There was a lady without a mask. Correction, there was a lady with exposed nipples who was also maskless. The nipples weren't really a concern - really, if you wanted your n** nops out then that was your business, in Tibbie's book. It was just... she was reasonably sure she'd seen this lady, or someone in a very similar dress, out front with the cats, before the party started. Which meant that she was probably human. And maskless. This point was really sticking with Isobel. It took a bit of time before she gathered her courage, but finally the pink-haired girl slinked over to the older woman and, trying very hard to keep her eyes above bosom-height, said; "hi! Are you, um, alright?"

Jun had not expected to find herself face to face with a younger, pink haired girl. For a moment she felt a bit ashamed for the dress she wore, knowing it was hiding nothing. Maybe she's older than she appears. Juniper certainly hoped so because if not, this felt a bit scandalous. "Um, yes I am fine I suppose." She tilted her head slightly as she studied the girl. "Why do you ask?" She offered the girl a smile despite her own sour mood. Just because she was having a s**t night didn't mean she needed to rain on anyone else's parade if they were actually enjoying themselves. Though Jun was beginning to wonder if anyone here was actually enjoying themselves, the host included. "I am sorry, it's been a bit of a rough evening for me. Have you...uh, been enjoying the party?" She noted the girl still donned her mask, and Juniper felt a little rush of relief at that. Maybe this pink-haired girl had managed to avoid any trouble. "I am Juniper by the way."

"You have no-" Tibbie gestured wispily to her own face- " mask. That's a bad thing, right? So I thought something bad might have happened to you," now that she knew the older woman was fine, Isobel was shrinking in on herself, wondering if she'd made a fool of herself for asking. Maybe it'd have been better to keep her mouth shut, but tonight had seemed a night for being brave. Luckily the other woman was more well-versed in conversation and kept going. "Oh, don't worry about it! I, yes, it's been, well, magical!" A few flowing hand gestures accompanied the enthusiastic response. "It's all so fantastic, the place, the clothes, the people, the magic! I've never seen anything like it." There was only one downside, really; "it's all very grand except for the, um, upcoming murder."

Juniper chuckled. "Yea, I gave it to someone. I am not worried about it right now. I'll figure something out before later on tonight. Don't worry about me." As the younger girl went on about how magical the night had been thus far for her, Juniper was finding herself happy that the evening had been enjoyable for at least someone. Ya know, even with the impending death looming over all of their heads. "It's definitely a sight to see isn't it?" She glanced around the room. Though her rose colored glasses had been removed, she could still enjoy the beauty that was being presented to them. "I just wish things weren't as desperate for some other people here." "So, since you've been enjoying the evening, have you had a chance to talk to any of our lovely hosts?"

Well, Juniper did seem like the type to have things under control from what little they'd interacted. Nodding, she replied; "okay! Well if you need any help or um, something I can-" she paused, not really sure what she could honestly do- "help?" It sounded more quizzical than confident, but the words were accompanied by a genuine if not slightly awkward smile. "Yes it's- the setting's wonderful and it's all so enchanting, but there's definitely downsides as well," she frowned, one hand fidgeting in her skirt. "It'd be much better without all the nasty stuff, really. I mean, if you think about it it's a bit weird to hold a party for such a somber occasion, isn't it?" At the question of the hosts she laughed nervously, waving a hand in the air, "no, no, they, um, looked quite intimidating. Very intimidating." The emphasis was heartfelt. "One of them is on fire! And one of the ladies had a look, like..." She gestured wildly. "And I'm a bit of a scaredycat I guess. Åh! But I forgot to introduce myself! To you I mean, not to them, although I didn't introduce myself to them either but I didn't mean to so it wasn't a forgetting. Um," a pause and a sheepish look. "I'm Isobel, or Tibbie and it's very nice to meet you!"

