods, and the latest to join the pantheon. The Story goes well the same until the end.... A mere fifty years ago Ethe was running low on Coin as a group of Ethen Miners where deep below ground attempting to follow a narrow vein of silver in hopes that they would hit the jackpot.

It is said that this vein disappeared between two stones and the youngest struck the two rocks dead center, causing them to collapse. As the two rocks collapsed steam poured forward causing the young man to scream and reel backward, his eyes where taken from him and his left hand burnt by the boiling hot steam

As the steam slowly filtered away many of the men thought they saw the form of a beautiful curvaceous woman beconing them forward though the newly made hole in the mine, and when they stepped though the hole they where greated by the motherload...a cavern of gems that would still be mined to this very day fifty years later, All the stones of all colors.

But the strangest thing was that no red stone was anywhere except for on the farthest wall, as in the shape of a very tall, shapely woman as a large cluster of rubies with two star rubies in the center of the head that made them believe they where looking into the eyes of a god.

The story differs now depending on who speaks of her...some say she was a goddess created by the minds of the people of Ethe, a people that needed guidance and a stroke of luck...others say Agni Ignatia Agni was just waiting to be found, waiting for the miners to knock down the rocks hiding her...but the truth of the mater remains. The King of Ethe at the time ordered the rubies not be touched, and Agni Ignatia Agni became the goddess of the Ethen people.

Goddess of Bellris

Reborn as Salome Bellris year 201, This is not known to anyone
Antari is one of the gods of Epsilon and though she is very young of face she is in fact over 100 years old. She is the goddess of Darkness, Shadows, and Violent Death, she governs the emotions of hatred and Resentment. She is the patron of Bellris as she sits on a dark throne of Ebony that bleeds the last full moon of the year. She is a dark, feared and beloved goddess of the Bellris people, her body covered fully by her dark robes and veil. Two melanic birds accompany her, Silk and Carrion, one of which rests on her shoulder while the other rests on her wrist.

Antari was not always thought of as a dark, vindictive woman. In fact she was once a happy beautiful child, the daughter of the very Phoenix Bellris. Antari would be taught all that her mother knew and Antari would grow to be the first ruler of the Kingdom of Bellris. Coming to the throne at only age fourteen after her mothers untimely assassination Antari would be wise and powerful, but not well liked.

Antari would bring Bellris to power but she would not keep it, as on her sixteenth year in this world a troupe of men who did not see a woman fit to rule stormed the Bellris castle, which at that time lacked security. A Blade was taken to Antari's face and body and she bled to death...and to add insult to injury the men who stormed the castle stripped Antari of her crown and clothing before hanging her on the palace walls.

For Five years Antari's body would rot, but not a single carrion bird touched her...and at the end of those five years her vengeance would come, Men and Women both who where fed up with the tyrant who sat on the throne stormed the castle and had him beheaded. A new Queen, a Cousin to Antari, was placed on the throne and Antari's body was taken down from the palace walls, A veil and clothing placed over her body and she was placed to rest in the tomb.

Antari never "Ascended" into godhood like others may think she would have, she was just a spirit who wandered Bellris until finally so many worshipped her that she was brought into godhood by her peoples devotion, but also unlike the other gods she did not regain beauty or power, she was stuck with a face and body full of cuts and scars and ever since then she had worn a veil over her face and dressed very modestly to hide them.

Antari

God of Phobos

Leo is the God of Phobos, He sits on a throne of congealed blood and Ashes as his dominion is war, battle, strength and revenge. He is not a god to invoke lightly as he is more likely to cut you down where you stand then help you.

Leo is the personification of war and he is a very old god, older than most of the gods on this list save for a few. He has been around long before the Tribes and has been a god to many of those tribes. Though the years his story has changed as people changed but he has always been a god of war.

Some stories say that he was a farmer turned general for Phobos, Other's say he once roamed the sky as a winged and talon loose beast, Others say he was once a servant of death that had managed to free himself from Deaths shackles...but the story that some how managed to stay consistent though all his stories that man has made up was that long ago he settled down with a family to one day wake up to their screams. He saw people that he had once fought with killing his wife and children and he took revenge...and ever since then he has been the god of war...He has been Leo.

