About NaNoWriMo
History
On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.
NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month started small but has since grown into a non-profit organizations that helps young writers all over the world realize their dreams.
NaNoWriMo’s programs now include National Novel Writing Month in November, Camp NaNoWriMo, the Young Writers Program, Come Write In, and the “Now What?” Months.
How To Participate
1. Sign up on the website and fill out your profile.
2. Write your novel during the month of November. You must hit 50k words.
3. Submit your novel for word counting.
4. Collect your badge of honor!
*** There are also tons of online and offline meet-ups, write-ins, and events all over the world. It's pretty fun and you get to meet new people who love words as much as you do! <3