Juniper couldn't help the smile that spread on her face at the young girl's obvious nervousness. She could understand the awkwardness of talking to strangers and being social. She had been like that once upon a time. Theatre had managed to break her out of her shell though, and now she didn't much care about other opinions of her. It was a very liberating thing. "Thank you! Knowing someone is willing to lend a hand is nice." She tried to comfort Isobel's nerves without directly bringing them up. "Ah, yes. This could all be so much more magical without the looming threat of a murder ahead. Hopefully we can somehow get around that though. There's a lot of us here. Hopefully we can figure something out." "It's nice to meet you Isobel. I am glad you stopped me. It's nice to converse with someone normally like this." She grinned. "So, you haven't met any of the hosts. Hm, so I guess you've not heard any of the information some of them are giving out about the murder." She paused, contemplating what she had heard that could be remotely useful to the other girl. "Ah, there was on bit that has me a bit...well worried. There's a chance that there may be more deaths than just the sacrifice. I wasn't able to get much more info than that, but it's something to keep i mind. Keep your head down, alright."

She smiled awkwardly, hand twisting her skirt. It was kind of Juniper to say thanks when it was pretty obvious to everyone that Isobel was about as useless as one could get. Moving on in topic, she nodded fervently; " I hope so! I really don't want anyone to die. Although I hear there are some cruel people here tonight." But that wasn't a reason to kill someone, right? In her mind the preferable course of the evening would be nobody dying and everyone going home happily, but she was beginning to think that might not have the greatest chance of happening. "It is!" Something normal, soothing to remind her that life wasn't all faerie glitter and murders. "I will, thank you for the tip. I don't really know much except, um, a lady told me earlier that if I wanted to prevent pain I should get some dirt on the patrons. I'm not sure I'm the best person to do that though and I don't know who else to tell," she sort of flailed for a bit, looking as lost as her words conveyed she was.

"Yes. There are certainly some people I'd stay away from if I were you." She noted matter-of-factly. "But, seeing as you've been enjoying the evening so far I'd say you're probably hanging around the right people." Juniper didn't want to frighten the girl, so hopefully Isobel took her warning to heart but wasn't perturbed by it. A brow rose at Tibbie's tidbit of information though. "Dirt on the patrons? I am not sure how easy that will be considering how damn closed lip they are. But, I may have to try to snoop around some more. Thank you." With a wink she brushed a stray piece of blonde hair from her face. "I doubt we have too much time left either. It's...hard to tell time here. Things just seem to either fly by or go by incredibly slow." She glanced past Isobel to the rest of the party. "I will see about trying to dig up some information on the patrons though. How about, if either of us hear anything, we try to find one another to pass off the information? The more that knows what's going on would be best."

"I made a friend tonight!" Isobel was all puffed up like a peacock, proud of her achievement. "Well, I think I did - she cried, but it was anxiety and not me being horrible. Although I pulled her through a crowd when she hates crowds, but I didn't know that at the time; does that count as being horrible? It does, doesn't it?" By the end of her ramble, she'd lost the proud expression and was back to fidgeting with her hands and biting her lip. She really wished she hadn't messed up with Susan, but in the end the other girl had smiled at her, so maybe they were still friends-to-be? It was hard to tell. "Um, you're welcome," the rose-haired girl blushed, flowers buds blooming prettily. "I'm glad to have been of use!" She followed Juniper's gaze, nodding obediently to her words; "yes, that sounds like an eminent plan! If all us humans have to work together to stop the murder, sharing information is probably the best way of doing that, right?"

Juniper couldn't help the chuckle. The poor girl was obviously so excited yet nervous about...well...everything it seemed like. It was really adorable. "I think it'll be fine. After all, you didn't know she didn't like crowds. It's part of learning about each other." She shrugged. "I am sure if you made a friend she'd understand and forgive you." "But yea, sticking together is for the best. We need to try and get people out of here alive and well, so the more sharing the better." It was then that Juniper's attention was pulled by something across the room. Was that one of the Patrons? She didn't want to take a chance that is was and miss them. So she turned her attention back to Isobel. "Alright, I am gonna head out and see what I can learn. I will talk to you later, alright?" She winked in farewell, before hurrying off in the direction she had seen the possible patron. Ephebe I wanted to get those closed up. Hope that's alright. Also, the art in your sig is ADORABLE!