Ecuros: God of the Rivers and Fertility
Ecruos was once a little boy thousands of years ago, a god of the old world playing with his older brothers Atled and Lannahc and his sister Sisi when the magic of the land brought Epsilon up from the world below. Ecruos had been a young river god and had been playing hide and seek with his siblings and he hid under a pile of rocks, all the fish hiding with him. He hid for days and when his siblings never came for him months and months later he finally came out to find that the river had dried up and all that was left was a small pond where he had been hiding. He started to cry and cry until the land finally spoke to him. The land told him "I'm sorry, I did not see you when I lifted myself...please Do not cry. I'm lonely too, Would you like to be friends?" and ever since then Ecruos and the god / goddess that lifted the land became best of friends, though he never got to see his best friends face. Ecruos became loyal to this land, to this faceless god / goddess even as he grew older and new gods emerged. Ecruos travelled all over the land playing with his faceless friend and everywhere he went he began to make a river though the land and as he moved though the land the water he brought also gave way to life. Then one day thousands of years later as Ecruos and his faceless friend where near the northern edge of Epsilon his friend said to him "I think I am going to sleep for a while Ecruos...please keep the rivers flowing...for as long as you do I will be alive and one day I will awaken again and we can play once more" Ecruos agreed and responded "I will wait for you to awaken once more in the place we first met" and so when the land fell asleep Ecruos went back to the source and kept the river flowing, as the river touched every part of the land that he had been with his best friend, and ever since then Ecruos kept the river flowing in hopes that one day his friend will reawaken.

Ea then broke down, she became emotionless and when she was next sold she broke free and found her way to her father-in-law's manor. Ea broke into his manor and killed him. Sadly she would not get away with this act as she was caught no more then a day later trying to free his slaves. She is in constant conflict with the goddess Sorcha. Esterellad was not brought into the main pantheon.

Sorchad / Seleun
As Sorchad she is Goddess of uncontrolled fires, Smoke, Theft, Dawn, Greed, Rage, and Insanity. She got her desire in a way but in doing so she was cursed so that each night as Esterellad was breathing out the stars all Sorchad's beauty would fade away leaving her the Seleun, Goddess of Old age, Lost things, Forgotten Dreams, and Failure. Sorchad/Seleun was not brought into the main pantheon due to her confliction nature with Agni, however sometimes when referring to the goddess Agni Sorchad is an assumed second name.

Cassandane
The goddess of Wisdom, Learning, healing and Recovery. She is hardly if ever venerated outside of those born deep within Bellris as her aspects have nearly all been stripped from her, leaving her as a minor recovery goddess in the main pantheon.

Barad
Goddess of The Sun, Farming and Grain. Barad was brought into the main Pantheon however her sun aspect has been stripped from her Barad is still very popular within Bellris especially in the farming regions

Ecuros
God of Fish, Calm rivers, Fertility, aspect of the son. In the Major pantheon Ecuros and Atled have been made into one being.

God of Rough waters, Infertility, Blight, Disease, aspect of the father. In the Major pantheon Ecuros and Atled have been made into one being.

Arod
God of Hunting, Passion, Affairs, and Lovers, aspect of the lover. Arod does not exist in the main pantheon however any time he is mentioned he is assumed to be the son of Aelina.

Original Phobian Gods

Before Phobos was conquered by the Empire they were many many tribes brought together by one king that was the strongest amongst them all. Between all the tribes they had hundreds if not thousands of different gods and names for the gods. When Phobos was officially made a kingdom of the Empire the gods had already been roped together too five major beings.

Leo
God of War, Battle, Strength, and Vengeance. He was the most common amongst the tribes and thus when they began to become a kingdom he was chosen as the god of gods within the Phobian pantheon, which lead to him being part of the Lionis Pantheon as its Patron however stripped of his aspect of strength.

Tagh
God of Monsters, Hunting, Unrestrained pleasure, and Murder. At first he was the god of only one tribe, the Gos, but Tagh became so popular amongst others that he quickly rose in prominence.

Phed
God of Death, Fate and warrior training. Originally not a popular god due to his inhumanlike appearance but as stranger and stranger gods began growing in prominence he to found himself amongst Phobos' main gods, expecially when they needed a death god and a gods of murder, war, torture, and insanity just weren't cutting it.

Dura
Goddess of the Battlefield, Torture, Discord, and Cannibalism. She is sometimes assumed to be either Leo's little sister or female personification as it was believed that the desire for war was and vengeance was present in all beings.

Kere
Goddess of Women, Children, and Insanity. The second female goddess to rise to prominence, particularly when it came to light that women where needed to make children to make warriors for the other gods to murder.

Original Ethen Gods

In Ethe it is believed that everything has a god or a spirit within it or protecting it so they have many gods and it isn't uncommon for households to have their own religious beliefs apart from the major gods.
