"You mustn't go there!", a villager warns. "Tis a very dangerous place... Almost as if the forest itself is alive with vengeance! The way the wind howls... the trees bend and creak... And to top it off lightening flashes no matter the time of day." They pause and look at you solemnly. "Please... heed my warning and stay away if you value your life!"
As you walk through the village you realize that this is the norm. Every single person, no matter the age or gender, warns you to stay away. Tales of horrid happenings to those who are crazy enough to enter the forest are told in the local tavern. Flyers posted on sides of buildings list the rules of the village. At the top of the list it says the forest is a forbidden and rotten place. Puzzled, you continue to ask around about the forest. However as you proceed you are met with hesitant villagers and some start to take to your curiosity with aggression.
"T'would be wise to stop asking such blasphemy, outsider!", one villager shouts. "To speak of the evil that lurks within will summon the sky devil himself!"
Sky Devil? You find yourself more curious than afraid. Entering the sanctuary you stumble upon books of old lore and local legend. Some books are badly burned and damaged while others are in pristine condition. Afraid to destroy the damaged books further you refrain from looking at them too long. Too much of the tales are lost to modern time to bother risking losing the book all together. With a sigh you decide to read the other books. It is then you are met with someone who seems more curious as to why you wish to know about the forest.
"The forest? Tis a very dangerous place indeed. They say a God lives in the forest who has turned his back on humanity. That should suffice for now... Ah.. the books? Tis a shame... They were damaged in a fire... caused by the God ages ago... The elders before managed to save what they could yet to what cause? No one can read them." A sigh escapes this villager before the smile a bit at you. "Come, if you truly wish to learn more, follow me. Not all damn the God in the forest..."

Legend states, at least from what can be deciphered from the old texts, is that ages ago there lived a young God in the forest. A child, yet to come into his power and understand who he truly was. Taken in by the village, the villagers were amazed by this ability the God held. He was able to control the weather and change it on a whim. If he wished to rain, it would rain. Should the skies be cloudy, he could make it sunny. It wasn't long before humans thought they could bribe the God to make their lives that much easier. Naive, the young God was, and did his best to please the humans. Yet, he was much inexperienced with his powers and could not firmly control them. They tied into his emotions and once day he lost control.
He summoned such a deadly storm it is a surprise anyone remained to rebuild the village. Villagers tried to calm the God but others whom were angry with the God took to violence. This was a huge mistake and is what led to the storm growing in intensity. Many of our village was killed that night. The village was set ablaze, the winds aiding the fire despite the rain that poured like falls. Somehow we managed to chase the God into the forest but at what cost? Many were dead and the village had fallen to ruin. We lost a lot of our written history and culture.
To this day we still struggle to rebuild what was lost. The forest has become a forbidden place. We are not to enter it for fear of what would happen if we did. To cause such anger in the Storm God again... Oh... What would happen to us..? We would be wiped off the face of this Earth... He is no longer the young child we had so foolishly taken advantage of. Nature is to be feared and respected no matter the type. It cannot be controlled...
Yet... The reason you are being told this, traveler, is because not all of us completely fear the God. Many generations have passed since that terrible incident and we realize we are at fault for manipulating such a powerful being. We wish to worship him... and devote our lives to mending the rift between nature and humanity.
Ah... it may sound like we are trying to manipulate the God in our favor again... but really, we wish to right the wrongs. ...Words won't convince you? Well... Why not join us and you can be the judge yourself? Perhaps the God of Storms will grace you with his presence... and if he does, pray it be for good.

 The God of Storms, Tai'fon, is a neutral aligned God. ** He despises humans the most of out any species since the village that borders his forest is of human origin. His forest is nestled in between a cliff side over looking the ocean and the village rests on the opposite side. ** It is unknown how vast Tai'fon's forest is, as many who enter his forest often end up dead, gravely wounded or turn tail and flee before progressing too far. Right outside of the village is a shrine build by those who wish to try and rebuild relations with the storm God. This is where "followers" of Tai'fon would go to show their support. ** The shrine is often defaced by villagers who disprove of the idea and want nothing to do with the God. It is not uncommon that fights between supporters and non-supports occur here. The amount of supporters is greatly outmatched by the amount of non-supporters. It is extremely rare to be in favor of the idea of rebuilding the bond lost. Tai'fon is extremely feared by the villagers and this fear has spread to other parts of the land as well. Sailors fear Tai'fon's wrath for if he summons a storm if could be bad sailing weather. Farmers are at the mercy of Tai'fons whims - too much sun and crops will suffer. Too much rain - crops will rot.Meeting Tai'fon is an extremely rare occurrence. It can be considered a blessing or a curse. ** He is more lenient to other immortals [gods] entering his territory than humans and mortals. Humans he will attack without warning, other rather, they should have considered themselves warned. Non-humans, he will watch from afar and judge their intentions. The moment he feels they are not to be trusted they will be assaulted. It is extremely rare he will allow someone to pass through his forest. Do not steal from the Forest. ** If you are one of the rare individuals whom Tai'fon allows to enter without major harm, you will find an assortment of things left for you to take. His storms cause trees that are diseased or dead to fall that can be used. Sometimes, if there is too much crowding he will knock healthy trees down as well so others may continue to grow properly. Certain berry bushes have been planted in groups to be plucked for consumption. Picking from a patch not intended to be touched or a stray bush may lead to harm. Animals should often be left alone unless they venture out of the forest. Then they are fair game. His storms at times can cause animals to leave the forest, consider it a gift, hunters.The Waterfall is Off-Limits ** The Waterfall is a sacred place where Tai'fon often goes to. Consider yourself blessed if he takes you there or allows you to go there with his permission.

 "Ah... You have not been scared away yet? Tis a wonderful thing... Come here and sign this, shall you? What is it? Tis a vow to do everything in your power to mend the wrongs between us and the God of Storms..." By signing the book, you will become a follower of Tai'fon, the God of Storms. It is your duty to worship the God. The chance of him acknowledging you is rare yet possible. Upon your signature, you are led to the outskirts of the forest and given a task. You must enter the forest and find one of Tai'fon's fallen feathers and bring it back. A crazy task, yes? But if you make it back alive, it means he has acknowledged your devotion for the time being or perhaps luck was on your side? It is said that acquiring one of his feathers will grant your protection from the storms... Maybe this whole thing is crazy?
