The girl had held the magical pen aloft, spoken her name aloud and let the power of her star flow through her body. Imagi would have said it felt lovely if she was one to describe how things felt. It was the first time she had powered up into her senshi form since the tests she had run earlier. It all still worked as described by the cat. Now she only needed to patrol the city. Whatever that meant. Sailor Beta Leporis disliked vague instructions. She could not understand quite how anyone could operate under such unclear directives. That didn't change no matter what form she took. Chaos. She was supposed to be able to sense it. She was told she would know it when she felt it. Didn't they know she wasn't good with feelings? ß

Juliet was a passive type of person - always had been, always would be - so, perhaps, she was better at aura-sensing than others; given her natural tendency to fade into the background and observe everyone else with keen focus. She didn't want to fight - but she'd never fought a day in her life. It made no sense to her, that being in this dress would make people so angry; and so she didn't even consider it when she saw Beta Leporis. "Hello," the Dark Mirror greeted quietly, waving with one hand and her mirror shard in the other - Senshi were good for harvesting energy, wouldn't they be? The mirrorwraith would have an easy time tonight, and if Beta Leporis didn't complain, everything would be fine. Meighei [breakdances] im sorry i took three weeks

Well, she was certainly feeling something now. She wasn't sure what to make of it though. Luckily, the source of the aura appeared and Imagi didn't have to try and deduce what had created it. "What's that you are holding?"Her pale eyes went straight to the shiny shard. She loved little trinkets. It was strange but oddly pretty. Transforming into Beta Leporis didn't improve Imagi's social skills one bit it seemed. ß

"It's a mirror," Juliet smiled, her voice oddly toneless - like she was merely pretending to be a girl, maybe, and at any time she'd be something else (but that was a silly thought, wasn't it, she was only a girl just the same as Leporis was). "I would offer you a glance, but -- I don't believe I'm supposed to. I assume you share the same school of thought?"

The girl's voice lacked tone and her eyes seemed to lack depth. It allowed Imagi to let her guard down if indeed any had be set up to begin with. The effect was almost instant. Why did this girl fell so easy to understand yet not? "School of thought?"Imagi blinked and seemed to barely register her meaning. ß

"We're supposed to be enemies, yes?" Juliet frowned. "I suppose we must do what we must do." It was idle curiosity, but this girl seemed kind enough, and not likely to actively injure Juliet if things went wrong -- so a good option for a safe test of her magic. "Juliet Foggy Whiteout," she breathed quietly, and blew a white haze into existence; she reveled in the feel on the breeze on her skin. It was home. She was home, for half a second, and everything was kind. Melghei Juliet Foggy Whiteout Sailor Juliet says the name of her attack and blows a puff of cold, snowy air; this surrounds Sailor Juliet in a ten-by-ten-by-ten foot radius of a magical white haze, dropping visibility for 30 seconds. This does move with her, as it is more a collection of cold air than it is an actual solid form; however, it is magical, and cannot be blown away by wind. This 'haze' is fairly solid, and probably a bit uncomfortably nippy -- it is distinctly made out of snow, if one looks close enough -- but it's not gonna cause frostbite. Visibility will be reduced about 40%. This attack may be used three times a battle.

As the opposing senshi called out her attack, Beta Leporis realized that this wasn't the time for her curiousity to get the better of her. How had the girl allowed herself to become distracted like this? She may not have met one of the Dark Mirror Court before, but that was no excuse to let her guard down. You just can't go and expect to inquire about a person's mirror seal uninvited, after all. Well, what was she supposed to do now? Fight. She didn't like the answer to that question. Yet she tried her best to apologize, but it just sounded silly and insincere as she tried desperately to look through the cold, white mists. The senshi wasn't exactly good at apologies to begin with. It didn't exactly help that the two girls were on the opposite side of a rather large ideological divide. "I know we are not supposed to be talking to one another, but I am not entirely certain what to do right now."The senshi of the White Moon was now talking to herself just as much as the hazy figure she thought she saw somewhere in the whiteout. ß

"We can always test," Juliet's voice echoed through the haze, emotionless -- she seemed reticent to come within striking distance of Beta Leporis, judging by the blurred shape of her form that was visible. "If you attack me, I won't hurt you back. It's a learning experience, yes?" She seemed to stay still, statue-still; her image distorted no further. "I am accessible for practice, and I am your safest option." The sound of a clicked tongue floated through the air, heavy. "I doubt others will be so kind."

A test? This would be perfect to try out her attack around a real, live target! Beta Leporis truely didn't know how lucky she was right now. Albeit, the girl didn't believe in luck like her sister did. Maybe she should. Imagi steadied herself like she had done in practice and call on the power deep inside her being. "Rice Powder, Dust!"If this worked, she should have an effect to counter Juliet's. Or make it worse. She hadn't quite tested her magical attack against a similar effect like this before. ßMeighei Sailor Scout Attack: Rice Powder, Dust! Defensive/Ranged/Magic. The caster spreads out her hands and rice powder fills the air covering her body in a circle. The dust is thick enough to conceal her and she can move and see within and out of it. It has a 15-foot radius. It lasts for 30 seconds. Can be used on herself or another target three times.

It was terribly hard to see through all the dust and mist, but judging from the sound, Juliet had put one hand to her mouth and begun to cough viciously. Her 'whiteout' was a friendlier sort - she could deal with the cold perfectly fine - but the dust, in the air and in her throat, was hardly a pleasant thing. Perhaps to others, but when the cold and the wet weighed it down, it became almost a legitimate menace. "Very good," she coughed out hoarsely. "An interesting combination."

She could hear the other senshi's voice and noticed the slight cough. Did her magic's effect cause dust to affect her? Just as Beta Leporis thought about her own attack, her body involuntarily shook. That's right. She hadn't done anything to mitigate the other girl's attack. The mists were still quite chilly and she could see her hands starting to shake and her arms wrapped around her body to preserve heat. "A rather interesting combination. I wonder if..." A slight vibration in her tone noted her discomfort. "If there is a way to nullify the effects of our attacks or, at the very least, dissipate all this fog we have created."ß

"It should fade rather soon," Juliet whispered, her voice hoarse - she was cold as well, of course, but that bothered her almost none. She liked the cold. It was soothing. "We are the same power level, yes? I would assume our magics last around the same length." And as she spoke, the chill in the air began to fade, and there was a renewed clarity to Beta Leporis' vision.

As the mist began to fade and the cold vanish, she commented briefly as she watched the change closely. "I think you are right."The senshi could sense her own power beginning to wane as well until both magical effects were gone and the air was clear as day again. "That was perfect." She paused and blinked as she could see the other senshi now. "I never imagined using this power in the field like this."ß

"We both have more experience now, yes?" Juliet stepped forward, dusting off her overlay and her dress, with a slender-fingered hand extended forwards for Beta Leporis to shake. "I'm glad we've had this experience." She sounded minorly insincere, but not enough to be cause for any concern - it was really just how she was. "We should really exchange names -- my name is Sailor Juliet of Whiteouts, member of the Dark Mirror Court." She curtsied. Her posture was almost perfect. It was impressive, really.

"I am called Sailor Beta Leporis, senshi of mochi and of the White Moon."Sailor Beta Leporis took Juliet's hand lightly and tried to mimic her actions, albeit rather robotically. She wasn't entirely sure of the protocol for introducing one's self to other senshi, much less one of an opposing faction. Overall, the girl's reaction was awkward, but it was clear she was trying her best to act in a way that was appropriate. "Thank you, I think."ß
