The stallion stood among the small, secluded glade of flowers, quiet and thoughtful as he gazed over the colorful blooms. It was peaceful here, bird songs ringing out in the summer air, and there were many memories of this quiet spot that he shared with the mare that had taken his heart. It was the first place he had taken Misae for a date, one that he had been sure would be the last after he had fumbled with his words and chattered perhaps a bit too nervously in front of her. He had been clumsy and embarrassed, and Fracas couldn't help but laugh looking back at the memory. The brown and green Soquili shook his great head with a quiet huff, eyes closing briefly as he recalled the experience.
"Do you remember when I first met you here? I felt like such a child with how I fumbled about. I was sure you would never want to see me again... I was absolutely certain I had ruined whatever chances you had given me, especially after I had given you a nearly half-eaten flower." He couldn't help the adoring gaze that he gave her, his usually stoic expression melting away as he looked upon her soft features with great care. Fracas wanted to be sure to always recall her from memory should they ever spend their time apart.
Truth be told, he had never had much experience with women, nor had he expected to ever find one that he loved dearly, but here he stood next to the gentle, quiet mare that he wanted to protect and share the most intimate of moments with. With Misae, Fracas felt at ease, like the whirlwind of worries that was a constant buzz in the back of his mind was finally calmed and silenced. Her presence was a gift that he could never go without.
With a gentle move of his great frame, Fracas nuzzled against his loved one, a deep rumbling of a hum eliciting from the confines of his throat. She was precious to him, a rare light among the darkness; he wanted her to understand how special she was to him every moment that they spent together. "You are beautiful..." His tone was soft, his words spoken low and quiet like a secret that he wished for only her to hear. If there were anything in the vast world they lived in that would be his undoing, it would certainly be her.
He lifted his head to peer once more at the serene setting before them, eyes landing on a brilliant, soft pink flower that beckoned to him. Though he had redeemed himself many a time from the half-eaten flower incident, Fracas knew of Misae's love for flowers and constantly showered her in sweet scented blossoms whenever he found something that caught his eye. He took gentle steps as he walked towards the flower, plucking it carefully from the ground, and returned to stand in front of the center of his adoration. Carefully, he placed the flower neatly behind her ear and he sighed appreciatively as he looked her over. Yes, she was absolutely beautiful.

Misae had been counting the hours down to the minute for their date. Their cherished place that was almost a second home as Fracas took her there so often, it was always more beautiful each visit for their love blossomed more with each passing day. She still found it hard to believe that she found true love. She had such a free spirit, some would say wild and she could love loosely but when it came down to it when one meets their soulmate it can tame the wildest of spirits.
She looked at her mate lovingly as he spoke. She smiled her eyes sparkling with love and leaned against him as he spoke. "Yes i remember as if it were yesterday. I cherished that flower, I still have it hanging in my special spot in that hollow tree. It may be dried and shriveled, but it's still the most beautiful flower Ive ever seen. And you were so cute being nervous, I was nervous too. I never thought I could find one to clam my wondering heart next to my sister."
She looked up to him and smiled and bounced on her hooves slightly to nuzzle his cheek lovingly. She blushed at his words, she had never thought herself that attractive of coarse she never worried with such things either. Beauty was always in the eye of the beholder, but she loved this stallion more then words could express. "You have a beautiful heart that matches you in every way. You are my dawn."
She gave him a kiss after he put the flower behind her ear, "Come i have something to tell you...", she said as she wrapped her tail around his before trotting a few paces in front of him. "...but first you must catch me!" She had that playful smirk on her face and a glint of mischief in her eye as she trotted off for him to chase after her.

A gentle smile rested on his features as his mate pulled away from the gentle kiss they had shared. For one reason or another, he always had a giddy feeling in his heart whenever he and Misae had such tender moments and loving touches. It almost felt as if he were a young foal again, with how she managed to make his stomach knot and heart flutter. Yes, she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, there was not doubt about it.
He could hardly fight the chuckle that erupted past his lips, an amused light held in the depths of his eyes, as he watched her move past him. "Oh, do you now?" And just as he had come to love her sweetness, Misae had always been of the playful sort, energetic and youthful. They were traits Fracas had lacked since his foalhood, but he was glad to have finally found someone that elicited them from him.
He allowed his mate to some distance away from him, knowing full well that his powerful legs would allow him to catch up with her quickly. Nonetheless, Fracas watched her move, appreciating how limber and graceful she was as she frolicked about the glade. He would be more than happy to catch her, now and a million times over if he had to. With a shake of his head, the stallion finally began to move, first slowly to allow more distance to for between them, before finally allowing his legs their full range of motion and using his powerful strides to catch up to her. Within a few moments Fracas finally closed the distance betwixt them and he couldn't help but laugh lightly as he came to a stop.
He gently pressed his forehead against hers, a curious look on his face. "What is it you wish to tell me, my darling?"

She glanced behind her as she playfully pranced waiting for Fracas to bound after her. She could never out run him, but she would never want to. When he did finally give chase she squealed like a filly and pranced happily until he caught her. She laughed as he caught her and nuzzled his side again and tilted her head towards the large lone shade tree on the edge of the glen.
She lay under the shade amongst the flowers as her love joined her. "Well in a way its more of a question perhaps. My sister has found her heart again and she and I were discussing family, she has 3 beautiful children already and her and her mate look to have some of their own now. It got me thinking more. Ive never felt alone but i traveled on my own for so long. I was thinking it was time to truly settle down now that I have you. What are your thoughts on starting a family in the near future?"
She was getting nervous at what his answer would be and even more nervous at where she was guiding the conversation. She blushed and turned her head towards the flowers with a small smile glancing at him from the corner of her eye, watching his expression. What would he think, is he ready, was she even ready? She felt she was and her sister had plenty of advice to give and she was willing to help as was her niece and nephew. She was getting excited already.

At first, Fracas had though he had misheard her. A family? He and her, have a family? Together? His experiences with his own family had been rather poor, his father was hardly fit for the role and Fracas had had to journey and find a father figure elsewhere. Would he have been fit to raise foals of his own? Would he make the same mistakes? Would he be able to be a proper father? But Misae was with him, surely that counted for something.
He mulled it over, a thoughtful silence hanging between them. He was sure his self-doubt was more than unfair to himself, and he wanted Misae to be happy, he would move the stars in the sky for her should she want it. They had already committed themselves to each other, this was just the next step in their journey together.
"Are you sure?" The stallion carefully looked his beloved tenderly in the eye, resting beside her in the cool shade of the lone tree. "I want nothing more than to make you happy. I don't know if I will make a great father, but I will do everything I can to be more of one than my own was. I just... worry about making mistakes, especially with young ones of my own."

Misae smiled gently as she waited for his response. She knew he didnt have the best father figure as a foal but she knew he would be a great father. She was worried a little with the pause and silence, would he want to raise children, they hadnt talked about kids before. Even if they weren't to have children she had him and that was enough for her.
Something else was already in play however. They hadnt been together long, but she didnt need more time to know who she was meant to be with. When he finally spoke she cradled herself into his side.
He was still hesitant at the thought. "You will be a great father I have no doubt, the love you have for me will pass on to our foals as well. We will make mistakes Im sure, first time parents learn as they go. My sister said she made a few mistakes herself, but her children turned out just awesome and are ready to be parents now too. We will learn together, we have support in each other. Love is our greatest gift to our children.", she said and kissed him tenderly.
She then slowly raised herself and stood in front of him the mischievous glint in her eyes again. "We will have out in a very short time now...what parenthood will be like. Our family is going to be growing sooner rather then later. But dont worry you will be the best dad, I have no doubt.", with that she trotted away knowing he may take a second to process that. After she got a few strides away from him, she turned back to him with a humorous smirk and watched as the realization hit him and waited for him to come to her.

Fracas relaxed under Misae's kind words, letting out a soft sigh as his love pressed a kiss against him. He knew she was right, they would make mistakes, they would learn, and they had so much love to give to each other and that would no doubt carry on to their foals, but it was still a quiet nagging worry. Still, he would be more than happy to deliver the world on a silver platter for Misae should she ask it.
He watched curiously as she shifted beside him, brows raising in question as she caught the glint of mischief in her eyes. Though the pair hadn't been together long, he recognized when Misae was up to some sort of mischief. Fracas' mind blanked at her words and he could only stare dumbly at the figure of his mate as her pink figure sauntered away. "What...?"
Slowly, it started to dawn on him. Oh spirits above, was she.... were they really about to become parents. With quick movements, the draft quickly got up from his spot, closing the distance that Misae had put between them, a grand smile on his face. "Are you really with foals? How long have you... When..." His thoughts tangled, broken phrases and question slipping past his mouth as he tried to process everything. Rather than continue to ramble like an idiot, Fracas gave shake of his head to dispel the thoughts and gently kissed her. "I love you."

Misae's heart fluttered in her chest, partially from nerves then relief but also just for those magic words from the love that she found by surprise. She leaned into the kiss and her cheeks turned red, "I love you too.", she whispered softly back as her eyes watered. She never thought she could be so happy, but wouldnt trade it for the world.
She shook her head gently and cleared her throat slightly and laid down amongst the flowers where they stood. "Now to answer your questions. Ive only known for a few days and its been killing me. Ive wanted to shout it to the world, but wanted to tell you here. Noko was the first to question my state, she said I had more of a glow about me. My sister is something else, but having been there before she would know the signs.", she said with a chuckle. "We confirmed it with a trained healer, she could sense strong foals growing. She isnt sure but we will have quite the bundles of mischief, at least 2 possibly 3 foals. Are you ready to start the next chapter with me? The grandest adventure of them all....", she said leaning against him day dreaming of what their foals would be like, who they would take after. It was an adventure she had long been awaiting and there was no grander partner in the world she would want or could ask for then her true love.

His heart fluttered at her soft words, his near constant smile ever present on his face as Fracas looked at Misae. It was still so shocking and difficult to wrap his mind around the fact that she was carrying his children. Parenthood was a great unknown that they would both have to overcome, and while Fracas could already feel the stress and worry of becoming a soon to be parent, he could only think about how wonderful it would be to see his children come into the world.
"Three foals?" He murmured the words, his brows creasing in thought, though the stallion quickly pulled himself out of his own worries as he nuzzled against her. "Of course I am. I don't think I've ever been more ready." He was the truly the luckiest stallion in the world.
